Like the reviews but every chrono I have seen has the PSE minimum with in 5 fps and I think your reviews over all have become more favoring other brands over some other brands. The majority of your speed tests are usually 10fps off or worse. I think you need a new chrono. And you didn’t mention the full draw stability system. Flagship for 1100.00 and a 4???
Stop worrying about what people think Josh. They can either take the knowledge or not. Personally, everyone is way to picky. Im not gunna "not buy a bow" cause of 3 f.p.s. Your already testing everything someone needs. If they dont like it, who cares. 90% of viewers appreciate you brother ❤
To everyone complaining about the tests and grading scores, he clearly states that they are his opinion. And to go shoot the bows for yourself to see if they are the right bow for you. If you are interested in this bow, and you came to watch for his opinion, I suggest watching other reviews on the bow and see what others are saying about it as well. Never take one opinion on such a high dollar investment. Do some research, and then decide.
Just a ponder, would using the vibration tester attach to the sight / sight location not be the most accurate way of knowing? Wouldn’t it be best to be directly attached to said bow ? Still enjoy these reviews 👍👍👍
Great review, and thanks for making the vidoes. Lots of complainers but last I checked this is free info and we are free to form our own opinions. Go shoot them for yourselves and decided if these are the bows for you. I have no dog in the fight I owned a bowtech ss 33, rx7 ultra, and phase 4 last year so I could spend time and choose the bow that fit me. ✌️
These reviews are getting too inconsistent now. Especially from someone who has heavily criticized other archer’s testing. You’re flying through these reviews so that you’re the first one to post and that’s understandable, but I think a lot of people would rather have consistent testing. Some you’re using drop away rests, some using biscuits, most being tested at 70lbs, now at 60, some 350 grain arrows, now 300 to compensate poundage. If the manufacturer didn’t send you a bow that falls under certain required specs then don’t test it. Their loss. We’re also shooting arrows with missing vanes? Come on.. Your grading system has become inconsistent as well. Mathews was 17fps off IBO and got a 4/5, This PSE and Hoyt’s RX8 Ultra were just over 10fps vs IBO and got 3s. Please don’t start losing credibility. You’ve got a a ton of archers that look up to you and value your opinion as well as what you have to say, me included.
Mathews always gets raving reviews by people that are obviously huge mathews fans. They can do almost no wrong... even when they are lagging so far behind in the tuning department. Even prime has now overtaken them with tuning. Yes, switchweight is great.... but I want to be able to TUNE the bow with taking axles out. PSE and Prime can be done without taking out the axle now...bowtech and elite are miiles ahead on tuning with bowtech being the clear winner. I do like mathews.... I own 2. They shoot incredibly well and feel great... but they just keep throwing proprietary crap on their bows and make very small fundamental changes to ease of use. Still using mods and tophats like the were yeears ago. I dont buy this whole mods are more efficient crap either. Its a money making gimmick largely speaking. In theory, sure the cam should be a touch more efficient.... but then why can I put the same spec mathews and PSE target bows side by side and my PSE shoots 8fps faster. Both have super smooth linear draw cycles. The PSE has way more vibration and noise, yes, and the mathews does feel much more shootable... but the fact is the PSE uses a rotating mod and draws super smooth and hits 8 fps faster than my TRX. My old man has an elite, also rotating mods, same specs as my mathews... and they are the same speed. Elite may even be a touch faster..... so, this mod thing is nothing but a money grab. Everyone else can make their bows just as fast, or faster, with just as nice feeling draw cycles and give people piles of adjustability. If mathews keeps their shootability factor, and finally comes out with a tuning and adjustment system that is more micro adjustable and easier, they will have a real winner. Bowtech seems to be leading the charge with making bows very accessible and tunable for everyone. You can get a bowtech and make it draw how you like, how long you want, with the let off you want, and tune the piss out of it, all with an allen key. THAT is something to be proud of. As soon as bowtech makes a new target bow with a better riser and more parallel limbs, I will be all over it. On a note regarding PSE in the video... I am glad to see them move to a static roller guide. Those cable slides were always lacking. I'm not sure I like the look of the roller guide on this PSE, but its a step in the right direction.
He’s not even testing at IBO specs but instead is using ATA specs and then is comparing his ATA spec to the manufacturers IBO specs…. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Hello anchor, it's been a hard time recording the video. Thank you very much. I would like to ask if it is possible to test the shootdown proS2 m2 wheelset, as the previous shootdown was several years ago. Anyway, thank you very much again!
Enjoy your reviews, but I say ditch the vibration meter. It is too inconsistent with its readings plus nowadays the minimal vibration that anybody’s bow has if you are paying attention to that you’re not paying attention to your shot.
Wow, another review where a bow gets dinged for speed when you come no where close to testing the speed in the same fashion as the manufacturer! Come on man…
Would like to see you shooting bare shafts through the chrono because if your using the mini max fletching jig it will slow the arrows down big time because of the radical helical will create a lot of drag and not give an accurate speed.
Ehhh...I see your point, but I personally have never hunted with bare shafts. I think he is wanting to give a more "real world" accurate speed, contrasting the mfg advertised speeds, hence the 350/450/550 sequence.
Do you really feel like you have to though? Manufacturers are fluctuating between a slider and a roller anyway. Therefore I don't think one is inherently better than the other, so I personally don't think I'd have to.
@@Rikcey I've tuned with an adjustable slider and it makes a difference. Increasing the side load can do the same as pushing the rest away from the riser. Reducing the load, or putting the slider closer to the string, is the same as pushing the rest towards the riser. On my bow (it's a bit of a lemon) I need to pull the slider right next to the arrow to clear up a nock left. It makes as big of a difference as moving the cams one shim width. It's about the horizontal nock travel. The rest adjusts the end point. The cams and yokes can adjust the starting point, end point, and direction by adjusting load through the limbs (starting with a bias on one side). The cable guard adjusts the middle bit but affects the start point. As you draw back, there's more load on the cable guard, so it'll have a greater effect on the string at full draw than at rest.
Great bow an nice cams I’m in Australia so I would have to wait a little bit to get one so I have to see witch bow I really want before I by a 2024 bow Absolutely love your opinion on bows because they are the facts that you need to know Keep it up
Great video MFJJ as always! I've really never liked PSE's draw cycle. No idea why, it just never really felt great. Headed to my local bow shop this weekend to give some of the new stuff a try. Thanks for the great content brother! 🤙🤘
Dont watch it then. And do your own reviews. Hes the most reliable and consistant bow reviewer on youtube. and he doesnt even shoot a mathews, so saying hes bias is dumb as hell. And he came out with a video explaining why he does what he does. Maybe you should watch it ,then comment. Theres always going to be stuff hes doing that someone doesnt like. And remember this isnhis opinion, not fact. Hes not the end all be all. Hes more thorough then any other reviewer out there.
