Grandad. You’ve had your ups and downs over the past 10 years with your trains, yet you still amaze me and lot of others with the creativity you show us. Never change and continue to do what you do best! Being Lord Allan 👑 ☺️ and doing what YOU want 😉
Enjoyed the 2023 year in review. New bridges, new TMDs, relaying track. Sounds like a real railway. As someone who is also in his 70s I find I need more time off to rest and think about future plans. In my case it is my English cottage gardens. Hope you will spend part of that time on holiday. Bill from California
Greetings Lord Al. You provide inspiration to our hobby with your uplifting commentary, layout and useful tips. Keep up the good work but don’t put too much pressure on yourself.
Greetings Lord Al! Just a quick note to let you know that your videos are appreciated. This one was particularly good... some really nice railfanning shots. Overall your productions are entertaining and informative... and that's pretty much what one looks for in a RU-vidr! Thanks for your great work.
Hi Allan. Take a break if you feel you need one but please continue to show us your layout. It's people like yourself and Stuart with his St Mary's layout that bring so much pleasure to those of us that don't have the space for a lovely big layout.
Hello, m'Lord! It is amazing the work and effort you put in, but it shows. It is a beautiful layout and gets an amazing collection of trains to run on it. It is stunning to see how much it has changed in the 18+ months since I was blessed enough to see it first hand! Always changing, always impressive, and always bringing a smile to hundreds, if not thousands of people. In the end, it is your layout and your world, and you owe nothing to anyone but yourself. And all of us owe you a deep level of gratitude for sharing this and your journey with us all these years, through ups and downs for you, for us. If you need a break, take a break. If you need a change, change. If you need a good lawyer... well, you're on your own, but I will contribute to the bail money. However, just in case... I will say THANK YOU for everything you have done. You are an awesome man, Allan... my world is better for knowing you.
Thank you so much Anthony for watching and your wonderful comments. ill take a time out for a while. and get some ideas together. And if i ever go off on a rant i will need a lawyer..lol.. Have fun Anthony .i must ring you some time soon.
Hi Al wow mate those shot's of trains going across the bridge were fantastic ! I also liked the Hornby steps paint job, plus of course all the little other changes you made last year.Take care of yourself Al :)
Hey Lord Al. Your layout is an inspiration. Your achievements are inspiring and the ideas are great. Your style and time is very valuable and I have enjoyed your work and your humility and your great humour. Enjoy your time with your art and running a great layout. Your time is precious and your family are so proud. Lady Barbara needs attention and don’t forget to give her a big hug. Have fun with whatever you do. Enjoy life. ❤🎉
Hi My Lord and Barbara. Absolutely love you're happy presenting attitude, makes everyone smile and that's what we all need nowadays. All you're updating was brilliant, better and better each time. My favourites are all the engine sheds and all the things going on around them. Also you're new bridges and that beautiful back scene. Great vlog Allan. Keep us all smiling please.😀😁 Stay safe you guys. Pete.
Hi Al, great video update mate, take a break & do something else for abit to allow batteries to recharge so you can continue on, may be plan a bigger train shed, lol or another level, its all up to you but will be in the wings awaiting your next video, thanks again.
I`ll take a short rest and have a rethink. . As daft it may seem i have looked at a bigger shed but the cost now is to great at my age. Am sure I'll find a way to get the mojo back. Thank you so much for watching and your comments.
Thank you very much for the tour of Dragons Junction. Could Lady Barbera be of assistance in any way to help you decide about the next video? I am sure she is a kind-hearted person.
Hi Allan I see you and hear your tired voice, the work you have done is simply titanic. Seeing your beautiful trains turn is a sight for the eyes and music for the ears. Keep the pigeons on the scaffolding at bay...... Kind regards, Alberto 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙋🙋🙋🙋
The layout is looking fantastic! As most people are saying, put your feet up and enjoy playing trains. Enjoy what you have built without the pressure of making videos for a little while. But not too long 😂 always enjoy your updates 👍🏻
Hi Kev ..Yes we are both well and no issues. Thank you so much for stopping by and asking. Am just taking a bit of a time out at the moment. i have some computer trouble with the editing suite. and i have not been filming at all.. But i have a few things to show off when i get around to turning the camera on again. So worry ill be back as soon as am ready. You know what they say ..all work and no play. Plus the weather does not help being cold and damp...lol.. Regards Lord Al in the shed..😇😇😇
Hi Allan, always enjoy watching your videos, updates, or running sessions, I have met mark & his wife at rhuddlan models great knowledgeable people to talk too. Look forward to your next video which might be added scenery another engine shed as you mentioned no rush plenty of shows & exhibitions to go & see , what ever you do I take inspiration from what you do your layout as I'm about to start building my layout in my spare bedroom, thanks mark.
Thank you so much Mark and for watching . ill take a time out for a while . i have a few ideas to work on . Very best of luck on your layout and try to keep it simple don`t over track it and have lots of fun doing it. And yes they are great guys at the shop.
Yes Colin all`s well here .Just had a few jealous comments lately just pissed me of for a short while. on an other note 212 points that`s just nuts.Hell Colin that`s a new mortgage...lol.. just hope you can find that many in the UK..lol.. Thanks for watching Colin.
@@dragon-junction-MK2 Allan there are some funny people about, but there are more good people out there who love what you do for the model railway community, and love you and your family and would help in any way. I can be there in a few hour if I can do anything for you now or in the future, just ask. Glad that you are ok. Colin
Thanks for watching .. The video camera is an Panasonic cam corder . There`s loads of choice's to choose from .it`s what your willing to pay for . Panasonic HC-VX980EB-K 4K it`s a good one to start with . and the other camera i use is a drone camera Firefly Q6 for close running shots.Am sure there better ones but again it`s a good starting point. Charlie Bishop uses one of these as well. Hope this helps you out.Ken.
Hi Allen. Thanks for your time spent in showing your past updates and all your locos running. It was very interesting and shows lots of good ideas to use on my layout. I see you have a GWR 800/5 on the top part of your layout. Have you had any derailing problems with the set? Best regards, have a restful break
Thank you Kenneth for watching .. As for the 800 no issues with it at all in fact she runs great ..Just check that your tacks are flat and on the curves . they don`t like bumps in the track. and the couplings are free to move . it only needs one to be a bit sticky. well worth a check.
Hi Al i was thinking about what you said about the next video,i can see why sometimes it could be a bit of a pain to keep making videos, and to think what the content should be.Then it came to me,maybe if you wanted to of course, make the films shorter and just with a few trains running.I follow St Marys and Stuart, and he had a break from it for a little while too.But whatever you do,do it for you first and enjoy yourself:)
Yes good idea Mick. 10 minutes would be enough. with some close up running shots. That should keep the punters happy. and throw in a live stream now and then. may be once a month. Top Man Mick.
Hi Allan, A very nice tour and seeing all the upgrades you did my you have been busy so well done and I am sure a video will pop in to the brain so will await the next one but after all it is a hobby so we can take a break if we want. Cheers Robert.
Thank you Robert ..Yes ill take a time out and work on a block buster movie. i bought a new Camera to do the block buster filming but it was crap so i sent it back ..lol so it may take a bit longer ..lol
Hi lord Al sir, great update on last year's updates mate its always nice to look back at your progress. Thanks very much for yhe big shout out much appreciated 👌 I'm sure you'll come up with something to video, you normally do. All the best mate and I'll catch up with you sometime cheers Andy
Always look forward to your updates. What's with the Brains beer truck coming out of the GBRF depot? Piss up for the crew haha. Love it from me Shannon and Josh your little fans and even the wife loves watching especially the flashers 😂
Hi Al, having trouble commenting on your latest video about your new coaches. They look terrific . I was saddened to hear that you have been hacked and attacked just because you have model railways. It really is atrocious and disheartening that you have been subjected to this ike practice. Stay strong and keep producing, you will soon get your mojo back. On another note, do you have a de-humidifier/humidifier combo? It would really help your humidity situation. Keep rolling. Kind Regards
Hi Allan, good update there mate, sounds like you have a bit of model railway burn out! Looking forward to what you have in store for next year and I for one want and demand to know what’s happened to that pigeon 😂. Cheers for now mate, John
Thank you so much John for watching ..Yes you may be right there on model railway burn out. As you know a hell of a lot goes on behind the scenes trying to build a layout. So ill take a time out and get some ideas together .And chill out for a while. As for the Pigeon John i was sold a dud one the guy said it was a homing pigeon ..Yer ..it took of home again where ever that is . Or the local cat ate it...lol.. Have fun John ..
The 9F ought to be in the shed yard with the other steam engines you have. Where's the GWR County Class engine? I hope to see her running sometime. The running session? Not quite my cup of tea, but didn't mind seeing Mr. West Coast Railways 47 on a Pullman Railtour train. I have got a pair of Intercity Mk. 1 coaches, from the one main line era that's now long gone. I'm going to recreate an old main line scene from the early 1990s, which should never have been lost. Complete with one NRM owned GWR 4-4-0 tender engine, that is.
Thank you Kelly for watching.. Am going to take a time out for a while and come back with a block buster of a movie ..( if i can ) Ill do my best for you Kelly.
Hope you don’t mind me asking, but haven’t seen any videos from Barry David, and I’m unable to fine any older videos. I hope everything is OK. Would you know anything. Hope you don’t mind me asking. Kind regards, Ian
Hi Jake.. ok then . The Black 5 is10" long The Flying Scotsman with twin tenders is 15.1/2 " long . And the BIGBOY is 18.1/2 " long. hope that`s helps you out.. have fun Jake.
