Not true. My dad still has the window sticker for his 2018 Silverado 3500 Dually LTZ and he bought it for $74K. Before any options, it was $54K. That's a $10K difference since pre pandemic.
You’re smokin crack if you truly believe what you wrote in this comment….. my dad bought an AT4 duramax in 2019 for just below $80K…. Your math would mean the 2024 AT4 duramax prices out at $130K….. the configurator is online, and oh btw it shows pricing; is there a special option that I’m missing? Does the new AT4 actually fly, and will it do my taxes next year?
I’m not a Chevy guy or a chrome guy but man this black and chrome with those wheels looks great! If Chevy would come out with a sport appearance for the Dually like the single rear wheel that would be awesome too IMHO. Chevy is the value leader at the moment! 🇺🇸💪
That’s a nearly perfect truck JB! The LTZ comes pretty loaded and it’s nice that you get dual power seats with driver memory even with the 40/20/40 seats. The bed lights use to be plug and play but I’m not sure about that now. I’d ask the dealer and see. But man that truck is awesome! For guys wanting an LT with leather just order or find an LTZ like this. It’s about the same price plus you get memory seats and power extend mirrors.
Even though still expensive. Chevy has the best prices. I saw a big horn Gas ram 2500 that was over 70 grand. Apparently Mexican labor got a huge raise. 🤷🏻♂️
Very nice truck and excellent review. I almost canceled my F350 Lariat order and ordered one of the 2024 Chevy trucks. I have to admit that I prefer the redesigned look of the chevy to the Ford. My new Ford truck will be delivered in a few weeks and hopefully I love it. Chevy did one heck of a good job with their redesign. I went with the 7.3 because I didn't want a diesel and it was the Ford 7.3 that was key to not canceling my order.
Wow nice truck. Kinda my dream truck but bigger custom made and more parts on it and different package like height country DRW… I did built on it from Chevrolet online, is cost almost 95K dollars for the dually truck. I wish I can add a 3.72 or 3.80 or 4.10 axle on the truck.
Here is a question no one has ever mentioned. With those push button start stop things, if ya want the radio going but not the engine, how does that work? For arguments sake, you've stopped to fuel up, kids in back, wife's in front, they want the radio going while you're out putting diesel in and engines off, how on earth do ya leave the radio on? I'm old school and used to a key start stop system. Two things I'd want in that ute (truck for Americans). The lights in the tray and a sunroof keeping the front bench seat.
@@Featherburner thank you. Goes to show how old school i am. I'm used to vehicles where the lower the speed you drove the more power in the arms to steer it (power steering). And air con was how far down the window got wound down. That's how technical i am with these new vehicles.
6 figure trucks will be the norm.....hate it all you want but nothing stays the same....EVER plenty of people can and will buy them Base trucks are the calling for people who have an issue with them You don't need an LTZ...its not meant for guys like that
I think even a base LTZ should come standard with front and rear parking sensors. I guess with the 3.42 rear axle you can tow smaller light weight fifth wheel’s.
@@garysarratt1 All the material I’ve read and have seen especially with Ram show that the lower the rear axle ratio the lower the towing capacity. I had a 2017 Ram Laramie 3500 dually with 6.7 Cummins with 3.42 rear axle and max towing was 16,500. According to the Ram towing guide the lower the rear axle ratio the lower the towing capacity.
@@robertburns5145 That doesn’t account for the gearing changes the 10 speeds bring. If the Ram guide always held true, the tow capacity would proportionally increase the higher the ratio. So a 3.42 can do 31k, thus the 4.3 with the same engine and tranny should do about 38,750. I have trouble accepting that for modern requirements on a vehicle that’s not meant for a farm or similar slow speed working application. With 4-6 speed transmissions, that will get you going and handle steep inclines better, but use more fuel and wear engines more due to higher RPM. If a rancher needs a mule or a hotshotter wants the most towing ability possible, fine. It seems unnecessary, expensive and counterproductive though for the average camper tower (currently 15k for me) to need more than 3.42 with the 10 speed. My payload is 3100. Pin weight is listed at 2145. A bigger rear chunk (and other more hd gear and bigger fuel tank) would add weight, and when I go to a new workplace I carry blocks, tools, propane etc. So maybe reflexively jumping at the bigger rear ends without calculating for one’s actual needs isn’t always the way to go.
Why am I forced to install my own dashcam P/N 19433432? For a truck this expensive? It is ridiculous. With all the nutty drivers, I need front and rear dash cam for my VW Beetle.
gm should keep those 3.42’s for the guys that want to just look cool in their rootin tootin dually and have a 4.10 version for the guys that use their dually for what it’s intended…. WORK!
I do not understan anyone that tolorates these ridiculous prices !! Even though i could pay cash for one and it wouldnt ruien my bank account , i still would not put up with that nonsense ! Keeping my hard earned money is more important than some overpriced garbage !
