When he walked out I immediately knew This was gonna be great But then he called the cops and just straight up pussy footing around while my favourite songs blasting in the fkn background FK 2 minutes in
I'm 67 now & retired . Enjoyed 44 years in construction in Sydney & I take great pride in driving past or going to completed projects that I was involved in & knowing that they were so well built & supervised & still llook as good as the day they were handed over 🙂 Watching this made me feel sick to my stomach 🤮 not all builders are like the clown
Im assuming to get your builders licence here one of the requirements is being an absolute scum piece of shit, willing to scam people out of insane sums of money. What a disastrous trade.
He's got the same attitude as many builders out there unfortunately - doesn't want to take responsibility and says and does everything he can to get out of being held responsible! What a POS!!!
At the end of the day the number #1 premise of this is money, and some will do whatever they can to get that extra buck by means of cutting cost at the expense of others. Which in other words is fraud, stealing, and dangerous by all standards. The fact that there's even minimum requirements at this point is a joke because who's enforcing them? Pretty much nobody unless it a genuine inspector which by all means is more rare now than ever.
That’s why the term construction is for drop kicks was phrased. Obviously there are tradesmen who take their line of work seriously, but majority of the people I’d assume just can’t do anything right.
@@slevinlindsay3624He certainly does, his christen and surname confirms it. How embarrassing. More importantly, how can someone as bad as that go unnoticed until now?
@@robchisholm2588 I'm assuming you mean at every "so called finished" section of the construction, before each progress payment is made. I doubt there would be enough hours in the day for that.
@@robchisholm2588 They would be paid by the builder, you would need someone independant. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of corruption in that industry. Still if it wasn't for this guy, there would be a lot more homeowners taken for a ride, regardless if it's after the fact.
You know everybody will find his match and some people doent call the authorities to fix his problems. He can be a pos for some time but at the end the shit will catch up to him. Everything has a reaction.
@@JoshuaMcgarvey-m9t he looks like he's been at this caper for some time. The entire industry needs a makeover, people paying fortunes for their biggest asset and being left with headaches, not a house. I hope this bastard gets deregistered and fined a million, yea, a dog alright.
People tend to get away with things more often than not where it concerns the NDIS. I recall a provider whos job was to organize supports the client needed, whenever a clients plan had funding left but the plan had ended, a bunch of additional supports would pop up to draw down the rest of the funding, basically making up supports that never happened, she was reported for doing this multiple times with plenty of evidence and she got away with it. Along with real estate, the NDIS would be one of the most fraud infested places.
It is absolutely CRIMINAL what this builder has done. The authorities need to award the owner compensation from the builders insurance or his personal wealth. Then they need to bar him from the industry in every capacity.
All properties that this builder owns should be confiscated and sold to pay compensation to the affected clients. Bloody snake.. How can he sleep at night..
@@MrDeano-eu9rg they do at law from a business structure perspective but yeah in reality, you can't get blood out of a stone. Bankruptcy is their usual next step.
Spot on, the government is purely money driven, they don't give a shit about what the industry is doing. Even the building insurance is tailed by the government to not protect anyone but charge every party involved a premium and force every into a civil dispute costing even more money and get nowhere and yet the insurance has got there money and the VBA not held accountable 😮@masteryoda498
@@AndrewLueckelmao the corruption runs to the top. Nothing to do w the government, lmao gov makes the corrupt laws & this builder is just playing the corrupt govs game. By products of a corrupt state.
The government is corrupt also that's why people keep getting away from it, not to mention the ridiculous money laundering scheme inside the real estate industry. Australia is fast becoming the scam capital of the first world.
They did, especially during lock downs, all for our protection🤣🤣🤣ps, they people, voted in the government, and probably would still elect Andrews if he was running
@@freechagosislandjohnpilger as an australian that doesnt live in Australia anymore i could not believe it too... they critisize Dan andrews and call him commie dan for the lockdowns then vote him in again ? Aussie people are hard to understand they ask gov for free money during Covid then complain about inflation later and over priced houses so strange
Government is the problem. They make sure no new tradies enter Australia while flooding the country with uber delivery drivers and fake IT specialists.
All the builders assets should be seized and the family reimbursed. I hope the family really supports mum through this terrible experience she really needs support now.
There are two reasons why this builder is still in business ..1 - he hasn’t been reported enough to the building association…2 - the system allow him to change his business name and continue in the industry ….
Usually it's the latter. It's oh so easy to just change your business name and continue when you get complaints, or if you just want to abandon your projects and start over fresh after scamming a few unfortunate souls.
It's the latter. It's so easy to wind up a business then spin up a new one if there are no active court cases or tax issues. New legal entity no liability. Just like those Joint Venture high rise builds. The company that builds it is dissolved a soon as the project is signed off. There is no legal entity to hold responsible for the defects any more.
@@SunheadDarkspear Oh you're an expert? So what about his building licence? How does he start a new company when his building licence has been cancelled? Does he get a new identity and then do his 4 year trade apprenticeship then sit the 2 year low rise builders course? This is residential building, this man is probably built houses for years that were all up to spec and had many happy customers and somewhere along the way something went wrong and things started slipping and this is the end result. Its like you people think these guys set out to build shit homes lol. All that being said, he should be a man and put his hands up, hand it over to liquidators and be humbled.
feel sorry for the homeowners. THE LAWS protect the CRIMINALS, not the civilians. I love Zehers work, the best inspector out there. This' clown builder' should be jailed for fraud and return the womans money back. BUILDERS SHOULD NOT BE PAID TILL ALL IS COMPLETE and inspected and passed by a REAL inspector. ANy rectification costs should be taken out of the last stage of payment from homeowner, out of the builders own pocket, to teach them an expensive lesson TO DO THINGS BLOODY COMPLIANT the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!! THe laws of this country absolutely STINK. criminals have more rights than hardworking ppl.
That guy isn't a cowboy, he's a criminal and should go to jail. I watched a video of a building site review in Norway. The banks there inspect the stages of the builds that they make loans on. What a novel idea.
IMPORTANT: There appears to be two builders on the VBA register with the same name. If you were to report him, I make no comment for or against this action, make sure you have the correct person. His website (while it exists) has his domestic and commercial building licenses which can be cross referenced against his name on the VBA's practitioner check to ensure that the wrong person is not identified. The gentleman in question is a sole trader (with a business name and trading names) and has had his domestic builders license since August 2015 and his commercial builders license since November 2020 (I wonder how much NDIS work he is doing). Curiously, it is difficult to find any ratings of his work after trading for at least 9 years and he has scrubbed his LinkedIn page.
They rob people off their money and pretend to be broke. Then they open up another building business under another person's name and the same story repeats itself.
@@Mr_Sh1tcoin 100%agreed man. Imagine some poor family dump their life savings into a property like this and get stitched up. It's as unaustralian as it gets.
@@slevinlindsay3624 Naa he's too dodgy to build a house properly he's hardly going to check his spelling in a letter that should've been sent by a lawyer, just a failed attempt at intimidation.
google the first sentence shown on the website "Here at Home Building and Constructions we pride ourselves on our ability to innovate." its the top search result.
Because sometimes the quasi legal argle bargle works. He obviously bullshitted the homeowner extensively and out of stage completion payments. Conmen, fraudsters and scammers are everywhere and they always use threats of legal repercussions or of calling the police to get victims to comply. This idiot actually called the police and fortunately for Zahir, they made a better decision than last time a builder called the cops. Owner trumps Builder for access.
Been in the construction industry for 15 years. This is the worst I've ever seen. Feeling extremely sorry for the home owner / family. Should be start a GoFundMe for them?
I agree, start a GoFundMe to help them with the tear down and new build. Going to be a long battle through the courts though to get this issue sorted out. This builder has a website and FB page presumably attracting more victims.
@@zucan100 Should be an open and shut case, the whole house is done so badly and he's taken payment for things that clearly weren't even close to being completed, he would have a really hard time explaining this in a way that's in his favour. The VBA should also be doing its actual job but its becoming common with government acronyms nowadays.
When I was insulating in the late nineties I seen houses bigger than this go up in eight weeks from I block that was unlevel 18mnths I bet he has done the whole house with some kid he throws fifty a day to help
Way back in the 90's, when i was doing my trade in the family business. We specialized in the refraction work after builders had gone bust or could not fix the defects. It hasn't changed one bit the same old story. The homeowners are left completely utterly destroyed and nowhere to turn for help. Good work Site Inspections for going back for free and bring this story to the public. I hope this story comes to a good end for these ladies.
Legislation should permit and fully support our much loved Building Inspectors to: Safely access ANY sites at ANY time, without permission or obstruction!
Here Here! Owners should also be afforded the same access. We are currently building, and while the builder/trades have been near exceptional, I still walk through near daily,
Half Aus is corrupt & greedy &dgaf about anyone but themselves. There’s good builders & there’s bad. But then there’s just bad politicians. All corrupt muppets.
It was once done properly, the first time, with regular independent inspections. Then "trickle down" Reagun & Thatcher economics arrived 40 odd years ago, and now all you hear of is the "market gods" will fix this and that, as long as we cut "red tape," reduce taxes, and forget about health and safety of everyone. This is the end result, crap work and unaffordable housing for ALL.
The pyramids are built with a stunning 1mm tolerance for all gaps and angles, modern compliant houses get 5 - 10mm error tolerance and they exceed it regularly.
That poor woman trying to help her mum and that clown of a builder (And now i feel like i am insulting clowns) has the audacity to act like he did nothing wrong, and the legal email was hilarious.
How many other people has this builder scammed I wonder. Why is this builder still building houses? And why does it take a program like this to expose the scam that this builder and their dodgy inspector are conducting... Where is the VBA, and the Victorian politicians? They must all be in bed with each other! Keep up the brilliant work and expose this industry for what is has become.
“They must all be in bed with each other!” Mate that’s exactly what’s going on, the corruption goes straight to the top. Corrupt builders are exploiting where they can in the economy. The ppl at the top who make the rules are also corrupt. The lobbyists from all industries from mining, to gambling & alc are all corrupt. These are by products of the elite class society. Homes are overpriced, a deterrent for new buyers, half the builders are corrupt, another deterrent. Deterrents for home buyers causes them to become renters. The elite love them some renters. Especially those good working class who could actually afford a home. The elite would rather the working class rent off them than the poor. So they need working class to stop buying & keep renting. Good tenants. Don’t want those drty poor ppl putting holes in your wall. When the elite want a home built they will pay the extra money to go to a reputable builder so they won’t get shafted by the dodgy builders that the working class will unfortunately be dealing with. This is all by design on a deep state level.
Absolute scum. An ex- distant in-law who was a large property developer lamented that when they went bankrupt and only had to pay cents in the dollar to creditors that they didn't run up a much much higher bill. How do people like these go home at night and be OK with what they have done?
Exactly, internal frame timbers exposed to the elements for what will likely be 2 years; unless they pay premium for urgent renovation, has already begun to lose structural integrity, it doesn't stop rotting once it's sealed and dry, it just slows down.
Builders should refund all the money lose his license never build again. The Australian government should be tough and protect the clients from dodgy builders. This madness has to stop and protect the consumers. Should be new laws where each stage should be inspected before any money be handed over. And if builders don’t meet compliance then builders should lose there license and be sued including dodgy surveyors who sign off on dodgy work
The government is well aware of the corrupt game they have created. Maximise profits, lobbyist give politicians payments & the cycle continues. If builders didn’t cut corners, less profits means lobbyists can’t give gov pals as much under the table money as they could have. Greed runs it all.
See this is why I never built. Only time I ever spoke to a builder, they said they didnt want to take me on because I gave em the old "i dont care about the law if shit goes wrong chat" 😂 Realised they all scum.
That cop was awesome. 10/10. When you started talking to her offsider and he recognized you, I was yelling at the cop "SAY IT!! SAY IT!! SAY NON COMPLIANT!!!!!!"
Thank you for your services. It's extremely unfortunate for the owner ,or though things didn't work out, I want to ignolage what an amazing woman to love and care for her mother so much she invested her money into a new home so her mother could live in comfort. Absolutely admire and respect her .your incredible thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge ,much appreciated
i feel for the owner, what a heart break for her. 18 months to get to that stage, what a joke thats a 6 month build at a push to that stage. that kitchen is brand new and its treated like crap, what a disgrace
That's the thing though, the inspectors are paid by the builders so they just sign off everything when they shouldn't so the certifications don't really mean anything. The inspectors used to be government employees.
1 million house to be built what a joke. That means two million defects.... Carpenters can't even work out basic geometry angles. Houses are built so shabby. 3rd world workmenship.
