I was pretty much thinking the same thing. From the spec sheet and engineering, this thing is gonna be really fast and fun to drive. People shouldn't get hung up on the suspension. Function over form.
I don’t doubt the suspension design allows for some phenomenal geometry but I can’t help but think those aluminum bits sticking out are gonna get sand blasted to hell in a short period of time.
I’m most excited about the transmission. That seems fun. The suspension doesn’t bug me much. I’ll just have to wait and hear how it goes but I don’t think it will suck. I was really thinking they were going to a much larger disc brakes though. Especially with the bigger wheel. Great video and it’s good to see you putting up more content!
Thanks Bob I think the transmission is going to be amazing I'm really excited to get behind the wheel of one of these I'm guessing the brakes are pretty impressive too. thanks for watching 😎👍
Totally missed the point of the new machine at .20 seconds. It is not the replacement of the X3. It's a full on West Coast Race Machine. The X3 accepts 35" tires for us Hatfield riders.
First the Maverick R will handle 35's second the R has better articulation than any SxS out there, I would trade articulation for 35,s any day.@@jabroni6199
still open.......no closed cabine with AC ? , no smaler versions ? 78 gets quick 80 wide, tooo much, the weight vs extra HP , in the end the old once are faster
I personally would not want to enclose cab on this type of machine not yet and you'd look at another 10,000 in cost I don't think we're ready for that either as far as how fast it is I doubt the old machine is faster with the DCT we will see 😎👍
Great to see you releasing videos again! I mostly agree with your first impressions. I’m sure it’s an amazing desert ripper. I’m most excited by the DCT also! I had two GTI’s and now a Porsche Macan with DCT and I have loved them. Even though CanAm didn’t directly address it I believe they are trying to extend the fuel mileage. They talked about cylinder deactivation and that combined with the 7 speed transmission which I think will improve the MPG. I don’t like the cage at all. It looks just as weak as the X3 and the mounting to the frame is wonky. The state of the sport continues to rise. It’s great for all of us. 👍👍😎
Marvin good to hear from you too. can am uses a dual phase metal and it is a little different. I believe they have increased the thickness so hopefully the cage is stronger. overall this thing's going to be fast and people are going to love it,😎👍
