I think we have come to take for granted how competent and capable all cars are these days. Now we have rigs that can take us into the wilds of the outback or the hazards of CostCo parking lots both comfortably and reliably. I just never thought we would need want them to. To be honest, I have a AWD wagon and wouldn't have it any other way. AWD is just safer in all driving situations. Great review!

Tom, I wish the roads to my grocery store were this flat. It is uphill both ways!!! Do you remember the bridge in the 1977 film "Sorcerer" ? My neighbourhood dreams of a gorge crossing that stable ;-)

I own the 2023 X-Pro in wolf gray. I couldn't get the X-Pro Prestige model due to lack of inventory. I could of ordered one but I didn't feel like waiting for 2 1/2 months to get it. So far I really like it. I get a lot of complements on the looks of it. Only gripe I have is its lack of power. This is my first SUV and first AWD vehicle so maybe its just me. The car i traded in on this vehicle was a 2016 Chevy Malibu 2.0T with 250 horsepower and a shit ton of torque. Maybe it will just take a little time to get used to this motor.

Hello my family got one too, same trim, can I ask do you hand wash it or can it go in a car wash facility? Also what kind of gas do you use to fill up? Ty

@@ViVi-qb5hu I believe the only one you have to hand wash is the graphite gray color. It’s a matte finish. I use 87 octane without issue

Love it........Except for the piano black everywhere. Looks as though if you own one you'll have to keep a microfiber towel close by 🤭

😂😂 I have a micro fiber towel in the glovebox and center console! I also use it on the digital displays for finger prints!

Dry trails are easy, use it on mud, the outcome will be absolutely different.

People are stuck in the past of Kia. Kia isn’t the same thing they used to be anymore. One of the nicest cars below $40,000 msrp.

I get it... I do.... The trend today is "Off Road" vehicles. As a Sportage owner myself, I can tell you that this version isn't quite ready for "Off Road". It's overhangs and lack of ground clearance makes it just like every other car in the Walmart parking lot. Adding "Off Road" tires and stability electronics does not mean it's ready to hit the trails. It's basically marketing at it's finest...

It is indeed ready for moderate off-roading. Adding ground clearance helps plus electronics and tires do make a difference. This is not intended to do what a Wrangler does.

All these displays in these vehicles are going to be absolute junk and illegible in 5 plus years. They'll be horrible lol

smartphones from 10 years ago still have usable displays and those are used much more than a car infotainment... and a 10 year warranty so who cares, that's a problem for the 4th owner ;)

Outside styling: way too much. Dashboard inside: awful tablets. I am keeping my 2009 car for as long as it is capable to move by itself.

Are you just upset that you have a hard time understanding new technology? You keep using that road atlas, Siri will guide me on the 12.3 screen.
