Yes, what's up with forcing you to go with black leather? I was just trying to configure one of these yesterday and was wondering if the configurator was broken or what! Super dumb and for no obvious reason I can think of except that they only have to make one color ventilated seat...
Bmw M340i owner here. Currently driving a 2024 M440i Gran Coupe while car is having a steering issue solved. Gotta say, I like the M440i alot more. Everything about it. Have an M2 on order and a small part of me wants the more practical M440i now 🤦♂️
Take a closer look at idrive8. Idrive8 is a horrible example of what happens when a company tries electrify something that what was primarily mechanical, ie buttons. It's not pretty or practical. I know
I have the same debate over the M2 and M440i and went with the latter. After moving and go on a road trip across half a country, I gotta say M440i is the best touring car in that price range. Even the 2021 RS5 I owned before does not feel as good.
@@mordredma I wish the M440i had a bit more rear seat legroom. But I guess that's normal for the German cars...? Is there another Gran Coupe that's larger?
i had a g20 and now waiting for my m440i and i have to say, i really, really liked the older dashboard design. much more buttons n'stuff. I dont like the trend of putting a big tabled and call it a day...but anyway, sit inside a 4 seriers at a dealer and i have to say, in reallife it doesnt look that bad and its actually quite nice.
I'm undecided between the 2024 BMW M440i Gran Coupe and the 2024 BMW M340i for family use. Seeking your opinion as a car reviewer to help determine which is a better fit, specifically in terms of drive comfort and space."
Drove the regular 4 series as a loaner when my x5 was in for service. Was really impressed. Very comfortable and a fun drive. I’d seriously consider switching across to the M440 when my x5 lease is up.
Aside from two things I don't really like ... I do like the overall look of the car. The front end has grown on me. I really like it. Two things I don't like (and it's the same for the 3 series) 1. I do not care for the long gauge/infotainment screen. I like how it was separate in the 22/23 model years. 2. The missing gear selector stalk. Should have kept it. Gives the sense of a manual.
Nice car but i still find the 2020 4 series to be easier on the eyes . Im just not of fan of the larger grills on these models … the larger grills look great on the M3 , M4 etc. just not on these 🤷🏻♂️
No mention that the 2023 had a lot more controls that are not buried in the screen menus. I hate that I need to go into the screen to turn the fan speed up and down. The massive screen is a downgrade compared to the Audi S5 Sportback.
It shouldn't even to offered as an option. I can't believe how bad it is.. It ping pongs off of white lines so badly, that I was looking to see if a police car was following me. They might have thought there might have been an impairment issue.. I'll leave my assessment of it at horrible. I turned it off when the car started aiming for telephone poles. Is sad to say BMW hasn't been able to make appreciable progress with that "tech". It's a nice $1,700 markup though
@@stephenfurr8769 I can't speak 1st hand about all cars. I can give an opinion based on 1st hand experience with Tesla in 2023 and a 2024 72k USD M440i drive GC. idrive8 and BMW's self-driving is nowhere near where Tesla was in 2015. BMW release a $1,700 option that never should have been made public; it's that bad. BMW has a very long row to hoe before they have a product BMW approaches where Teslas FSD Beta is today. The 3d view and backup assist is pretty good, but that's just the $700 product, not the $1,700 USD option
This is a luxury performance sedan. You're paying for a lot more packages, upgrades, and not to mention the massive engine upgrade from the 430i. But you can get the less sporty 430i gran coupe for about $20,000 less.
This car is trash I miss the angel lights and proper grille proportion Also the interior is trash. You can buy 30k cars that implement the screens into the dash board better.
