I think you guys should promote a shootout/comparison race with 3 cars from each manufacturer Maverick R / Polaris pro r / speed 2 seaters with there top drivers on your guys monster track . Do like 20 laps as this would show how the cars hold up. By having 3 cars each with there top drivers scrapping it out it would be one hell of a event to attend for the public .It would definitely show which car is the best sxs in the industry compared to having a single car from each manufacturer doing some mediocre comparisons as they could manipulate that compared as to having 3 of the best off road drivers racing for there own manufacturer ! PUT UP OR SHUT UP 2024 WEST COAST BATTLE OF MANUFACTURERS
How much you want to bet the "top" can am race team's will have that BS suspension modified to be a A arm at KOH? Just like they already do, to run the shock on the bottom A arm. Just like they throw away those dynamic shocks and many other things. Anyone want to make that bet with me?
The if the tire doesn't hit the knuckle sitting right on the ground it will never hit the knuckle because the tire and the knuckles never get any closer

With that being said I'm sure someone is already working on a kit to change this new one over to where it doesn't go over it where the Handling isn't as important as the tire room a the basically they already have the blue print with the other design so there opinions how ever it goes down I really like the trans ideal specially for riding around the back roads put guess I'll wait tell they put the 6.2 ls in it
Doing that would you would have the best of both worlds the ds could basically stay the way it is for the ones that doesn't want to change gears because both have there pro an cons
I tried to look at all the comments to see if there was anyone asking about putting paddle tires on and i didnt see anything ....Is that going to be a problem ? i think the vast majority run 32" for the dunes . Thanks for the great content you guys put out.
I call bs on that explanation they gave you. They are trying to get rid of scrub and because of the Polaris and Speed patents, they came out with this wacky setup. I seen this design about 10 years ago in some trucks…..I don’t see it anymore. The powertrain is off the hook though, like that aspect of it but that’s it.
With parallel arms and equal distace pivot points, it seems it might have a ton of track change while having no camber change. They did all that for a lower roll center. Something speed did without goofy moon rover suspension.
I've been posting pics of both my pro Rs on 35s over on FB with my 35zillas on one car and my system 3 35s on my other car next to each other and my zillas are bigger so just because it says 35s doesn't mean all 35s run the same size it should be obvious but it's not to some people and another thing the inside of the zillas might rub aswell. I'll be shocked if the 35zillas fit at all top and side and if they dont people are going to be pissed because those are my go to 35s aswell for a ton of other people. I can't believe we are having this conversation it blows my mind.
Lest be realistic here. Nothing will survive a bubba or leroy encounter. However, KOH will be the judge of what this is capable of or not. I dont think the Mantis suspension is smart as i can see rocks taking it out in a extreme camber. Time will tell.. an when it rolls in the rocks, we will see what survives.
Agree KOH has places that suspension will catch a rock. Maybe it won't break, but if it catches, you're either stuck or something is bending. It really doesn't make sense imo. Just put stronger ball joints and keep the A arms. Seems like marketing bs to me.
If that suspension was the hot ticket, all the trophy trucks would be running it. That 7 speed tranny is going to be a nightmare. I'll stick with my X3 MAX. You'll see they'll abandon that suspension style in 2 years
The mantis arms have been used in The Tesla vehichles for a long time people just dont notice because it has fenders and you can't see it so this design is nothin new
As cool as the technology is it is heavy, big and a small motor and… plenty ugly and mostly unnecessary on the suspension design. No other desert racing vehicle needs that crap. Upper ball joints are never really a problem anyways. Love the transmission but they never talk about the diffs…. Are they stronger?
I could've sworn last year they claimed it was 205 an more had 15 inch an now there saying 200 an 14 an don't think they changed anything buy the color so technically the price shouldn't have went up think they basically getting rid of the stock they wouldn't able to where they have been behind an if this new one goes over well then the other design they had floating around where the arm came to the top of tire but not over witch still lowered stress but everything else was the same I'm guess next year they will do the Mr an rc like that with the new motor an Trans an then rather drop the x3 or leave it as the ds model then the models would be more Purpose built like they have been trying to do instead of paying a few extra thousand for basically stickers like we been doing reason I'm thinking this is this one going to dominate the track an the the other design would the rocks an mud an you would still have the 64 for the price point an tight trails course the trails are getting wider so the rock an mud version would probably dominate their too
As far as that arm goes any body going bigger than 35 are usually running portals an you put 4 inch ones on it then u could put what ever you want on it
