Another fine hunt, Peter. Thank you for sharing it with us. A longtime follower of your videos, I did find myself wondering why you felt it necessary to add music. One of the things I've always appreciated about your films is their authenticity, right down to the sounds of the farm and forest-songbirds, pheasants, the rain, the wind, distant shotguns, even your own breathing. Those are the kind of sounds that I, myself, hearwhen I'm hunting deer, and I appreciate them. I even went back and re-watched two roebuck hunts from earlier Tales from the Willows episodes (three and four years ago) to see if I was correct about there being natural sounds, no music. Sure enough, there wasn't a guitar or piano note to be heard. Could I suggest that you reconsider the inclusion of music in your videos? I may be alone in my feelings about this, but I suspect that a significant number of other viewers may agree. That said, keep up the great work, Chris (Maine, USA)
@peterjuulsgaard
@peterjuulsgaard Год назад
I respect your oppinion, and I hear you. I my self think the Music fits the films. I actually like it my self. I could be wrong, but if I think back I actually Only made 2 or maybe 3 deerhunting videos without Music. And I have probably made 20 deerhunting videos in all. I am trying to capture all those things you mention, and I hope I do. In my own opinion the Music “in curtain” periods of the video add a cinematic effect. Thanks for sticking around

This morning when I woke up I realized that I had a long nice dream where me and my wife were meeting you and your wife. We were on a long walk together and later you and me were feeding some animals or preparing some dry grass for the dears... I don't remember the whole dream but it was very pleasant dream. LOVE IT!!!! Congrats and GREAT shot!!!! That buck was completely preoccupied with rubbing and scraping. Is this their mating season? I know you said you can't bait, but can you make a mock scrape with a licking branch? I hang a vine over my mock scrapes and deer of all ages visit and work them.
@peterjuulsgaard

We can make a scrape and plant a brance, but licking stuff is considered baiting. Like mineral stones etc. Thanks for watching brother

@@peterjuulsgaard wow! So using a lure or gland on the branch is baiting.. That is interesting. Not being gross, but I pee in the scrape to start them. Would that be illegal? I'm not being a wise guy, just wondering.

Thanks for watching. Well these are Roedeer the wide spread small deer of Europe. They start to setup the new antlers in January and they are starting to scrape them of in April. The rut is in the beginning of August, and they are starting to shed in November. Fun facts for you
