We swap accessories over from Ryan's current PSE OMEN with S2 cams, to the new for 2023 OMEN with EC2 cams which features all the updated components.
Follow along as we compare the speeds between the two bows, see which has the more comfortable draw cycle, and give our initial overall impressions.

I’m at 27.5” draw 68-70 lbs draw weight. I was getting 287 fps with 440 grain arrow with my S2 cam EVO XF. My Omen EC2 with same arrow is getting 282 fps, or 287 fps with 430 grain. Perhaps if you decrease the letoff 80% you could get 2-3 fps increase. I totally agree, the EC2 cam is buttery smooth / comfortable vs that jumpy / harsh S2 cam. And shim system is super easy to tune, no more limb axel lobotomy.

What I noticed is that there isn't much loss in speed when going from S2 to EC2 but the comfortability is huge. Even if you wanted to get the same speed you could always do like you said, play around with the letoff or lighten up the arrow a bit. Thanks for the comment.

I was at 356 fps with 60 lbs draw , 29" inch draw and 350 grain arrows... But I have noticed thag 28" inch suits me more... I might gonna have to switch to 400 grain arrows...

I am a comfort guy over performance any day of the week but seems odd that you would upgrade from a speed bow with sub 6 inch brace height to the same speed bow with the trade offs you have to have with a speed bow yet get it in a cam that shoots 12fps or more slower? If you wanted smooth and stable why not go with the fortis 33 with the EC2 cam?

We did this so that we could long term test two different hunting bows this season from PSE, Travis is shooting the Fortis 33 and Ryan will be shooting this OMEN both with same Cams.
