Ill admit im more if D.C. guy but i did collect the marvel comics in the late 80's early 90's and the art work on the cover of these toys is what attracted me to this toy line. Beautiful art work. I also feel they did an amazing job on the figures.
This was a great toy line! I have several of theme and they all looked great. They were also incredibly well packaged and I normally don’t care about cards and boxes. I opened some and When I hold these figures in my hand the inner 7 year old in me is very happy. It’s shame they didn’t make more.
I wish Hasbro would focus on completing teams before putting lines on “hiatus”. Colossus, Nightcrawler, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Dr.Strange, and Namor would have finished the line well
These 6 figures are precisely what Hasbro needs to release on PULSE as a complete send off for the line. I would even add Beast and Angel to complete the original X-Men (and this would work well as a Defenders team set along with Doctor Strange, Namor and Hulk). This line was a crown jewel for those who grew up with Marvel in the 80's, but modern collectors failed to understand the appeal and in my opinion they did a big mistake ignoring this great line. There should even be a fantasticar vehicle on PULSE that includes the repainted 4 fantastic members in their blue and black classic outfit before Byrne took over. This would be a dream and clearly in the realm of feasability for Hasbro since they already have the sculpts.
@@nicholaskrivda5321 exactly. The first wave alone was 5 good guys n one villain n the rest of line continued like that. They need to add juggernaut, Mysterio, rhyno, red skull, doc ock, shocker, apocalypse, avalanche, etc
As a spiritual successor to this line, would love for Hasbro to recreate the 5” Toy Biz X-Men / Spiderman / Iron Man / Fantastic Four lines from the 90’s with articulation similar to what Playmates has done with retro 80’s TMNT toys. Great video!
I have only Amazing Spidey and Moon Knight from Wave 7 because my father saw them at the airport in Bulgaria. I'm not a serious collector but I'd buy any of them if I see them somewhere. I think this 3.75 inch series is great! btw, I've been watching your videos for around a year (starting with Spider-Man TAS, I think), so I'm gonna finally subscribe :D Keep up the good work!

These are so much better in the package. I don’t understand what the point of opening them are. Same with reaction line. Hope they bring ‘em back dammit
Waist cut for these would've been more useful than the wrist cuts. Agree with you on the play factor of Accessories and vehicles and playsets to be extremely necessary for a line like this.
If the Marvel 3.75 line came back who do we need? Gambit, Colossus (Thor buck), Rogue, Hobgoblin, Doc Oc, maybe even a Galactus-a simple one much like the Sentinel but about 2 inches bigger, Kingpin, Juggernaut, Kang, Mystique, Blob, Toad, Thanos, Beta Ray Bill, Hawkeye with simple sky cycle, Scarlet Witch, Iron Fist, She Hulk and a Giant Man using the Sentinel Buck, Wasp, Vulture using the Falcon wings. They could do so many more.
Yo if people continue to make Marvel 3.75 inch Kenner Retro figures. People should make action figures of the Marvel Heroes from the Avengers team in 3.75 inch Kenner Retro figure style in comic accurate version costumes Beta Ray Bill Black Cat Black Night Blue Marvel Cloak Dagger Gladiator Gwen Stacy Spider Woman Hawkeye Hercules Iron Fist Jessica Jones Man Thing Miles Morales Spiderman Mockingbird Namor Nick Fury Black Punisher Quasar Quicksilver Red Hulk Red She Hulk Scarlet Witch Sentry She Hulk Skaar War Machine Wasp White Tiger Ava Ayala Winter Soldier Wonder Man
I lived for this line and died when they canceled it. I was soooo hoping for playsets and every character from Secret Wars! I was 14 in 84 and SW was my read!!
I'm right there with you! I turned 11 in '84, and I absolutely loved Secret Wars. In fact, I'm reading each issue monthly, starting this month, like I did in '84, to commemorate its 40th anniversary. These retro line of figures are absolutely amazing! I have most of them, and I really hope that they make a comeback. However, I'm not holding my breath.
@petebutler5139 Sounds like a plan, Sir! 2 was definitely a disappointment, but I still have some nostalgia for it, too. Hard to believe that Secret Wars made its debut 40 years ago this month. Time really does fly by.
How do these guys look alongside the McFarlane Super Powers figures? I kind of want to pick a few up (Mainly the Fantastic Four) to compliment them but I'm afraid the slight size difference will be noticeable.
I think the 5 inches Toy Biz like line would sell a million times better than this one, even from a generational point of view, i don't think many 70s/80s kids are buying the 3,75 inches line very much, and the kids from the early 90s are still waiting for a re edition/follow up to the classic Toy Biz line with that classic Jim Lee style. I don't complaint about the 3,75 figures' joints, but the size is totally useless, like Happy Meal's figures, and i don't even recommend trash food, so... this is only good for Star Wars figures only, bring back the 5 inch Toy Biz like line!!!. The TMNT still launches re editions so why Xmen/Marvel heroes wouldn't. See ya.
