I agree that the high beams function reasonably well but it appears that most of your test drive involved more of a rural setting with less oncoming traffic. I can tell you that attempting to drive at 55mph while having to rely on the low beams in the 2024 model I just bought is extremely unnerving. The dealership says this is a feature that only the Corolla and one other model utilizes. It’s interesting that you commented about the vehicle being “that low to the ground” which begs the question: why not do this instead with the freakin Tacoma or any other vehicles with a higher ground clearance?? Makes no sense. I totally regret buying that car
I have 2023 se Corolla. The low beams are horrific. I drove corollas for 10 years. I won’t take mine on highway at night. (That’s how bad they are). Maybe at factory, they’re set to low. Not sure. I’m going to change vehicles. A sad engineer flaw from Toyota.
Just bought a 2024 model with the same issue. Service department says “that’s just how they are”. I don’t feel safe driving at night either. Had I been told ahead of time I don’t think I would’ve bought the thing
I have the 2023 Corolla XSE, and night driving is a guessing game. I can see other peoples lights better than my own driving on the highway. Also i noticed the wind shield wipers are slower than other cars.
