The issue is Topps is overprinting. There is no way they can stick Autos and relics in every single blaster or hobby.

Problem is panini is a legend when it comes to putting patches in product that are not game worn or used by a player. It ends up being a random jersey they purchased and cut up

I've been a fan of catching prospects in Panini products with their first RC logo. Hell they still had Bobby Witt in there last year, lol. Good rpa's in chronicles. Thank you for the video!

Check out a Topps hanger box if you can find them in the wild. I've had pretty decent luck, got a rookie auto from one, and a memorabilia card from another. 59 cards for 13 bucks.

Sounds like it wants to be good, but without numbers and logos, how will this compete? Wild cards, Leaf, etc don’t hold as high a value. Sounds not good, plus my local big box stores rarely fill the shelves. MJ Holdings isn’t pushing out the workers to keep the shelves stocked in my area. This and all the breakers. How can regular people compete? We can’t get product, so we’re forced to go to breakers….

So 9/10 blasters have a fake patch card and 1/10 have an auto. Not momumental. Topps blasters always had a fake relic in them and people hated it

Company I preordered from said Donruss was pushed back til 8/31. Usually that means sometime in August, esp since 31st is a Saturday.

Donruss hobby boxes is slated to 3 hits per box (if like last year, 2 autos and 1 mem) and I can preorder from my local shop for $100. I'd rather get that over the blasters. Hobby boxes will be loaded with numbered cards (if like last year).

Sometimes competition breeds higher levels of caring and concern amongst rival companies, but most of the time companies are just trying work with that have and stay profitable. We shall see what Topps can do. We are not holding our breath though.

Couple issues here. Hold your judgement about the hires until you see them…those little helmet cards were considered “hits” in 2023…manufactured relics will add no value to those boxes. The other part is value. Even at $30 for 90 cards, the return on those will still be pennies on the dollar compared to comparable Topps products.

The reason why this will not concern Topps in the end and I love Donruss is the Fact that all the Major Guys will end up doing exclusive deals with Fanatics just like they have with Football my prediction no change by Topps other then to get to the athlete sooner.

The only draw back here is if they put in plain white napkins as hits then it wouldn't be worth it. Also if the prospect pool is really good it could be a great value.

You make a great point here just give us something to Hit. Sure do we all want licensed product yes we do but if you can corner the market on a low priced Boxes that actually have something to chase then you have something here. Donruss could crush this and make people love this product just by giving something back to the people.

Topps has manufactured relics in their blasters. Panini likes to cut up random jerseys as relics (not player or game worn)… to me that’s a manufactured relic too. But we will see what comes out of the boxes

I just started buying cards again. I ripped 4 Hanger box of DonRuss and got 4 bomb squad cards and two numbered. Just got back from grabbing another box and got another bomb squad!!! Best weekend ever

Basically they went bankrupt. Their brand was acquired by Upper Deck in 2005 for about $6 million. A year earlier Upper Deck offered Fleer $25 million, but it was rejected by Fleer.
