32:16 am I the only one who sees the spotter marking this OB position incorrectly based on where the disc went out of bounds? It's only a few feet but I'm just surprised folks at Worlds aren't fluent in the rules (PDGA Rule 806.02 D2)
32:02 The spotter just blatantly marks the wrong spot on Isaac's throw lol.. I hope he wasn't doing that all day because that's not how marking an OB shot works haha
"yeah.. I played with Eagle who went over the top of the basket with a midrange.." I straight snort laughed at this Uli line. great coverage as always!
32:15 thank you for volunteering, but this spotter needs to be trained on how to mark a disc that goes OB. He appears clueless by not marking where the disc actually went out.
Jerm could not be more accurate about the fan support in VT this week. It has been incredible. Even in the rain, VT showed up BIG time. Couldn't be more proud of my fellow VT'ers.
Why is the framerate so choppy/weird on this upload? Tried restarting chrome and my computer but it's just the upload (other videos on YT are playing back as normal). Giving me a headache to watch
I love the combination of play by play and color commentary. Coolest part is each member of the commentary crew can take either role! Best commentary crew ever and GK or whatever the other one putting worlds coverage out needs to have some color commentary and not just boring play by play.
32:10 oh my. Spotters might need a little more training. I know they are volunteers but they need to be marking the disc where it goes out or the last spot inbounds. Not mark the disc closest to inbounds. Anyone can look and do that.
I am a little confused... Does Issac Robinson foot fault on his approach shot on hole 1? I see his green disc but his plant foot seems a little to the left of the disc... 7:11 on.
The discourse around Isaac’s putting is actually crazy. I would have thought he was top 5 in the world by what I’ve seen and heard… he’s not even in the top 50!
32:05 - Incompetent spotter moved Isaac's lie ~1.5 metres from the spot the disc left inbounds. Aren't spotters supposed to, you know, spot? 37:58 - Poor Calvin! If only there were some sort of magic technologies which could somehow shield a person's eyes from the glare of the sun. Thanks, as always, JomezPro.
I saw that too, I mean he's literally like 5 meters away max from that disc when it went OB and he marks it at the closest point to the disc. Felt like he didn't know the rules of OB.
I attended DGLO, and just wanted to comment on Jerm's comment early about food vendors running out of food. DGLO had a total of 2 food trucks, 2 for the weekend. I'm not sure how many were here at world's, but I think the TD's could do a better job at the food truck thing.
32:10 cmon spotter… do your job a little better. He did not cross there. If it’s an honest mistake, I get it. But this is the world championships and those little lie changes can make all the diff
I’m disappointed in the commentary team for the fumbled opportunity to call Evan’s drive on 5 a “ huge missed-stake”. Jerm and Uli I can understand, but Nate? I thought you were a dad?!
Hole 5 - Calvin's opportunity but he passed. Scared? Disinterested? Not good enough for a world champ. Gotta go for it in the last round of the world championships.
I don’t get it- James Conrad wasn’t on the Day1 feature card with the other past world champs, he’s not in any of the promotional clips I’ve seen celebrating all the past Champs… what’s the deal? He admittedly hasn’t had a great year, but neither did Chris Dickerson (not a world champ) who was on the Champs card. The most amazing World’s win ever, a catalyst for tremendous growth of the sport, and it’s like he’s not even there…
