The change from e-Pedal is also on other new EV's. Long term Discs not being used tend to deteriorate faster. So making you use the brake just for the last bit means less wear.
That's a great reminder! Indeed so, we need to make sure we do use the brakes at least once a month. Don't need them to fail on us WHEN we need them. :)
