Correct, but we had the misfortune of pumping gas into our 2022 Bronco Sport when it had around 4k miles on it. The delivery guy apparently offloaded diesel into the regular tank. Cost us over 2k to fix it… fuel pump, plugs, drop and drain fuel tank…. So we unknowingly did…

I don't know JB, why would you spend $63k for a truck you really can't safely tow a small light camper like that? Here's the problem, some people will buy this truck thinking about towing a camper much bigger and heavier because, let's face it most people don't do the homework on towing anything, and have no experience towing anything . . .scary!

You need to sit inside the 1794 or Capstone before saying Toyota don't have a Luxury Truck interior. I have the 2022 1794 with the Cream Interior and I would dare for anyone say it's not Luxury lol You suppose to activate the tow haul or tow haul plus before hooking up the trailer. The engine and transmission goes into a different mode

Not sure what fuel that Toyota asks for in the manual, the lowest we have here in WNY is 87. I bet a higher rating would give you better mpg. I think 85 is way to low for that bad boy

Minimum manufacturer recommended octane for Tundra is 87.

Ha! Real world Hannah FTW speaking the truth instead of the Internet fanboy’s constant bashing of the GM interiors!! I love it! Anyways nice video. Maybe this will open people’s eyes that constantly ask about 30’+ campers with 1500 trucks. And side note, you really need to put a little grease on that trailer ball! You are going to ruin that expensive hitch! And you might should check your hitch clearance too. B&W requires 11” minimum clearance from the bottom of the hitch to the ground. That looks like a 7” drop so you are going to be close with almost every 1500.

Everything I can find on Toyota’s website says the sr5 payload is 1820lbs and towing capacity is 11k and some change. Someone said that the door sticker was calculating with occupants, does anyone know if that’s true or not?? I’m trading in my Tacoma tomorrow for a sr5 tundra with xp package and would love to know. My door sticker on the Tacoma says 990 but the website says it should be 1200

Payload and towing capacity is determined by overall weight. The more options it has, equals more weight, therefore less payload and towing capacity.

My ecoboost gets way better mpg with 93 octane. Plus it adds around 22hp. If the tundra has variable timing, it would take advantage of higher octane.

Great video! I really don’t understand these trucks with 1,300ish lbs of payload but claim they tow 9,000 lbs, hopefully you’re a skinny dude with no friends or family. It’s just not useful or realistic. My Ridgeline has 1,400 lbs of payload ha.

Traded my 19 Tundra for a 23 Chevy crew cab I have to say the Chevy is much more comfortable and out pulls and feels much more stable then my tundra did and I bought 2.7 turbo it’s a little torque monster with double the gas mpg I had in the tundra for sure

Wow. All that power/torque, and still around 9 mpg or less :( My FJ Cruiser tows a nuCamp T@B 400 travel trailer and gets about 9-11 mpg as well; it's modified with larger wheels, tires, winch, and full off-road gear. It looks like the "Little Engine That Could," and I was thinking about upgrading to a full-sized Tundra, but this is giving me second thoughts.

awesome stuff man I'm thinking about jumping in on a 2023 tundra plat more then likely. I have a 2005 superduty and it makes mea bit nervous. But the 9000lb video was awesome for what this truck is compared to a superduty and diesel

I get 10-12 mpg pulling my 3k# 20’ Rpod 75-78 mph with a 2.7 ecoboost. 15-18 when I slow down, wind is a killer..

Your GMC is definitely not the highest package that would be the Denali and even higher than that is the Denali Ultimate.. I told you on your last video you was Toyota fanboying too much. The tundra is just an okay truck.

Payload is the downfall of just about every 1/2 ton truck [ with the exception of the Tinan XD] if you want to tow a decent sized trailer and take your gear with you.

That’s one thing people forget single axles while light overall carry more tongue weight. We went in to purchase a 17JG wolf pup because of weight. When we measured it it ended up having 570lbs of tongue weight. We then went and measure the trailer we wanted a 264bh 10ft longer dual axle trailer 490lbs. We bought the 264bh 😂

if you add to 60 pounds on the back of the bed plus the trailer with 190 gallons of water then you should really take it out for another comparison video I would recommend you doing that 60 videos per week

I was surprised by 3/4 ton diesel payloads as well. I saw a range of 1,800 to 2,395 lbs. when I was looking. It pushed me to a 1 ton diesel with 3,983 lbs. of payload.

My camper had really bad sway with my expedition but it’s solid as a rock behind my Titan XD. I was talking to some of my friends that pull trailers for a living and they all told me that it was the coil springs on the tear end of the expedition that caused it to sway so badly.
