2023 Opening of the Soo Locks and First Freighter, The Edwin H. Gott 

We are in Sault Ste. Marie for a very special occasion and that is the opening of the Soo Locks for the 2023-2024 season. It is a big deal to be the first freighter through the Locks each season and this year it is the Edwin H. Gott. We got media access to board the boat and take part of the celebration to honor the Edwin H. Gott from the Great Lakes Fleet as the first freighter through the Locks! #freighter #SooLocks #EdwinHGott
