OSU goes undefeated or 1 loss to Oregon, either way they rematch in the conference title game with OSU winning. I will say beating a team like Penn St 9 consecutive years and will be at Happy Valley is tough but OSU does it. Oregon goes undefeated or 1 loss to OSU or an upset somewhere else(that’s much less likely) or they could lose 2 games which is even more less likely. Penn St, Michigan, and USC battle it out for 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Michigan loses to Oregon and OSU, and maybe USC. Penn St loses to OSU, maybe USC and/or Wisconsin. Penn St loses 1 game to OSU or lose as many as 2-3. USC could lose 2 games to Michigan and Penn St, lose just 1 of those games or as many as 3 in the conference. Wisconsin or Iowa finishes 6th and the rest are up in the air. I can only predict the top 7
@b.d.ericksonii203 I hear ya. Just going to be really hard to gaugue just how good this team is until maybe at Rutgers, but if they are 6 abd 0 they will be favored in that game.
I can’t see Minnesota with no QB beating USC. USCs defensive line has gained 340 pounds in total and USC has 2 of CFBs Top 40 Asst Coaches on Defense who were Broyles Award finalist. Lincoln had his worst season ever out of multiple 11 wins seasons, conference titles and playoff appearances and we treating him like he’s Ghene Chizik or Ed Orgeron. I never thought USC would ever be underrated until now
@@Potus_313 they own wisconsin and they’re gonna be favored over USC. they’re more likely to lose to West Virginia than either of those teams. and they have a chance against us though we own them so idk
Kind of homered out with Michigan. I think on paper OSU is stacked and Oregon I just have to see it. Being a Husker fan I know it's tough switching conferences and winning at the highest level against new opponents and colder climates.
The cheaters, are not in any way above my Nittany Lions, Sam you need to lay down, and if you still think this delusional way, my advice is go to the ER, and say you have hit your damn head!!!! WE ARE
Maybe I am drinking the Kool-Aid, but people (many Michigan fans) said the same thing about Ohio State when they had a new head coach and they got better. Michigan of course will not even be close to 2019 Ohio State because they lose a ton of players, but if you believe that Jim Harbaugh built anything close to a machine at Michigan (and the evidence says he did) than Michigan will simply regress compared to last season, not collapse and be out of the CFP picture before the OSU game. I will admit that I am higher on Michigan than probably everyone except some other Michigan fans though.
They got an easy draw (Iowa, which anyone I put in the CFP save for Liberty would beat. Miami, another very beatable team. Ohio State, who Michigan matches up decently to good against. And finally Georgia, who would probably crush Michigan due to matchups) and that defense is viewed by many including myself as one of the best in the country. Where I distance from others is my belief that the OL will be good. Michigan making the CFP run I am predicting them to make (for now) won't be half as impressive as the one they made last year. My prediction for Michigan could change for the worse when I release my next prediction video.
The cheaters!.....the cheaters!......the cheaters! Boo! Hoo! First of all.....some of ya'll need to learn to spell. Secondly....there's not a team in this country that doesn't cheat in some form or fashion. Thirdly, it's really disappointing to see just how many BIG TEN fans there are showing their underpants. Pacifiers will be on sale at the Wolverine shop for anyone who needs one......which apparently is a lot.
Thank you! Yes indeed I do, and there is plenty more homework to do 😅, especially with fall camp coming quickly. Some of our predictions can be easily extinguished by fall camp.
I mean, he does do his homework for a lot of things, but he allows his phantom for Michigan to cloud his judgment, which takes away from all the work he does because he comes off as a homer
His analysis of teams that aren’t Michigan OSU or Nebraska (the big fanbases) is extremely lazy. Not sure he even read the basic beat writer stuff on these teams.
Rumors the cheaters will find out the NcAAs findings here next week or the week after. Also rumors are they don’t have a great way to punish most of the staff becuase the staff all left. Embarrassing. Need to vacate 3 years of wins to preserve the integrity of this sport
Die hard Oregon fan here - very solid video and analysis overall. My only disagreement is with your question marks on both sides of the ball. This was a defense that allowed 17 ppg to the most potent offensive league in the pac12 and they will be significantly better with more depth, especially in the secondary which is where lack of depth showed in the Washington games.. In regards to offense, I understand the question of if they’ll be able to go toe to toe against more formidable defenses but I think with their weapons, scheme and extremely balanced attack, they could grind out a 21-17 type of win if need be but also put up 50+.. as long as they don’t get behind in the chains I expect them to be one of the most efficient offenses this year
Yeah Michigan without a doubt will lose to Oregon Ohio state and Texas with a possible loss to usc. Saying Michigan has post season experience when they are replacing majority of their key players
Michigan is going to be good but not 14-2 good. They are going to take a step back. They lost so much including thier coach. I know they did good "without Harbaugh" in games but he still coached them until 1 second before the game. 9-3 is my prediction and missing the playoff.
I agree with Iowa’s record (given Tim Lester puts some life in the Offense), but I still see our Offensive Ceiling at like #75 nationally. Unless there is some craziness in the top of the SEC, I don’t see us getting the nod from the committee. Appreciate the love though 🤣
@@clayhulsebus6768 Iowa just can never get over that edge, Iowa can beat the bad teams but lose to the teams you have to beat to be good. He is very high on Nebraska which might not be accurate; however, it is accurate if you look at Matt Rhules history. It is a gamble.
Michigan will lose to Texas USC Oregon and Ohio State and I won’t be shocked if they lose to Washington at Washington or Illinois at Illinois. The are replacing the entire coaching staff and the QB along with the entire O- line. To think they are going to have another playoff run given all the new faces on the staff and on the field is nonsense. They will be watching the Buckeyes in the playoffs not beating them.
Kaliakmanus is replacing Gavin Wimsatt, the least accurate QB in the entire FBS. Plus, he'll be reunited with Rutgers OC Kirk Schirocca, the man who recruited him for Minn, and helped AK to his best season. Rutgers will be a ground and pound offense, so even a reasonably accurate QB will do well enough to win..
@@Tedisntakidanymore Minnesota always focuses on the run as well, but it’s tough to win when your qb is going 12/27 with 150 yards and an int. He was brutal to watch, but if anyone can help it’s Kirk. Could end up wrong and hopefully he gets better, but really happy to never see him throw a pass for Mn again
@collegefootballwithsam I'll still take the under. They always barely squeak by on alot of games. Their offense will be about the same as last year. They won't have their punter for field position, no cooper to score on d and punt returns, no play makers on offense, and cade will pretty much be guaranteed to get hurt within the first few games. 7-5
I think we are headed towards 11-1 Oregon Ohio state and PSU. It’s bold, but I think those are the best 3 teams in the big ten and it will show. Michigan is very good too especially on defense but their schedule is hard. Texas Oregon and Ohio State all on the schedule plus west coast to Washington not easy. USC can be tricky but trenches miss match. I don’t think they win 10 in 2024. If they do Sherrone Moore is coach of the year.
@@JoeMiskowski-ng7eb it’s not so much that Penn State is the best team or one of the three best teams in the league and this great team, but they have a really easy schedule
I agree somewhat, I think OSU is the best team and Oregon is no 2 in the Big 10(18) OSU might lose at Oregon but if they do or not they rematch in the conference title game with OSU winning. I think no 3 in the conference is a battle between Penn St, Michigan, and USC. Those 3 teams between each other could finish between 3, 4, or 5. I think Penn St is most likely to finish 3rd, Michigan most likely 4th or 5th, USC most likely 4th or 5th. Michigan loses to Oregon and Ohio State but could also lose to USC but that’s kind of hard to see Michigan losing 3 homes games including a loss to Texas. Michigan should beat Washington in Seattle. I think Penn St probably beats USC. Oregon may go undefeated or 1 loss, same with OSU, but OSU takes the conference title
@@DuckFanDane this is the point. PSU does not play Michigan or Oregon and they have a shot with buckeyes at home. I think they can win the big ten truly. I do think Oregon and Ohio State are better but it’s not by a huge margin.
I think you’re Nebraska analysis is pretty spot on. You may be surprised at how loaded we are at TE and WR though. In Current format, Matt Rhule would’ve had Baylor and Temple in the playoffs in his time there. I see our ceiling at 11-1 only because the schedule isn’t that tough. And the only for sure loss I see is at Ohio st. I agree that we will beat Usc, they’re going to be very beat up by the time we play them and I think 1-1 split against Wisconsin and Iowa seems more than reasonable to end likely 10-2 and that would likely land us in playoffs. That’s best case and my high hopes, which I know can only take me so far 😂
Thank you! I can see USC performing much better than I predict them to. It all depends on the genius they hired in D'Anton Lynn, and how much Lincoln Riley and Bennie Wylie had given him to work with.
Really I don't think so Minnesota Golden Gopher football has a good chance to beat Usc P.J FLECKS IS a great coach so say what you want about this comment because I don't care GO GOLDEN GOPHER FOOTBALL ROW THE BOAT IN 2024
GBR! I hope we get that matchup against Texas. Most of us are still upset at that 09 B12 championship result. I also have us going 9-3 but with losses to USC, OSU, and take your pick between Iowa or Wisconsin.
What kind of ass clown wants to play former big12 teams especially Texas..Oklahoma kicked our ass Colorado has been kicking our ass so I just don't get why put us through the misery until Nebraska would ever start winning on the field.
This is a well done list and thoroughly researched! I really appreciate your content. I only have two points where I slightly disagree: 1) Michigan State is in year one of a complete rebuild, they’ve got some good pieces and a really good coach, but they’re going to have to overcome so much internally I see them dropping a few games you wouldn’t expect them to drop. I’d have them at 13. 2) I have a lot of concerns with Oregon. Their offense really stalled against good defenses last year, and they’ve got a brand new quarterback in the system, and it’s the first year in a new conference that will have a lot of long travel times. They could absolutely prove me wrong, as they have so much talent, but I just think they’re going go get upset once or twice keeping them out of the conference championship game (that road Wisconsin game is gonna be brutal at the end of the year)
That’s what I’m saying. Oregon tends to crumble under pressure. You would hope this team is better than last seasons because OSU and Michigan are better than Washington and were better in my opinion last years as well
As an Ohio St. fan I think people are discounting the Chip Kelly factor and simply looking at player recruiting rankings for O-line. Chip Kelly teams have ran the ball effectively with less talent everywhere he has been. We will know more at the halfway point whether we can win it all or not, any projections at this point are purely speculation with so many unknowns on the offensive side of the ball. The defense will be elite though and could be one of the best ever.
I am an Ohio State fan and do not especially like Oregon. However, in my opinion, you are not giving them enough credit. They have a ferocious pass rush and outstanding receivers to go along with possibly the best QB in the B1G. To me, they are no worse than #2 in the prediction list. Your guys up north, to me, are the hardest to predict. You guys lose a large number of seniors (including heavy contributors on the OL), quite a bit of your coaching staff and the QB will be a question mark to start off the season. On the other side of the coin, your D should be excellent again this year and I expect good line play and a strong running game. I would rank them at #3, knowing they could end up above or below that line.
Michigan cheated. Also Sam you just need to do better. There are 18 teams in the B1G and it’s pretty clear you only watch Michigan OSU and Nebraska. Lots of this video watches like someone who doesn’t watch the games.
What exactly gives away that I only watch Michigan, Ohio State, and Nebraska? I watched more Penn State, Washington, and Michigan State Football than I did Nebraska Football last year. And yes, Michigan cheated, but saying it over and over again is redundant.
@@collegefootballwithsam ignoring the biggest cheating scandal in CFb history but reminding everyone that they won the National Champonship** every video is cute and convenient Walmart Wolverine behavior. Mgoblog the channel. I think we both know you didn’t do much research on IU or NW or UCLA or any other teams. Indiana’s analysis was limited to good trench play? Couldn’t be more obvious you didn’t watch any Indiana except maybe that Ohio State game and obviously @cheaters. You can go in to the rivals website and read the articles on each team. It would probably take 30 minutes to get a good summary of the off season, another 30 minutes to read the game summaries of each B1G game for each school. They don’t get you clicks but you also clearly put no effort into teams that aren’t already big brand so the people do check you out aren’t coming back. This channel is basically Maze tinted glasses the channel and overhyping Nebraska every chance you get for obvious reasons. I cant say I blame you but there is literally no reason for fans of the 15 other B1G schools to watch this channel. The analysis you give is so out of sync with the actual situation. It’s been that way almost every time I watch your stuff.
There is zero chance Ohio State loses to anyone other than maybe UGA and I'm predicting they go undefeated. The OLine is just fine. They aren't dominant for sure but they return everyone and add a better Center which was the biggest issue on our line. And no McLaughlin doesn't have snapping issues, that was his idiot QB'S issues. Oregon isn't as good as everyone makes them out to be. Beat twice by a team Xichigan smoked. Iowa will be better than ya think PSU worse.
I'll take Oregon over FSU on the road or not - FSU is going to struggle with their QB play against Oregon's D and the Ducks O will score above their average after a slate of B10 conference games; Oregon by +10... tOSU and Georgia are the only two teams capable of keeping Oregon from winning its first NC - and against either it'll be a close, hard-fought game decided in late in the 4th...
In regards to the Power Rankings and the Mich assessment, there is no way they go 12-0 and will Mich will end up #2 in the Conf. You made a good point that they only return 5 starters, but we know Mich has plenty of talent. However, where I think your assessment falls short is that you don't adequately take into account the coaching change. If Harbaugh was the only coach leaving that would be one thing, but they also lost defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, defensive line coach Mike Elston and strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert to the Chargers and when he didn't get the DC role Clinkscale (DB coach) left as well. So, all the key Def coaches had to be replaced. Also. don't underestimate the loss of Herbert on that staff as he is the voice the players hear in the off-season and we know how much coaches value their S&C coach. Then on top of all that, they don't have QB locked in as a starter, any of which will be in their first year.
@@armandhammer3782Because you’re also a michigan fan lol. That’s like a Vanderbilt fan saying they’re going to the natty because they’re a fan of them.
I can't help but feel like you're drastically overestimating Michigan. With his big of a turnover as they had in the offseason and with the fact that they lost their entire coaching staff and with all of the distractions that are bound to come from them potentially being banned from the postseason I just don't think that this team does anything but take a step back.
Michigan will have at least 3 losses, most likely 4. I don't understand why people think Michigan is going to be good. Have you seen that offense they will have? lol. Then, to think that they will make the playoffs, let alone win 2 games 🤣🤣🤣🤣
oregon is going to flatline michigan and the point that was made about FSU remeber what everyone said last time we played FSU they were to big to strong to fast defending national chmapions and they got beat by 45
I think it's fair to say the Big 10 is the top conference this year. That said, I do not see Michigan beating OSU in the Playoff. Although untested, OSU had the best transfer portal results this season. Lose to Oregon, possibly. Other than that, that's all. I really think the will make the NC this year.
Also Oregon is literally a smaller Ohio state(loaded with talent but chokes away big games. Maybe because of the QB play you give the edge to Oregon at home but id hold my breath against the returning Buckeye defense.
Lolololololololol, hilarious, kinda like that soft weak team in Columbus, who can't beat Michigan to save their momma's lives. Pipe down little boy, go back to sleep. Dreamland is better than reality for you clearly! ✌️
The Pac12 was clearly the best conference in the nation last year. There will be no increase in competition for the West Coast teams. For instance, no QB USC plays against in 2024 would rank in the Top10 of QB's they faced in 2022-2023.
Ive liked some of your videos. This one though, I dont agree with. B1G doesnt play offense outside of Ohio St and maybe Michigan. The B1G has overinflated defensive stats because of it. Oregon is going to be fine.
We will just have to see. You could be totally right or I could be. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, which is why I picked Oregon to still cruise through Big Ten play and have a great shot at going to Indy rather than having them go 10-2/9-3.
@@OnlyNikeFans It's a suspicion of mine that losing Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, Jackson Powers-Johnson, and Troy Franklin, along with bringing in a ton of portal help at DB, might result in a slight step back for Oregon. Also, playing a much tougher schedule than last year could wear at Oregon, but I think physically Oregon is built to have success long term in the conference. I could be wrong though. After all, these are preseason rankings which means there is a lot of speculation built in.
@@collegefootballwithsam I argue against what your saying though as far as schedule goes. I look at what Oregon played last season and what they're playing this season and view that as much easier. Outside of Michigan and Ohio State the rest of the season feels almost like penciled in wins. Don't get me wrong the trip to Wisconsin late in November is going to be a tough one especially if Oregon has injuries going into the game. But Oregon played a much more difficult schedule in my opinion last year and it's the perception of the PAC 12 that hurt Oregon more than anything. PAC 12 has always been underrated and undervalued. PAC 12 always cannibalized itself almost year in and year out and it wasn't because the whole conference was bad. Everyone just acted as if the conference was bad because the elite teams couldn't go undefeated. Oregon will be right in the mix with Ohio State every single year for the top of the B1G.
Ask Oregon about losing to the same team more then once. In 2022 and 2023 they lost to The Huskies 3 X - the 3rd time in the PAC-12 Championship game. Might be the last one.
I'll bet this channel xichigan 10k right now that xichigan at best has 2 losses and definitely won't make the nc game and most likely will not make the playoffs
No you won't! Bucks soft and lose again to Michigan, who stomps that pathetically soft and weak team in Columbus, into the ground again on way to easily winning the Big yet again. Shhhh little boy
That'll never happen but keep wishing, that is the only hope possible. Oregon will get stomped by Michigan, end of story! Shut Oregon couldn't even win the weak pac-10 title, please, keep dreaming away championships sleeping in the basement.
Michigan is going under 9. Might even get punk’d by Fresno who knows but one of the B1G middle pack teams will sneak one on then. New staff new coach new players.
Just curious, I saw you had 3 losses in Oregon’s floor. Assuming Michigan gives them their 2nd loss, who do you think is most likely to give them their 3rd loss?
@collegefootballwithsam why do you believe Wisconsin is going to beat the ducks? When was the last time the badgers beat UO? And who on that team is threatening them offensively?
Having Rutgers over Maryland is so disrespectful Maryland has owners Rutgers every single year and that won’t change this year. In fact the Maryland disrespect in general is crazy yes we lost some talent last year but we also have a lot of good depth on the positions we lost Dylan’s wade our new tide end will be a beast
I just want my school UCLA to show up and make a strong impression this season. Coach DeShaun Foster is going to great things with the program. How quickly will they be competing for B1G football titles? Not sure. But I do believe they will be competitive very shortly. Looking forward to seeing this new era of B1G football.
