I had a ‘19 HC with the 6.2, sunroof, HUD, standard running boards, 22” rims with low profile tires. It was a nice, strong truck with plenty of getup and go. Sticker, then, said around $68K. The HC does come with rain sensing wipers even though it doesn’t say so on the stalk. I replaced the reverse lights with leds as well as the license plate lights. I even had the rear view camera mirror. So, looking at this HC, I believe it isn’t what I would call HC…no rear view camera mirror, HUD, or sunroof. This is supposed to be the top trim level which is supposed to have all the bells and whistles. I think they are going to have a hard time selling this one. It’s a pricey vehicle that is no better than an LT or RST. So, your paying for the HC badging. Whoever ordered this truck needs to have their head examined because I wouldn’t pay $73K for what it should have on it. I am on my seventh Silverado, a 2022/3 1500 LTZ that has everything I mentioned plus the multiflex tailgate. RS wipers, sunroof, HUD, chrome running boards, 20” wheels, intellibeam, in the pearl white tricoat paint, sprayed in bedliner, and the 360 camera system. I have the 5.3L V8 with the 10 speed automatic and towing capacity of 9300 lbs.. I added a Pedal Commander and soft tonneau cover. I highly recommend the PC as it wakes up the 5.3 to almost the level of the 6.2. All this I have mentioned for the lower price of around $65K. So, I think someone who buys this truck is getting short changed for the top trim level. IMO
I thought the sticker said black interior. I’m glad you did this video, I just ordered mine with max tow same color truck standard bed same color interior. First video with audio for active exhaust.
Gorgeous truck! I could be wrong, but I think the reason the put the 6.6 in the HD trucks and not the 6.2 is because the 6.6 is a heavy duty iron block engine that’s built to handle consistent heavy towing and it’s able to go long distances while towing a heavy load without overheating or breaking anything. I think the 6.2 is an aluminum block and if you tow heavy with it consistently, it’s more likely to have issues because that’s not really what it’s built for.
6.2 was always considered a performance engine and requires high octane fuel, it would be wasted in a HD or fleet vehicle. The 6.6 runs on regular fuel, has lower power, lower revving.
I bought this truck up in New England and I’m including the sticker because I ended up paying out-of-pocket before the trade-in was 72K it included so much more. It was the diesel so I get about 26 MPG. It also has the cover window in the back, it also has a self driving, which is absolutely insanely good, it has the mirror three months with the subscription with the infinite Wi-Fi XM and all the other stuff the self is covered for three or four years. It was absolutely amazing remote start with the app compared to what I’m looking at here. It appears I got a lot more for a lot less than what this truck is being sold for in Florida. The dealer I bought from them years ago and I can’t believe I haven’t returned to buy car since then until this one it was so easy no bullshit no extras in finance, what you have to recover from a painful pressure program. I said I don’t want anything else. They said that’s fine done. I also got the GM finance under 5% and didn’t have to start paying for three months so this is a pretty sweet deal. I am not a super 😮knowledgeable car guy, but after reading into what you have with this vehicle, it appears to be the same at 24 Silverado. I was kind of blown away by how much less you get at this place maybe it’s all but damn with the self driving. If I lived in that area I would fly up in the self drive my way back to Florida, anyhow it’s interesting to see how pricing is and made it to look that that’s what everyone sells it for the printed sticker I would like to say is that it’s worth shopping around. My Costco membership took $1000 off the price like I said ended up paying with they offered me about 72 k. Good luck. This is a nice solid car nope truck I keep saying car because it’s so darn uncomfortable and has all the amenities you would include in a car. Everything is programmable. Practically couple of different drivers preferences auto driving capabilities. It’s amazing it took me a little bit to trust it, but it really does. One time I was tired it actually put the turn signal on moved it over to the side of the highway .
The same was said about prices 20 years ago. Cost of living keeps escalating at an unfair rate for the average Joe. Unions at the factory and parts suppliers and delivery drivers? They all hold the buyers hostage with their demands.
I bought a 2016 high country, msrp then was 75k canadian. Starting in 2020, nothing but issue after issue. Have sunk 12k in this truck over the last year. Nice trucks, but when shit goes south, it costs big bucks.
great looking truck. The 22's should not be an option and honestly 18's are a superior option but it can't be optioned on the High Country. I've owned rhe 5.3, 6.2, and 3.0. IMHO the 3.0 is the best option.
Navigation... pay for data plan since Google or standard free navigation without live updates? On a side note, don't the power running boards have a push button that rocks them back toward the bed to step on for the bed?
you never stopped the camera over the entre left half of the the mulroney sticker. No active suspension for $73k if u show the ENTIRE sticker we would know the options
If it has the max tow package the tow rating is going to be higher than 9200, my 2017 with the 6.2 is rated at 9100 without the max tow. I believe it's around 11000
Dear Ferman Chevy in Brandon Fl.. Make sure that who ever buys this truck in this video is aware that some knothead ran the crap out of it before it was broke in. Disrespectful people with other peoples merchandise are disgusting
These trucks are wayyyyyy too much money. If I had that kind of money I'd spend a couple more bucks on a TRX instead. Also the bas model price for these pickups are just as insane.
It’s just not worth it. Ford F150 platinum has much better stylish interior way more upgrades, you get way more horsepower and more torque and overall fords just look so much better 😎 considering the price for Chevys high country versus Ford platinum. If you’re going to pay a high price, might as well get as much as you can with it and Ford delivers.
Worst Camera man ever, why is it so hard for everyone to step back and take a full side view video instead of dumb angles and super close up views that can't distinguish crap.
These trucks are worthless! Bought one for $70k in June, I have 5k miles and tried to trade in last week. Three dealers only offered $51k. I bought some trash.
No. You did not buy trash. You just have no clue whatsoever about the economics of purchasing a vehicle. You lost $25,000 the day you drove that truck off the lot. Trading it in at 5k miles is the same as setting fire to $25,000 cash. You would be lucky to retrieve that 25 k loss if you traded the truck in at 55,000 miles. You have to keep a vehicle for 75,000 miles at least before you can recover your loss.
So tell me what average American can afford the Truck? All truck manufacturers are pricing out the customer's that made these trucks sell in the 1st place. All for the wealthy.
