In this video we look at the 2024 Buick Encore GX Preferred AWD finished in Ocean Blue Metallic with the Ebony interior. For 2024, the Encore GX has received a refresh with new exterior styling and interior technology. Even though the Encore GX does remain more expensive than the Buick Envista, it does come with more available features and technology. Great refresh on a nice little suv. It and the NEW Chevy Trax are in the running for our motorhome toad. The AWD version of the Encore GX can towed 4 wheels down.

The Encore GX and Trailblazer sit up just a bit more but as a whole both have a fairly traditional CUV shape.

Buick is a mostly a foreign car brand at this point. Only the Enclave (rebadged chevy blazer? ) is made in the USA - the others ... Envision made in china, Encore made in Korea.

The Enclave is a Traverse sibling. Back in the day (2007/2008), the Saturn Outlook, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, and Chevy Traverse were all nearly the same vehicle.

Here’s the thing, the original Encore and the 1st generation Trax (I don’t know if the 2017 refresh for the Trax counts as a different generation or not) are built on the same platform. Now the 2024 Trax and all new Envista are on the same platform. So aren’t the Encore GX and Trailblazer on the same platform? Buick and Chevrolet are pretty much the same thing and the 2024 Trax is cheaper. $20-25K and bigger (smaller in height) why even bother making two different brands. Buick and Chevy are the exact same thing!!!
