Despite uploading this a few days ago, this was filmed in 2022. So, brands like glossier play, marc jacobs or becca would have just disappeared the previous year. Nonetheless, I firmly believe that the longevity of makeup depends on how you practice good makeup hygiene. I don’t subscribe to a hard expiration date, instead I look at appearance, smell, texture, application, etc. I haven’t had any issues BUT if that changes, I would be happy to eat my words.
My makeup purchasing has decreased significantly, however, I actually find myself wearing it more. If CT brought out another one of her Instant Look In A Palettes, I would definitely buy it. I had one years ago and it was perfect. It was so easy to use.
Definitely find myself enjoying makeup more with fewer products. And it’s satisfying to actually use products up. 100% agree re: instant look palettes! I’ve always enjoyed that and would love a different colour palette.
I have started to buy cruelty-free when I can. It’s not reflective in this video as this is a collection of makeup purchased over many years , but most of the products I purchased in 2023 were cruelty free. But with that said, I am a hypocrite because while I support cruelty-free, I do still eat meat and wear/buy leather products. Small steps, I suppose.
“I really don’t mean to be pushy I just think…” your comment quite literally is being pushy. you’re pushing your own personal opinions onto someone else and making them feel bad for owning non-cruelty free products, even though their collection has been grown over a long period of time.
