What is a quilt as you go? It simply means we are going to quilt the individual blocks first, then put them all together! When the blocks are attached, you have a finished top and the smaller size of the blocks makes it easier to quilt on a domestic sewing machine. This makes it easy to practice free motion quilting or new quilting motifs and designs without having to worry about a big bulky quilt. As you get better at quilting, you can then move on to bigger quilts until you are comfortable quilting any size on your machine!
