Something I don’t really like about the polls are people just copy and past last season standings. Chicago will make a run even though they are in the strongest division in the league. I voted 5th or 6th and I think this will be the last bad year for hawks fans

Team is on the right track. The additions will make them better. But they're not there yet. Last in the Central with 69-74 points.

They won’t be good, but they’ll be watchable

Man, it's so weird seeing Red Wings great Patrick Kane on a Chicago list.

Blackhawks will make playoffs 8th seed ...bedard will get 109 points.....teiravienen will get 89 points.

Full disclosure, I am a Blackhawks fan. Kyle Davidson has said they must be better this year, he backed that up with his moves, he wants competition for jobs, and he wants insurance against injury, he admitted he left the team without enough depth last year. I think they will be better, maybe by as much as 25-30 points. That sounds high, here is my reasoning: Taylor Halll and A.A. missed most of the season. If they are healthy, that is worth 5 wins, or 10 points. Adding Bertuzzi and Tuevo is worth another 5 wins, and another 10 points, and Broissot over a TERRIBLE Soderblom plus allowing Mrazak to play a little less, and Mrazak is better with 2 or more days off, should be another ~5 wins or 10 points. So, not enough for the playoffs, but 77-82 points is a team that will be harder to play against this year.

I watch every Hawks game and was tough last season, but should be much more fun next season with more vets and watching the young Hawks grow & develop!! Predict the Hawks will battle for a wild card spot😉 (dreamer!) and Bedard gets 45 goals/90 points! Go Hawks!!

Really rooting for Mikheyev. Having watched him in Toronto, he's a hardworking player with a lot of skill, but it felt like his hands could never catch up. Fingers crossed he puts it together on the Hawks.

I hope they finish near the bottom again for another top prospect

I'm genuinely curious why you've consistently been so high on Crevier in your videos. As a Hawks fan that (painfully) watched every game last season, Crevier looked lost a lot of the time. Yes he's super tall, but he had a lot of trouble keeping up with the pace of the NHL. He's a fringe NHLer right now, and there are a lot of defensemen in Rockford that are more likely to make the jump to the NHL before Crevier does this year.

Looking forward to this season. I expect the Hawks to be in the 75/80 point range. Bertuzzi and Teuvo should add minimum 40 more goals. Bedard will be better. The wild cards are guys that are due to have bounce back years, like Reichel, Mikheyev, Hall, Athanasius, Murphy, Brodie. Hopefully a few of them can. The Hawks have more depth this year in case of injury, so they won't be picking up Rem Pitlick and Jason Megna off the scrap heap. Their will be more prospects in the AHL to watch, too. And Brossoit as a back up is 1000% better than Soderblum.

Take On Me

Shannon - as a Hawks fan I think you're underselling how much better they are than last years team. They got less than 20 combined games from Hall and AA, and any start for the back-up goaltender Soderbloom was a guaranteed loss. They're still going to be a bad team, but I think they'll pick up 20 or so points compared to last year's pitiful 52.

Team chemistry, more stable defense and some above-par goaltending makes them much more competitive this year.. they should be happy to see any kind of improvement.. I believe it’ll be a confidence-building year.. build some momentum towards achieving something in this league..

Gotta have a good start and you never know. I'm hopeful they'll make the playoffs.

Foligno will play bottom six and Korchinski should be in Rockford. Davidson went against his own word last year and rushed Korchinski to the NHL. He should have remained in the WHL. He was completely overwhelmed. Hopefully it doesn’t harm his development.

I think this year they’re gonna be really decent but not playoff contention however I think after this year they prob could make some moves to be a playoff contender possibly next year

He was pretty much a non-factor last year but what about Taylor Hall's return???

Frank Nazar will get some games and have a solid shot to make the roster IMHO

Thank you for these wonderful and informative videos! I have a question for either you or the community here. I do a yearly bet with a buddy of mine. It's 4 bets, actually. We both pick a team in the east and west. Add their point totals up at the end of the year and whoever has the highest total points wins. That's one bet, the "Winners" bet. Same exact thing, except you want to pick a bad team from each conference and the lowest point total wins. The "Losers" bet. For the 3rd bet, you again pick a west and east team, but you are picking based on them improving their point total from last year's standings. So whoever has the biggest improvement total points wins. "Biggest improvement bet". And lastly, you again pick a west and east team and you get biggest decrease from last year wins. Can anyone help me with these 8 teams that I should choose?! It's OK to use the same team twice for separate bets!!

Chicago's offense really needed Demidov. I'm disappointed that we don't get to see Demidov and Bedard playing together.

The Blackhawks are my favorite team to watch against the Kings.

Taylor hall will play top six until his injured again. Folingno will be wearing the c. Crevier will be called up third... Rockford will win it all in the ahl.

If Bedard doesn't get injured this season they should finish ahead of Anaheim in the conference standings, depending on how the race to the bottom goes after the trade deadline. I'm not sure if they can go higher than that in the division or the conference without someone else imploding or bringing in more talent.

Apart from the obvious ‘we need veterans around CB’ I am a bit surprised how many oldies that have been added. I am a Pred, but you gotta wonder how Hawks would have looked with at least DeBrincat and maybe even Panarin. Would this rebuild be sped up? I sense a bit of desperation from their GM here, he clearly want to avoid the Buffalo syndrome. Some veterans are ok but this many? Hawks got a pretty decent pipeline, all is not lost, and hopefully some of their younger guys can take a step. Söderblom choked, cant see him at nhl level, low-hanging fruit for the goalie tandem to get better. A bit disappointing with all these oldtimers, I’d like to see their youngsters develop further another season. I get it, pointwise it has been too bad for too long, this horrible story with Beach etc etc. Their owners want more ppl into the arena again.
