Definitely a nice truck. Don't give a shit what people say I think this truck can definitely tow my horses. That's all I need a bigger truck for. This capstone is definitely on my list.
Fantastic job guys! I'm glad to see reviewers of my size to give better perspectives of the roominess. I finally bought my first Tundra, a Mesquite Brown 2023 4X2 hybrid Limited on New Year's Eve 2022 I just wanted to thank all the Toyota employees in Texas, California and Michigan who worked so hard to bring this truck to market. You did an amazing job! When I drove my brand new Tundra home on New Year's Eve I was preparing myself for an ass chewing by my wife (she's not a truck girl and does not like trucks at all) to my pleasant surprise she walked around the truck and said "what a beautiful truck" even my neighbors came over days later and asked about it and saying how beautiful it is. So far my Tundra has exceeded all my expectations. The ride and handling have been ultra smooth with no turbo lag and plenty plenty of power while averaging 21 mpg in normal mode. The cabin feels solid, roomy and quiet. Can't wait for our next road trip.
While I do miss the V8, this is much better than the previous Tundra by far. They had some issues very early on but they were all fixed under warranty and the new trucks coming off the line are good.
For a V6 to be in a truck this size, this thing dips! Great sound reading numbers as well. Mason, your only an inch taller than me and I'm impressed at how much room it is to spare in that back seat. I've had my Capstone since September...drove my F150 for 5 years and I will say this, while I loved my F150 the Capstone rides way better and has more of a luxury feel to it. I will be trading my Capstone in on a new Capstone in 3-5 years.
Ram owner that is looking to upgrade to a "23" Limited, but i crossed paths with this attractive machine and oh my garage. This maybe what i purchase, because it's different and not to common as the Ram Limited. Good review, hitting all the little features and showing the vehicle in full. 👍

Just spent 6 hours in a Capstone on a dealer trade drive. Nice truck but... And this is an important but. The seats are excruciatingly unpaded. A $75,000 truck, and the seats in the base level Venza we came down in were more comfortable.
I’m Toyota tundra fan and this capstone is my 4 Truck the best year luxury comfortably Better materials around I’m not need more v8 with this powerful engine +hybrid 💪 10 speed transmission
@@naveenthemachine some of us like dependable vehicles, the Silverado is ok. And the turbo issue on the Tundra has been resolved so don’t even start on that. I do happen to lean towards the Silverado just because it has the V8, but these are not horrible trucks. I won’t buy a brand new truck.
I still haven't been able to warm up to the overall design of the Tundra. The Capstone does address some of the ugliness associated with maw of the grille, I admit, but the design just doesn't have a good flow for me. I think the interior is functional, but this particular color scheme is going to be a disaster in a truck that will carry families for years. I also think Toyota could've added the 10spd trans to the 5.7 and added port-direct fuel injection and wouldn't have been too far off of the gas mileage nor the acceleration of this turbo-hybrid 6. I just don't suspect GMC Denali, Ram Limited, or Ford Limited buyers choosing this over those trucks. It breaks no new ground. Its all in the little things: The amount of plastics used in the interior(around the console, the speaker grilles(with rattles), small-for-a-pickup center console), small-for-a-pickup rear seat(cab actually measures smaller than the previous generation Tundra), lacking rear seat storage solutions, etc).
Totally agree with you. Toyota should have added a 10 speed transmission to the 5.7 , also they could have added more luxury features inside . I love tundra’s, i have a 2015 1794 and i wouldn’t trade it for the new tundras . Also not paying $76,000 for this truck , i would rather buy a sierra Denali ultimate for that price
They shook everything up with these trucks. Toyota waited all this time and this is all they could come up with. As a repeating Tundra buyer normally this time I’m out. I’ve found this new truck disgusting looking and not the quality Tundra that I’m used to. There has already been more recalls and issues than I’ve had with Toyota vehicles since 2005.😬
I currently own 5 new vehicles. 4 are Toyotas… and the 5th is a Ford truck. When it comes to trucks and doing truck stuff I still feel like Toyota doesn’t get it. This Capstone is not even close to a platinum trim from Ford.

Let’s see, adjustable pedals, massaging seats, 3 levels of lumbar, actual cooled seats (not the BS ventilated Toyota gives you), spotlights off the mirrors, insane tow technology including OEM setup for auxiliary tow camera mounted on your trailer, A real and usable bed step, an app that actually works and lets you remote start your truck without a subscription fee, on and on and on.
I love my 06 Tacoma, but there is no way I’m taking this over the GMC Denali Ultimate…even if the capstone is 6k less. Either way I’m still holding out for the Cybertruck
I get better gas mileage in my non hybrid 3.5 Ecoboost in my F150 Limited. What a joke. And yes, my ecoboost has been nothing but reliable before you Toyota fanboys try that line.
I waited for this truck to come out. I Was expecting so much more. Only thing I loved was the screen. I was then ready to pull the trigger on a f150 powerboost platinum. Ford told me due to the chip shortage a lot of features we not available on the truck. I ended up buying a car. If I need a truck I guess I’ll rent one
I have owned ford toyota and gmc. Every car started every time within 50,000 miles. Ford was the only one that repeatedly had stupid things not working It didn’t leave me stranded, but would randomly slam on my brakes for pre collision (ford told me it was normal and to turn it off if I didn’t like it) Parking sensors sucked, massage seats are a gimmick, a few of the ambient lights went out, windows wouldn’t roll up sometimes, trim prices fell off, black trim prices started to fade, went into limp mode when towing up big hills, overheated towing, my camera infotainment screen would get stuck in reverse when driving. Lane keeping assist was super jerky, the cooled seats froze my but off, I had to turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, horrible design. Automatic climate control sucked. Like I said never left me stranded but quality sucked. Gmc and toyota seems to work better for me. I have a 2500 at4 towing with it I have never even got close to overheating. Toyota has never got close to over heating either. I daily drive my tundra and tow with my gmc as the ride on the gmc sucks
Too bad after 15 years it still fails to compete w the big 3. It falls behind every single aspect yet Toyota thinks the loyalists will love it. Toyotas marketing has to be the worst in the entire auto industry

@@andybub45 the ram is better all around. Outside and inside. The interior is significantly better in the ram and the tech is better. Space is also far superior
@@naveenthemachine Chrysler build quality is abysmal. And there are many issues reported with the electronics and overall quality. Any issues with the tundra were promptly fixed with a service bulletin.
