No transcript update still says N/A WMR is still stuck at return accepted. This is what i don't understand. Let's say i /or anyone else who filed a return forgot to add a 1099 or whatever, supposedly by law or IRS rules and / or regulations. You have 3 years to file an amended return, so why hold the refund in question? But yet when the IRS thinks you owe its HURRY UP OR LOSE JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING.
Filed on 1/22 accepted 1/23 never had an issue but had to verify my identity this time around. I was told I’d be mailed a letter and should receive it within 2 weeks. It came the very last day and I confirmed my identity online also called in and confirmed also. This was on 2/27 was told it could take up to 9 weeks. Checked my transcripts today and it finally updated from N/A with a 846 refund issue code of 3/15… now just waiting.. there is hope you guys. I was frustrated with the issues as well and thought I’d never get my returns!! I’ll update you guys once received
I'm happy to hear that. I verified last week and I'm still showing n/a. I don't have any codes at all. So did yours update overnight or sometimes this late morning?
It’s funny I filed on 1/22 and accepted 1/23 I recently had to verify my identity as well and it was successful same day on 3/6 so you give me much faith.
IRS accepted my return on 2/8. As of this morning, no update to status. Transcript still reflects that no tax return has been filed and the Check Return Status feature remains in “received” status. It’s been well beyond the 21 days
I called them. They told me they're mailing me a letter on March 18th. Which makes absolutely no sense. This was a week ago. Why would they KNOW they're gonna send a letter in 3 weeks time? Why not send me the letter right away? I don't understand.
GUYS READ THIS IT MAY HELP. (Claimed child credit and earned income) I filed and got accepted on the 31st of January. NO UPDATE SINCE THEN AND IM ON THE FIRST BAR. I had code 570 and 971 for about a month. With my WMR just saying I was under a 60 day review. CHECK YOUR TRANSCRIPTS. As of just now my transcript updated with code 571 and code 846 and my refund says it is released as of 3-13-2024. I WILL UPDATE IF FUNDS GET DEPOSITED EDIT: GOT MY REFUND DEPOSITED TODAY 3-9-24. Don’t give up! I filed my state and federal on 02/07 and it was approved later that day with receiving my refund by 02/28. Received my state on 02/13. Then 02/28 came and I still didn’t receive my federal. Checked where’s my refund and it said it was delayed. 03/01 I requested a digital transcript and it showed code 971 and 570. I’ve checked it daily since and today it finally changed With 571 and 846. Shows a date of 03/15. So we shall see if I finally receive my refund next Friday. I also called the customer service line for IRS earlier this week and each time was given different information, so I’m not sure I’d trust what they’re even saying when you call.
Did finally get the 846 code, I’m best guess is my refund was delayed from 1/29 till now due to the last 3 tax season having to pay taxes. Thank you for all the helpful information and knowledge
Logged through the irs account a few days it says that i need to verify my return filed on 2/7 . Never received a letter the mail called last week to schedule a in- person visit and i was told that to call back if i dont get a letter by 3/21 this is freaking upsetting with no refund update also no trancript update 😡
I filed on 1/31. I got the 570 and 971(got the letter saying i made an id me account) codes (both with 0.00 on them). This sucks. I'm tired of my crap sitting in purgatory.
Yep - Ideally that's what you want as withholdings in the case of W 2 employees are close to perfect. It is more beneficial I think for larger paychecks than just waiting on a yearly refund. No sense in someone else holding my money over the course of the year. But some people prefer the annual "lump sum"
We filed January 29th with child tax credits. We always do it on the very first day of filing when possible. We still have not gotten our return. We have the 2 codes mentioned in the video. The 570 and 971. The nightmare has been going on since this. We have not seen updates since 3/4/2024. The notice future date is 3/11/2024. Hold date is 4/15/2024. Now, this is annoying us to no end. What is going on? This is the first time we have had this much torture
Filed 2/8 accepted 2/9 refund delayed with a 570 code and 3/18 date.. was expecting an update on my transcript today.. didn’t get one. No 971 code.. very frustrating..
Do you have a cycle code ending in 05? Since the 570 code is dated 3/18 your still within there working time frame - the 3/15 transcript update seems likely when you should see something whether it is 971 or really hopefully the 571 and 846 codes.
@@UIVlogs2021 3/15 came and still no update to the transcript, I doubt there will be an update on 3/18 seeing that is an Monday and my cycle code is for Fridays 05.. no notices no thing..very weird
My daughter had the 570 code. Letter sent out. It finally resolved itself and she should receive it by the 14th. Hopefully sooner. She filed first week of Feb with child tax credit.

If you get a 5071c letter, verify it immediately as soon as possible. I've verified it online a week ago and I finally got my refund with my transcript today. Although I got a reduced refund because i owe irs money to which they took it for what i owe from them, otherwise the most importantly you will get your refund after you verified. Give it a week or two and you'll definitely get your refund. Remember to check your tax transcripts instead of your your check refund because they will not update the check my refund for awhile.
In return transcript, I see N/A for 2023. I can’t have my transcript bc it tells me to submit a form to have my transcript but im out of the usa rn bc I was on j1 visa. it still at the same bar on where is my refund. no updates nothing. i filed mine on 2/5/24 and accepted on the same day. I really don’t know what else I should do. Is there a maximum time for getting a refund? I just want my money im really pissed

Does the IRS actually update WMR on Saturdays for cycle codes ending in 05?
My refund was accepted on January 29 and no update on where's my refund just stuck on received and a message that says we are still processing ur refund and date we be giving as soon as they have one my tax transcript doesn't have any update or information it's n/a
Hello I mailed my return on February 6 … 31 days ago…WMR says “information does not match our records” and transcripts say “NA” and “no record of return on file” .. should I wait 2 more weeks ? Or should I EFile a new return? Thank you for answering my question…
@salmuscles - No do not submit another return whether by mail or efile at this time as you may cause even further delays! The IRS does not automatically log the return into the system when they receive it by mail, so it will sit there until someone is manually processing it. We always tell viewers who mail in a paper return to send it by certified mail so they know it arrived because the IRS will not inform you they received it before processing. Paper returns on average can take 6-8 weeks, so at this point you are still within the normal time frame. It is simply a waiting game at this point.

For those with cycle code ending in 05, should the update to transcripts have commenced today or overnight? I received a Wage and ACcount transcripts last Thursday with an as-of date of 3/18/24. NO updates were made to transcripts this week.WMR still shows that a letter is being sent but doesn't state I need to verify my identity.
I files on1/23 and a couple weeks later got the 570 and 971 with different dates. The irs said I would get the notice by 3/4 . I never got a notice, but did view on the website. It's the CP05 notice just stating they're reviewing my return. My question is could I get my refund before the transcript updates and or can updates happen during the day of the update?. As of today I still have no updates since Feb 12th. Hoping for a miracle
No, the system has to release the refund with an 846 code which will post to your transcript before the refund is released usually 3 business days ahead of time. What was the date of the CP05 notice? 2/12? Either way it states there going to need up to 60 days.
I have the 570 code with a 3/11 date and the 971 code with a 3/18 date both reflect a zero dollar amount. I assume I just have to wait. I have not received a notice - what do these dates mean?

My cycle is 05, I have 570 and 971 codes. My dates are exactly the same as your example. Odd that my transcript has this info since at least 3/.6/24.I have no letter (although I did talk with an IRS agent and it is a CP05 notice). Still waiting........
i did mine on feb 5th and still shows N/A on transcript. still shows processing too after verifying myself in person in the irs office. still waiting on refund to this day
Same! I talked to a tax advocate and they said whatever date is on your notice expect up to 120 days before anybody can do something if no refund has been issued and no other notices have been sent

Return accepted jan 29th, transcrpts have 570 on 3-4 and 971 on 3-11 cycle date 05, still not recieved a letter irs says its a cp05 , checked this morning no movement on transcripts, so annoyed
You should receive the notice on or around 3/11. But all the CP05 notice will say is they need up to 60 days to review the return. Looks like yours was randomly selected for wage or withholding review.
Have received my state refund already . E filed direct deposit federal and state on Feb 5th. Checking transcripts it is showing NA and your return hasn’t been processed. Have not received any notification from irs in mail. Have verified id just in case on line using I.d me
You can all the IRS and see if they will tell you what might be the reason for the 810 refund freeze. If it's ID verification you can schedule an in person appointment to verify - otherwise you will need to wait it out. Also most returns are processed within 21 days so the IRS will also tell you that you are within the normal waiting period.
@Syeda.K - No. People who are getting their refund on 3/13 already see an 846 code. The CP05 simply tells you the IRS is reviewing your return, and it could take them up to 60 days to work on it. Most likely you were selected for a random income verification. You will just need to wait as we mentioned.
I just went online to check my status and after entering my info it said, "We're sorry, Where's My Refund is unavailable right now". Tried calling and it won't even ring. Weird!

I had same problem with mine. until i was introduced to an expert who helped me. i was skeptical at first, but i got my grants and al fixed in just few days. very fast and reliable. Mean while, their system is slow at the moments and cant attend to everyone.
Go to the IRS website and type in your info if you have a online account, then you search for transcripts. It will tell you everything you need to know.

Realistically you should have received it by now. Please check to make sure your bank account information is correct. If you have not received by 3/11 please contact the IRS. If you mailed in the amended return then it will be a papercheck and you'll need to wait up to 30 days before contacting the IRS.
@@christofffer did you mail in your amended return or E-file it? Because the policy was changed last year when the IRS announced that e-filed amended returns could sign up for direct deposit. I know of a few people who e-filed on there own went thru turbo tax and received there refunds as of to date. I dont know if that could be a better option for 2024. I filed thru h & r on my own. Its been 6 weeks since ive fiked andim still in 152 code. So i called. Come to fins out i need to verify who i am. But website does not specify that to tell me i need a letter to move forward. And i have not as of yet received a letter to continue the "processing". If i hadnt called i would still be in limbo thinking it's because of lack of staff. Tried to go in perwon but you need yo make appt and the earliest is 4/1?!!¡ Imma take my chance to see if it comes in the mail first. That's ridiculousness!!!! Interesting. Yes a lot of people experiencing delays due to the need to verify ID. Thank you for sharing. As for the best way to file. . I do not endorse Turbo or any other company that charges to file your taxes. Because there are legitimate options available for free that most people qualify for even those claiming 1099 income.

Actually I've used TurboTax this year compared to the other years and I have an ID me account. Turbo predicted my deposit date 3/13/24 and my transcript says 3/13/24. So hopefully this is true.
@mightymusicent9681 - I suspect you may need to verify your Identity. It happened with another viewer who had the 810 code with a 2/8/24 date also. They never received any letters and only found out by calling the IRS. They ended up setting an in-person appointment and verifying and saw an update on their transcript in about a week. You may want to call them to see if this is the cause.
