I think the Prime spec is one of the best basic high efficiency Freightliner setups I've seen. The only thing I think I'd want to change externally is maybe adding the rest of the AeroX drive axle fairings and going with the Daimler ParkSmart EPU instead of the TriPac diesel generator.
All they ever have is a down sped motor to either 400-455hp and they need to add a option on prime trucks especially when you pass them they have their fog lights on with no fog and when those aren't on their high beams usually so when go to pass one and they don't dim them down the truck will sense it and dim them for them because they never have cbs to say hey dim ya high beams
As a company driver can you pick out the color and black out package and also can you choose the two complete digital dashes I’ve seen the digital dashes in other 2024 and I like those better
Wow Freightliner rep knocks it out of the park. Very professional and sounds knowledgeable and well put together. Sorry Pete reps he did 10x better then you guys did ❤
@@drifter19444 the Pete guys looked lost. They would of just showed a picture of the truck and said here’s the new 2024 Pete’s and for you drivers you will be stopping at almost ever Pete dealer along your route😂
@Tranard Charles the side assist feature came in the middle of the model year so it is possible that your truck was earlier enough in the year it didn't receive one.
@user-fl7pw3vl3t it's cool but if u get the option all gauges are on radio and speedometer. U are able to control all the lights on radio it also have android and Apple car play. It connects to ur phone pretty quickly plus u can have the radio on without touching the key
We have started installing them on all of our 2024 trucks. You can check out this video for more information on it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7kp1rxhXVu4.html
Not to mention that disk brake pads are MUCH easier to replace than brake shoes on drum brakes. I know first hand from replacing linings on both types of brakes.
It was a cost and supply chain issue at the time. We had trouble getting rear disk brakes over the road and it was more cost-effective for the operator to not get disk brakes all the way around.
@@Peruviantrucker true, got mine on October with 800 miles in it and is already by 70k miles haven’t had a single problem yet, I’m on top of the maintenance after certain amount of miles and the performance is phenomenal, goes up the hills and down smoothly and engine brake is way more stronger than freightliner’s believe it or not, difference is u feel every single thing from the cab in the freightliner, in a Volvo the feel is smooth! no repita lo que oye por ahí, móntese en cada camión y tenga su opinión propia en base a su experiencia, saludos
@@markroberts2114not true, I drive a 2023 Volvo for prime and haven’t had a single problem and I don’t think I will if I keep taking care of it the way I do! Peterbilts and Kw are the ones living rent free in the shop 😂😂😂
Is this what prime is in training for five months no communication from the fleet manager being told second hand that there waiting on trucks for me to upgrade meanwhile I don’t know the last time I’ve seen my kids do I even have a fleet manager I wouldn’t know don’t know how long I will last
Super Singles suck. Side skirts block maintenance and they are a fire hazard. An AM radio is a safety item. Buttons don't belong on the steering spokes. A Chest freezer shelf would help. Nice Freightliner.
As of January 1 2024 the fmcsa is passing a new law over the road carriers are requiring to put drivers in motels due to safety and not sleeping well in vehicle
Hello Chad. Thank you for wanting to keep us in the loop but it looks like this is not correct. No new law is being passed with the FMCSA regarding this.
Yeah you leaving out the face facing cameras being installed in those trucks for Prime. I would say good luck keeping drivers but it'll take care of itself eventually. They think they need lease drivers now. Prime will be just like Swift in less than a year.😂
Hi! We are looking into the technology no decision has been made yet. The only decision that has been made is that we are getting outward facing (aka a dahs cam).
