should I get these Head Oblivion 84 or the Salomon Stance 84? I’m not a park guy but I do enjoy skiing off-piste, hitting side jumps and stuff like that but I’m not sure which one of the two is the right one for me
The Oblivion's strength is in the park. It can do other things as well, but the Stance is likely the ski you're looking for given the all-mountain nature.
I'd think the Oblivion has more to offer on groomers and switch. It's built with more of a traditional sidewall construction and has better grip and power to it. I'd lean that way.
It's a bit more park-focused than the Nordica. Thick walls, lots of camber, and a strong build. It's more like the Soulrider 87 just a bit narrower. Great grip, though!
They're quite different. The 79 has a full cap construction and a very dense core for being so narrow. The 84's sidewall construction is more race-like in nature and this ski totally rips in an all-mountain format. The 79 is more closely banded to the park and pipe competition realm.
