Destination: Lakeside Park and McGalliard FallsPark Valdese, NC
On Friday April 26, 2024 we are off on another adventure. Recently these two parks have been connected via a swinging bridge, so we just had to do this trail. The park offers hiking trails and mountain bike trails, with canoe access to the lake also. We took the Greenway path today, which connects both parks. The trail is relatively flat with some slight ups and downs, nothing strenuous. The trail is 2 miles long, making it a 4 mile hike out and back. The paths are wide and have a gravel base. There are also other trails in the park that can offer more of a challenge, should you choose that route. There is a beautiful waterfall at McGalliard Falls park.
