Was set to buy a XCF-W as I felt I couldn't handle a 2T at my age anymore. After a crazy amount of research I changed my mind and bought one. Pick it up Tuesday. I'm 54 and this thing just sounds absolutely perfect for me and the northern New England tight trails. Need a low end torque lugger big time. Mellow linear power delivery and above all light weight for my old ass. Stoked
Just bought 2023 Husqvarna TE300 which is basically same bike as this XC-W except has linkage shock, DID dirt star wheels, billet triple clamps, pro taper bars, map switch, and composite subframe. I would never buy the first year model of an entirely new bike, I'll let KTM work the bugs out for a couple years at least. Plus I really like the separate oil tank that lasts 3-5 tanks of fuel and no premix, the bike is plated for street legal use so it's nice to be able to pull up to the gas pump with no fuss when connecting trails. I know lots of guys with tpi bikes and everyone loves em for being super low maintenance.
I'm picking up same bike Saturday in New Hampshire, last bike I had was 2000 cr 250, really like your videos, my question is what mix oil works the best in the ktm when only doing slow woods riding, thanks
I just bought a 300 and I think it’s a smart move honestly, these tpi bikes have been perfected since 2018. I’d wait a couple years for KTM to work the bugs out of these entirely new models.
thank you so much for the clarification as I was getting so confused. So if I buy a 2023 KTM XC 300 it will be all new? Do we know what the improvments are?
I do mainly trail riding but if I get comfortable I might try and hit a hare scramble race, would I be at a disadvantage on a XCW ? I like to go fast sometimes but I’m not skilled enough to haul ass all the time. I’ve been trying to figure out which bike would be best for me
