The fact Paul sat down to talk about that shot a year later even though you know he went through so much shock and pain, to sit and be positive and give his perspective but not make it about him is awesome to see.

I've been a casual player since I was 13 and just turned 38. I fell out of it for a while, and after losing my mom and becoming sober from alcoholism right after, this sport has saved my life in so many ways!

The most beautiful, divine moment there will ever be. In any sport. As Nate Sexton said... "This isn't a home run in the bottom of the 9th in a world series, this isn't a 3 pointer to win the NBA championship. This is BIGGER."

Witnessing this moment in person was one of the greatest events in my life. I'll never forget the energy and emotions we felt in those stands.

I've been playing Disc golf since 2005,I'm 63 years old and have played and watched sports virtually my entire life.The shot by James Conrad in my opinion is as good if not better than any situation in sports I've seen or been involved in!I still get chills and feel strong emotions watching it.I hope to continue to play by the grace of God and I really feel the sport is only in its beginning stages.Thanks to anyone involved with the sport from the players to the volunteers!

This was an incredible doc. I'm very impressed with the production of this and I appreciate everyone involved. I'll never forget this shot, it truly did so much for the sport and we all owe James Conrad a debt of gratitude for making such a clutch play. That World Championship was so much fun from so many places from Kevin Jones having a great run and me yelling at my TV while his disc rolled ob (twice) on 16. Calvin making some huge plays and giant putts to stay in contention round after round. Watching Nate Sexton play at the highest level again. Watching the 5x world champ Paul McBeth fight so hard then lose in a moment like that and handle it with poise and move forward. James Conrad will never be forgotten in our sport. I can't even imagine what it takes to make that shot, then step up to hole 16 and put away your emotions and calm your body enough to park a drive on an Island hole like 16. He was already a big name in disc golf but after that one shot, he's immortalized.

That was my first time going to watch a tournament and I got to witness the best shot in history. Such an amazing day. I will remember that moment forever.

Hi, I just started playing about two months ago after a guy at work invited me. Living in Long Island NY this sport is still very much a secret. My girlfriend told me explaining it to everyone who asks where I am is exhausting. 😄 We only have 2 courses on the whole island and the nearest one to me is 30 minutes away. This doesn’t stop me from playing 3 times a week but I can’t wait until it finally catches on around here. I love the sport and I know SO many more people will as well if they only knew. I wish someone would come build a nice course out here on the east end of the island. I can’t wait for the growth of this sport out here in the future. Thanks to everyone who was responsible for the creation, evolution and growth of this sport thus far. I appreciate you guys for a sport I love and have quickly become obsessed with 😊

Got into the game in 2020 as a way to get some sun while mostly locked away in the dungeons of my work and home. I knew there were pros, but the sport was still just kinda a local thing. Witnessing James's shot on youtube as a newbie... felt amazing. I just barely got in at the ground level RIGHT before taking off. What a time to be alive, and even better time to be disc golfing. Thank you for this documentary. Beautifully done

I had just been introduced to this sport barely a month before the "holy shot". I watched it on coverage next day and had no idea what had happened. What a moment! I literally remember thinking it was over, with James having to lay up, and thinking the best he can do is park it...but that just means Paul can casually get up and down for the win. I was excited for that, because as I was just learning about disc golf and its history, my limited exposure to the sport had me rooting for Paul's now assured 6th world championship! Then, to watch that Envy slowly turn and pan out into the basket, from close to 250ft away, I was immediately in shock...just as the crowd was....knowing it was now going to be pushed into a playoff! That moment, I felt my entire stance shift and I was now wanting to see James win the playoff, because I felt he deserved it after fighting through the entire tournament and capping off 18 with that miracle throw!! This moment catapulted me into disc golf obsession and from there I began buying disc after disc, haven't missed coverage for a single tournament since then, got my PDGA # and began entering tournaments myself. Thank you James, Paul, PDGA, DGPT, and the entire history of the sport for bringing this amazing thing into my life. Wish I would have found this sport years ago! 💪

I got into the game because of Brodie Smith. When he started making fun, colorful, and entertaining Disc Golf content. It started popping up on my page. And I couldn't resist. Went out and bought a Buzz and a Roach and have played almost everyday since.

I watched the 2021 worlds before I ever touched a disc. I have picked up the game because of that throw! Love the sport!

Awesome history. I started playing in 1975 in Auckland, NZ. I turned 70 last year and am still playing in Nelson NZ.

Having met James and Paul, and also proud to say Micheal Johansen was the partially responsible party for first exposure to Monty Python & The Holy Grail when I was 15, I can attest these individuals are 100% class acts. Very friendly and love to shoot the shit, but when the discs are flying... .snake eyes. pure competitors. This is a great documentary. I remember when I first saw this shot way up in the mountains of NC and my jaw dropped. I was running around and dancing and enjoying the moment... not against Paul and not for James, but for the sport. something truly special had just happened. Also I am glad this movie covered the women's tees as that alone was a helluva story.

the most clutch moment in SPORTS history

I was introduced to this game in late 1999, La Mirada Park in Cali. Lived in Brea which is close by. I live in the Pittsburgh area now and turned 40 this year. I love this game, my family loves this game, and we'll help grow the sport forever. This was so great to watch.

I only saw the MPO side on Jomez, so I had no idea how closely the FPO and MPO rounds mirrored each other. I almost feel bad for Katrina. Her shot was a miracle and made for such a great underdog story beating Paige, but James' shot overshadowed it so much that I had never even seen it before. Even more than that, I didn't even remember that she won. That story makes the 2021 worlds even cooler for me. It had amazing moments on both sides and epitomizes why I love the game so much

Being at 2021 Worlds and witnessing The Shot is easily the best thing I have ever been apart of in my life. 2 years later I still get chills watching it. Amazing.

Like a lot of people I tried the sport during the COVID crap and fell in love instantly with it even though I was not good at all but that just made me want to get better. A few years later I won my local league for the first time against people who have played a lot longer and are definitely better than me and just that alone was a great feeling. I love this sport and I don't think I'll ever stop playing.

I’m so late to watching this, but wow, what an incredibly well made documentary. Totally agree with the other commenters that Paul is goat for being part of this. Could never watch that moment too many times. I also can remember exactly the moment I watched that happen live. 🙌

All the pressure, the tree hit on his tee shot, the frustration, and the ability to calm himself. To throw a putter, on a turnover, that far, that precisely, with the sun in your face, without being able to see the hole from his position regardless, behind by 1, to a 5x world champion, on the final hole, of the world championship, after COVID, surrounded by all the fans who were there, both in person, and watching the online coverage, you could hear a pin drop in the tall grass, then came the sonic boom of the roaring crowd! Disc golf entered a new era of recognition and acceptance as a sport worldwide and gained so many new fans and players, the sport will never be the same because of this shot. 5x female champion was upset on the final hole, and the 5x male champion was upset on the final hole. You couldn’t even believe it, and every time you watch it, you just want to watch it again, and again, and again, and again!

Just the sound of the crowd alone should be enough to tell you disc golf is officially here to stay, so glad I found my way to this community when I did! Best month of my life! Already been out for almost 25 rounds! Went from +46 with dollar store discs to +2 with a full set of fantastic discs, and hoping to only get better!!

I'm 50 now and only in my second season of playing this sport. I caught the coverage of this shot last winter and I STILL watch it. Today I found this tribute to this amazing sport and it made me cry❤

Just wanna say that this shot was the birth of my love for disc golf. I was a brand new spectator when worlds was happening and James winning sparked a fire that has been burning ever since🔥

I started playing in 2015 and I've experienced a massive growth of the sport and loved every second of it. It's truly humbling thinking how it must feel for those first guys who at one point knew every single player personally.

Believe or not, the finals and the holy shot was my first experience of watching disc golf, ive been hooked ever since.

My 11 year old son and i just went out for our first round. I dont know how he feels ablut the game yet, but i am madly in love. I can actually afford to play too. Its so wonderful.

Greatest sport moment ever. Great documentary showcasing this sport and this event. I started to disc golf in April of this year (2023), 2 weeks ago I played my first tournament. After discovering this sport, disc golf is all I ever want to do. I'm 27 years old and I will play this sport as long as I can.

Great memory watching this live traveling across the country. I couldn’t stop talking about it my entire vacation.

I used to play at least 3x a week back in the 1990's. There were some awesome courses in Summit County Colorado. I then got into darts and stopped playing disc golf. So after 23 years or so I just got back into it. Thankfully a brand new course opened up 1/2 mile down the road from me. I'm getting back into it full send. Can't get enough of it. This was a GREAT video btw!!

Played very casually for the last decade or so, but watching the worlds made me realize there is so much more room for my game to grow. Now, 2023 was my first year joining tournaments. Still got a lotta room to grow, but it's been a great ride so far. Would love to compete at a higher level one day like these guys.

This is an amazing Doc! This is very well put together! and for someone who has watched disc golf grow since 2015. I got to see the BOOM of the sport i love. That worlds will live in infamy! two wonderful shots to give the trailing person the title opportunity! Those shots were the culmination of soo much more than a sport. The timing of everything all these new players watching. it was just meant to be!!

Found the Jomez coverage of the 2019 worlds in my RU-vid recommendations. Had never heard of the sport but was hooked immediately. Have been watching every single tournament Jomez's covered since. I hope disc golf continues to grow worldwide so we have an even more competitive international field of players in the future.

So true, the flight of the disc is so beautiful! I am so glad I got a chance to play Oak Grove. I started in 1981 with a 141, and got a supper puppy a little later. Kenny is still the GOAT. Great documentary.

I started playing in 2018 and on the busiest days of my home course (Oak Grove), I might see maybe a dozen other players total. Nowadays, the course has tons of players by 8am on weekends. I’m happy to see the sport growing so quickly!

I'm really excited about this, I don't remember such a big moment in any sport. In Spain DiscGolf is a growing sport and I see similarities with the time when the sport was born, I am very happy with what it is becoming and to be part of all this

Disc Golf has so many great champions, but McBeth, Conrad, Pierce, Tattar~ amazing demeanors and representation of the sport.

My teenager, who never voluntarily shares anything, saw this on his phone and immediately ran over and had to show this to me.

I was a volunteer there and I remember when FPO finishing thinking, “that was the best finish and can’t be topped.” Then sitting there on 18 spotting as McBeths tee shot comes in barely inbounds in front of me and Conrad goes OB…that was it. It was over. Holy Shot! I was wrong!

I saw it on RU-vid live, but I didn’t realize how similar the FPO and MPO endings were. Incredible.

This was so good!! I love this sport and I will play it until the day I die as well. Its just so great to get out in the open outdoors and enjoy nature and everything around!! Love every moment I have ever played and will play in the future!!

Great documentary on disc golf. That got me 😢 but man I love this sport. I myself got to experience Worlds23 in Sept. in Vermont. Seeing Isaac Robinson throw n putt so calm n poise with how huge the crowd is was amazing. Vermont is gorgeous and it’s courses as well as the community. Cold Hollow is a must play, it was my favorite.
