When tightening the steering them i always loosen the bottem clamps so it pulls them up rather than loosening the top and pulling the forks up which will change the fork height. Bikes killer🤙🏻

So different than a Japanese machine to work on, I learned a couple of things I can use on my Husky. What is the clear tape you put on prior to the grip tape? Purpose? Frame finish protection? Thanks and good luck this coming season. Oh and the bike looks really good.

Bike looks good! I have a couple of questions. Where do you get the clear and sticky foam tape that you put under the frame guards? Also, how was the P3 skid plate to install? I see that it doesn’t mount using the stock forward mounting points. Thanks again for great content!

Have you always ran your spindle with the cap on the left side? Was told to always run it on the right, so in case the spindle spins (for whatever reason) it tightens rather than loosens.

This bike looks good but last years graphics kit was insane, new bikes numbers are weird. But love the channel, definitely close to that factory fill in speed your doing awesome dude! 👏

Are the clamp bolts for the bars under the clamps instead of on top?

Officer Walker!! The stache! 👍 Everything you did to the bike is right on! So many guys don't grease their bike & even more don't install their front end & wheel correctly. Nice job man! 👏 Even though that bike wasn't greased properly from the factory, it is WAAAAY better than the Kawasaki's are greased! My Kawasaki's basically had like a thin film of baby oil on everything. Like a really thin, clear oil more so than grease. That exhaust looks absolutely dope!! 😎

Can't go wrong w/KTM bud. They seem to be pretty far ahead of the other brands technologically. Definitely setting the standard. Just wish all KTMs had the orange frame! My '23 450 SXF is awesome but orange frame looks much better than black. May get orange rear fender too. Not big on the white. Love all else. Has so much power! This filing and angles were incredible. Just mesmerizing. I think I'm going to do a build on my '04 YZ125, I just need to get a job because I'm 15 now and I need to find somebody with a vapor blasting cabinet. Don't have 2-3 grand to build a bike yet.

Greasing from new is a great idea when I bought my brand new 2018 Ktm 150 sx luckily noticed it was missing a linkage Bush before to much damage occurred. Assembly dude was smoking some shit that day 😅Good tip ❤

Ktm should sell bikes to you without forks and shit, like chasis, motor, swing arm and shit like that for cheaper. That way you could save money and they wouldn't be making parts youre just going to throw away.

Hey Jeff -- on the order of front end steps, why not change 2 and 6 to "snug upper triple clamp" since the fork height lines are in the upper clamp and might move/change a little when you tighten the steering stem nut with the bottoms snug? Just curious if there was a reason.

Those renthal Kevlar grips are great the only grips that didn’t give me blisters 👍

I was puting a p3 skid on my 23 ktm450 yesterday and I had the hardest time getting the front mount to line up, curious if you did too?

Do you have a regular job outside of racing and RU-vid? Always been curious.

I swapped the ktm 450 engine with a 5.7 liter diesel out of a k5 blazer and got alot more torque. If ama lets me race it I’ll take the whole field.

How come that dirtbikes don't have to be tunned after installing an aftermarket exhaust system but cars do need tune?

Thank you for making this video! I bought the 300SX after watching you rip it up at Red Bud last Spring. I've been meaning to perform this service ever since I found out that KTM skimps on grease during the assembly process, and your video was exactly what I needed to get started. I followed your steps, along with my service manual for the torque specs, and everything turned out perfect. Took me 2 days by myself, but now it's ready. I haven't ridden it yet because it's been Winter, but will be doing so next weekend. Thanks again! I wish you the best of luck this season!

I just road a factory ktm 450 and it’s was explosive fast. I’ve always wonder how much different a factory vs stock bike was. They don’t even come close to comparing. It was like riding a rocket absolutely insane.

If you can get one weekend on a factory bike that would be insane. As a long time supporter that would make me so happy to see a legend like you on a factory ride even on a 250👀.
