The ANC never focused on creating jobs or investing in infrastructure to advance the economy and create employment. This is deliberately done to keep the poor from being independence and thus reliant on government subsidies and blaming apartheid for this. Just yesterday i drove past Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital and i was shocked to see so much littering along the fence right up to Joburg Gen Hospital and wandered whether we have a functioning municipality in joburg.

Its not only now about pikit up strike, the place has always been messy, in February this year I drove down London Road in Alexandra township and the entire road was littered with all sorts of refuse which had not been collected for months and I raised my concern on this app. Pikit up was not strike at that time, we have a problem with lack of proper management and the use of state resources. People running CoJ don't have the necessary skills to run the city. The strike excuse won't fly just wake up and see the reality of our dire situation
