Finding your channel at the beginning of this build has been sort of a therapeutic experience for my nephew Jacob and I. He got his shirt and was straight up stoked! To see him smile was priceless to me so, thank you Mr. Doherty for giving it up to him and you Charles for making it happen. You are a great man! On the bike, Yamaha could use it for a pattern bike to start up production again! Lol. She is one of a kind and the winner is going to be one lucky MFR! Long live the 2-stroke big bores.....
Really stoked to hear that, especially because I know about what you guys have gone through. not on the level that you do, but glad to be part of the healing process, if at all. Scott, myself, and another very big company have something special in store for you and Jacob soon. It’s pending, I just need a few weeks to figure it out once this build cools off ! Thanks for watching Albert!
Its one thing to have a vision. Its another thing to bring it to life, and have it look this awesome! Once again you have outdone yourself. I love all the little YZ500 one of a kind touches. Someone is going to have a perma grin for life after winning this bike. Amazing job.
Saturdays are like Christmas morning!!! I can hardly wait to get downstairs to see what Ole Saint Charles has wrapped up for us!!! Man, watching this video and then climaxing with listening to the bark of that monster..what a wonderful way to start the weekend!!! Good luck, everybody!!!
Hahahaha that’s hilarious Todd. Except, I’m not sure we can put the word “Saint” in front of my name. So stoked you enjoyed the video. If you want to 🥜 twice, watch the video to the very end for even longer revs on the second play through! #Kleenex
Well done mate bloody awesome.... I would love this bike, beautiful workmanship all round truly outstanding. I'm in Australia so I'll have to build my own. Underrated channel. God bless you all
Nothing like the sound of a 2 stroke coming to life. I was fortunate enough to have a 1984 RZ350 when it was first released. Of course all the normal upgrades and that thing was a monster. The fastest I ever ran was a 12.01 quarter mile. Although not the fastest bike it was a force to be reckoned with. I kick myself for letting it go but life happens. Very cool video. I know it has to be a rocket when you twist it open.
That turned out awesome! The paint on the bike is better than any factory bike, and it's just so nice it would be hard to get it dirty. Awesome job, Charles
👏👍👌What a great rebuild👏, to put the last kit of plastics what you do? only change the reservoir and the frame? I have one yz 250 from 2010 and I'm thinking to make the change to yz 250x because I make more Enduro stuff. Greatings from 🇵🇹
Thank you, brother! I’m sorry, but I did not quite understand your question. You can send me an email using the “contact“ link on our website because I might miss your reply here thank you for watching, Claudio!
So freaking awesome ... one of my buddies built a BRC and I rode it yesterday. Simply amazing so much different than my 92 kx500 .. I hope you do a ride review on how you like it.
Oh, yes! Full dirtbike magazine test upcoming in a month or so. Thank you bro! Glad you got to try one, amazing that these are being built for the big bore enthusiasts.
That intro was so badass I have no choice but to buy another entry ticket!!! In 38 years of riding this is probably the sickest bike I’ve ever seen. Factory bikes are dope and may have more electronic BS on them but they don’t have anywhere near the sole this bike has. Well done brutha! 👏. 🤙😎
@@mxrevival as a kid I would get to catch a few outdoor events with dad. Back when Roger Decoster was the man. Those forty minute motos were brutal. Danny Magoo Chandler was always my favorite. He always crashed and the charged back to the front. Rode over his head all the time and never gave up.
Just hit up you website and I can’t enter because I’m in Australia, god damn it! Such an amazing bike! You and your team did a awesome job! It’s too good to ride
Haha! Sorry I don't need to laugh, the goddamn it part was just funny. Dude if you have relatives in the United States or Canada that can enter for you, might be able to pull it off! THANK YOU SO MUCH
Amazing as always Charles! You can’t go wrong with with a little Pantera! If I win this bike or not, at least we all got to see this badass bike come together. For a good cause too.
Perfect soundtrack! Dude you all did so great on this build hands down the best to date , if i win iam giving someone a bike , either a mint 2000cr250r or yz490. Maybe even give up the 1993cr500 bless someone . That thing sounds pissed off and looks amazing. Someone is goona be blessed beyond words
So well said, Josh! everybody involved slayed this Build. And of course, I expected nothing less from you, your generosity, and all the shares are greatly appreciated!
great job on the edit! don't you have carbon bits being made still? and we know that bar pad is too bone stock for this bike. so good though probably both parts of the exhaust are my favorite.
YOU ARE RIGHT! Carbon was supposed to be here, and special bar pad too. The missing carbon left me scrambling at the end and I’m bummed I didn’t come in time. We will see if it still comes. The special bar pad is done but I started it too late, it’s in the mail and on its way here now. Thank you Zach, the exhaust is so sick!
Whoever wins this bad a** machine is going to be the envy of the track for sure!!! Another excellent build Charles. Can't wait to see who the lucky person is going to be!!!!
Very nice work. I like the OEM style custom graphics to top it off. Question, I know you probably covered it one of the episodes, but did you coat the swingarm and linkage, or just vapor blast them?
Thanks, Brian! Had to go with an OEM feel on this one. Decals and some of the bikes, hard parts as well. like the black clamps and fork lugs. Those match the modern Yamaha four stroke lineup... I appreciate your question about the vapor, blasting and coatings on the linkage and swingarm- specially because if you can’t tell the difference, we did our job right. I wanted to strip and vapor blast the original swingarm, but it was a little to beat up. So we opted for powder coating. The color is called BMW Silver and was applied by Fast Blast & Coat in Boise. the idea was to pick a color that looked as close to vapor, blasting, and OEM Yamaha as possible. As for the linkage, I personally vapor blasted all of those pieces. They look so much alike, you can almost only tell in person that they are not .
@@mxrevival did you clear coat the linkage or anything I was wondering how to keep it looking mint like that. I do like the fork colors, they look like works or A-kit forks. Was the shock cerekoted or anodized?
Really appreciate that! BRC recommends using 50:1 for general use on their engines, and 32:1 for more strenuous situations, like snow biking for example 💪
@@mxrevival I'm really glad you decided to run the darker blue rims with the black hubs. Fits perfectly with the whole theme . I love your builds brother, you always go above and beyond. You never disappoint
Hey Charles, can you PLEASE sync this beast. I want to know what it’s putting out. I’m sure everyone that’s watched you build this will Want to know too. I’m especially interested as you’ve added a new carburettor
About 70HP with the HYGGE pipe, stock CDI, stock 38mm Keihin carb! Riley at BRC shared a few Dyno charts with me. Now, we have an even bigger 39mm Lectron Big Air carb on it so it's the only uncharted variable. Unfortunately I don't have access to a Dyno!
It’s just hanging out, right behind the camera. everything else becomes an important when I am running a giveaway bike build series. But we’ll jump back in eventually!
Thank you, dude! Man, I wish you could. Right now, the contests are only USA in Canadian residents. My best advice when I am asked by people out of country (such as yourself, I’m flattered) I simply say: everybody has a relative in the United States 💪
That bad boy is an Rtech R15 Quick Fill gas can. We import them from Italy 🙌 it’s pretty bad ass. They are made to fit into the bottom of the R15 bike stand that the bike is sitting on. You just flip the bike stand over and the gas can drops right in during transport. I might miss your next comment if you do reply, so you can always hit me up using the Contact link on our website as well
