Had a Sur Ron light bee X (e moto) for a couple of years. Fun stealthy and can out climb all motorcycles. A go anywhere e moto in the mountains. Put some upgraded vented brake pads and a new larger rear sprocket and now its a mountain goat and will go down very steep trails without frying the brakes.

Yep. These things have all the torque from the get go so climbing is spectacularly easy.

This is a great review and nicely sums up what the suron is and is not. In terms of suron versus a gas motorcycle, this is the case where one can have both, if they have the funds. Suron is in a class of its own.

I have been saying this for so long, dirt bikes are the perfect application for electric bikes. When I ride through the fields I don't want to worry about hydro-locking my bike in water, dropping harmful chemicals in nature like gasoline and oil, or disturb nature with the noise of a high strung 2-stroke. Electric solves all of this, and offers instant torque and maintenance free ownership. You also don't have to worry about air resistance ruining your range as much as an electric bike on the road because you just don't hit high speeds off road. At this point I'm just waiting for one of the big Japanese makers to produce a true electric dirt bike.

I love this bike! Although I love riding my Husqvarna te250 but even as quiet as it is, I am still embarrassed by the sound and the blue smoke. Electric is the way to go on single track. Thanks for another great video. Dave

@@DifferentSpokesTV I was actually going to ask about that. Since there's no fluids to leak, I'm guessing you could lay it sideways to fit. This opens up dirt biking to a lot of people! I live in an apartment, and storage + maintenance of a dual sport is quite the challenge. Storing an E dirt bike in my own home would solve a lot of problems. Thanks for covering this type of content. You two got me into riding last year when I stumbled upon Brooke's m2 training video, and I'm loving the videos you two release. You have a unique and fresh perspective that I appreciate.

Can't wait to grab one but the suspension is a concern as I ride for hours Does it hurt your back or hips or is it ok Also hows the regen on it, does it slow ya down when not on throttle way too much, can you shut it off? Have you rode in winter yet in Ontario and can say how droppage is or any weird error codes or performance from BMS in cold? Cheers?

its concept is cool, the lightness is useful to lift over logs, gates,fences etc. The latest premium version would be closer to a place where i would consider if my feet are to be planted on pegs tho.

I Own a Talaria sting my Gf Has the surron Light bee we Love them most fun toys we have ever owned.. she is also 120lbs so she gets crazy Range. im 215 but have a 58t sprocket climbs really well and helps a lil with Range but I drain mine much faster than she does I Might eventually get a bigger battery ebmx Has a 60v 65ah vs the stock 38ah also I Might put a 21" wheel up front but keep Tire skinny no more than 70/100 to save some weight..

@@positivelynegative9149in my experience riders who have ridden trails are generally better riders. 👍 Riders who ride TRIALS are the best riders though. Like they say "any fool can go fast". I only ride trails 😔🤷

I'm picking up what you're putting down but... 5k for a dirt bike? Fkn hang it up. Try 10k+ for a nice lightweight 2024. Better performance? Not for 5k kiddo. These things have the torque of a 450cc and the top end of a 250cc. Get away with riding a dirt bike on the sidewalk and roads? Fkn hang it up. Not to mention weight, gas, oil, insurance etc... do you have afkn truck to transport that bch? Cause you can throw one of these in the back of a hatch back. Now If we're talking any range then I'd take a 10k KTM all day but these ebikes are stealthy and great for breaking the law!

Thank you for repeatedly pointing out that this is a small electric off road motorcycles not an electric bicycle. Most people don't take the time to educate themselves on the different classes of electric bicycle and at what point it stops being a bicycle and becomes a scooter, moped or motorcycle.
