567 is not an aero truck. That would be the 579. The 567 is simply a slick looking, wider cab, slightly angled square hood new school 389. It needs a slightly longer hood in my opinion but stay tuned for the new 389 replacement (589). It will be pretty close to that.
Well, the set back front axle 567 does look like an Aero truck though! Yuck. Not the 567 like this though, with a set forward front axle and almost identical front fenders as a 389.

You meant the only thing not the same on any of them though is the hood and cab . Don't look under the hood and cab though as everything on 389, 579, 567 are, all the same. Not sure why 389 guys think that if it's not a 389, it's plastic, aero, junk? Not true. Same axles? Yep. Same motors? Yep. Same frames? Yep. Same suspension? Yep. Same wheels, tires, axle ratios? I think it is awesome, make it a 6:05, 18, 5 & a half inch drop front axle, Lolo air ride, 8 Instax, 280 wheelbase, pulling a spread axle reefer, it would just be beautiful, don't forget to throw the half fenders in
I've heard rumors that the new 589 will have the breathers like the 389. So I'm wondering if it's going to be similar to this truck, just with a long hood and breathers on the side. Another salesman has said that he has seen pictures of the 589. I guess time will tell.
Hey, dude, if and when the 389 ever goes away, that'll be the end of Peterbilt. They already put fake stacks on their other models. They're pushing it as it is.
With the wider cab you really don’t need the foldable arm rests. I have them and never use them in this same set up. Turned out great! Thanks for the video.
Interested to know some info missing from reviews & Pete's site. Hight of 567 mid roof & ultraloft w/fake stacks. Also Interested in links of otr o/o who utilizes 567 & does sm with reviews, updates, etc...also Interested if anyone thinks x12n is good in these for 48ft flatbed or dry van loads and to what degree payload wise, gcwr, etc..
Nice looking truck. On the 567 can someone order one with the 18 speed automatic with the column shifter? Also can you get a 285 or 290" wheelbase with the 80" sleeper?
Right? I couldn’t possibly drive something with fake stacks and a weed burner. I looked at new trucks and pulled my old ‘96 FLD out of the weeds and started rebuilding it. I’ll work it until I find an older 379 and rebuild it. That’ll take me to retirement and I’ll never have to own a POS truck with DEF.

Okay I'm hoping that Peterbilt does not get rid of the 389 which I own one and the reason why KW came out with the w990 is so it could have the paccar motor in it the 389 can have the Cummins are the paccar which Kenworth W-9 could not that's why they built the new w990 so it could have the the MX-13 paccar platform. Now if it came down of me buying the 567 or the w990 I would go with the w990 cuz to me it's a better looking truck than the 567 w990 it still has the nostalgia look to it I'm hoping that Peterbilt come up with something better than the w990 but if not that's where I'm going .I'm Peterbilt through and through but I'm not going to drive an ugly truck it's all about nostalgia .keep up the great vids.
I'd be much happier with a full traditional setup....... All those electronics where the hell out of me I can just see sitting at the side of the road trying to figure out how to get the damn thing to fire up....... Another thing I really hate these automatics at 12... I was sitting at the side of the road with my tractor pointing uphill on probably a two to three degree incline and I could not get the thing for a half hour to pop out of Park..... Give me a plain old 10 speed and I'll be a lot happier.... I really hate the way that they downshift at the bottom of the hill will take you down to like third gear for you to climb the whole damn hill in that gear...... I would much rather hit the hill in 10th gear and slowly work my way down to 3rd by the top of the hill.... Some of these hills you could be 20 minutes difference between those two transmissions.... The stick shift winning... 565 horsepower with a 13 speed holy mackerel now that's a freeway flyer
Those are not 45 cut tips on the exhaust, 45's are straight ! I'll say one thing it got absolutely deafening quiet when you shut the door! Damn good sound deadening in the cab!
This is very similar to one I am looking to get built here soon just have to find a salesman to work with haha! Just looking for a 44” sleeper with like a 215” wheelbase.
That is the dilemma! Best I’ve heard is late Q4 this year or mid Q1 next year. But I’m sure it’s pushed out further than that by now. It’s changing daily and that was the info I was given late March.
If you don't change out those quarter hogebuilt fenders to half or full fenders the tires will throw rocks at that back window and bust it out. I have a 2021 567 Peterbilt with a rear window and had to upgrade my fenders. Also, lower aerodynamic hood allows rock and other debris to hit the windshield. Ive replaced my windshield 3 times. I added a bugshield/rock guard on the ftont of the hood. I haven't had any more damage to the windshield.
