My local dealer is Laidlaw HD. They DO NOT do markups. They’re very transparent with their prices and financing 🤙

No way in hell are they transparent on your contract they'll put 20% interest and hope the hell that you sign it. I called him on it and had to put a stop to that s*** right away😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

For bikes or cars, it's best to buy 12 or 18 months old. Let someone else pay the extra fees and the high initial depreciation.

I bought one with 9 months, had pipes, pegs, grips etc and paid less than 6k that I would for the exact same thing brand new. And the extras would add up to more 1k. I'll never buy new, ever. Maybe winning the lottery.

My dealer marks up used bikes. I ended up with a new low rider last year while shopping for a used one but the dealer offered me 5000 more on my trade in if I went new. Sucked me in

Sales were down for the 2023 models but it’s not because the bikes were bad. The extras in the 2024s has created more hype but don’t think it changes anything long term. High interest rates make monthly payments too high and until they come down it’s going to be tough to sell $30k ++ bikes.

Dealer fees vary widely and aren't dictated by HD. Shop around for a better deal. It's ok to say no. Somebody out there really wants your biz...or wait for the 2025s to work out the inevitable bugs.

In 2022 I dealt for a SGS. ONE DEALERSHIP wanted $17000 plus my trade-in. The other dealership wanted $10000 plus my trade-in. Guess who got my business. Yes, not the local dealership, but the one that was 3 hours away. But on top of that Dubuque Harley davidson delivered it for free.

I had to laugh. In 2016 I was looking to buy SGS so I thought I would buy used. A 2014. They wanted $14000 plus two of my bikes. I said no. They came back and said $13000 plus my bikes for a new 2016 SGS Candy Black Gold. That nobody wanted. I said yes. I loved it. Later I got top $ trade in for it in 2022.

In Europe prices are much higher.. If we had similar prices with yours, we would be satisfied. Road Glide Special 2024 : Starting prices: 34,000 - 36820 usa dollars !! CVO Road Glide ST : 51850 !! Now compare it with USA msrp...

My dealer has a VIP book of coupons for $3000 in the purchase along with some extra warranty add ons. I've gotten more than the $3000 back in less than a year. Also they have free food and drink on the weekends. I also look at it that the employees are almost like family so the extra charges at least stay in the family

It is important that we as consumers do not pay more than MSRP or the extra dealer fees. It the dealers want to sell bikes they will wave the extra fees and dealer markup.

Only way markups and fees end, if everyone walks out when they see these fees. Unfortunately, some folks make a lot of money and don’t have a problem with it, they wanna be the first ones to own a 2024 model. I’ll probably wait later this year, when they start popping up on the used market.

I recall when there was a long waiting list to get any harley davidson. My local dealer told us when a new bike came in and our number was up.to take it or leave it( no haggling] didn,t want ? The nest guy on the list was offered it. You moved down. I should emphasize no choice of color just what he got in. I thought those days were long gone. Was I wrong?

Not sure who they are talking about I got numbers the other day and was told H.D. company will not let the dealers go over retail all that far I came out just over retail btw!

I walked into Harley Davidson World on Saturday to check to out the new CVO ST. I asked how much and they said $55,000 and this is before taxes and tags. I told him MSRP is $42,999. He replied, "Yea I know but we can get $55,000 for it and that's what they want for it." I won't ever buy a new Harley-Davidson and when Harley starts shutting down dealerships all over the country from the lack of sales they will only have themselves to blame. I don't want to hear about the younger generations wont buy a new Harley-Davidson. We are in your dealerships but we refuse to spend that much for a new motorcycle.

The way I buy a bike is 25 percent down and 36 to 48 month finance, max...and negotiate price

Buy a different brand. I had to get out of the HD scene for the limited value of the HD for the cost and d bags on them. So many tough guy types and gross humans in my area.
