I like the new system a lot! From my experience in the 24 Wrangler, it felt quick, responsive and looks super clear and bright. “Aleska, take me to Moab.”
I’ll definitely be curious to see if these can be retrofitted onto previous model years. That wireless feature is huge. Also, I can confirm that recording with UConnect 5 is a thing. I picked up a TRX a few weeks ago, and when I flip the rear view mirror to digital mode, it has the option to record.
Your enthusiasm and excitement on the 24 is classic lol like a kid in the candy store 😂 oh yea ,deep dive the Rubicon X , I'm curious to what's all on that trim ??
I hadnt thought about the Roll Cage grab bars with the new airbags... hrmm. They work great on my JK, so hopefully an 'airbag friendly' version comes out soon cause I'll miss those quite a lot.
We had a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited with the new Uconnect5. We couldn't take it; it was glitchy as a mofork. So we traded it back in after only 6 months. Pull up some videos of the guy with a new Wagoneer and his problems with Uconnect5.
My dealer got a Sahara in and my salesman let me play with it and test drive it. We have played with the Alpine system in it too. I’m pretty sure I sold a Jeep that day, to my salesman. Great video as you showed more stuff than I played with. I’ll be happy when mine gets here.
Given this refresh being so late in the model year life of the JL, how many years do you think are left before the JL is replaced with an entirely new model?
2:35 there is X button on the right top corner, but unfortunately that light hid that button. There should be on in the white corner. I believe you already have figured that out,.
Awesome video. Looking forward to getting some hands-on soon. Definitely like the responsiveness of the system. The interior changes are nice to see as well.
Hi! Thank you for your time/effort on these videos. Do you know if the Uconnect 5 can be upgraded to the Uconnect 5 Nav after purchase? Or are they two different hardware systems? Can you add aftermarket cameras that can be connected to the Uconnect system? To have it show up on the screen?
Overall seems like a nice upgrade to a more luxurious vehicle, but still extremely off road capable for those that wheel. The redesigned & hidden hardtop wiring storage is much needed, when we have the soft top on my wife’s ‘21 Willys and it’s folded all the way down it catches on the connector and often pulls it out with its holder.
Why is the stitching mixed? Red stitching on the steering wheel and seats, but different stitching on the grab handle and the top dash trim? - I've been holding out for a 24 392, but the more reviews I see on the interior, I'm getting a bit more skeptical. Other reviews are showing quality issues on the interior.
Do you know if it has the tire fill alert? I previously owned a JK and I heard that the JLs have that. Don’t know if that’s true but wondering if the 2024 has it
Screen is cool, but personally I prefer the previous dash and air vents. Cool to see everything in a video though. My 24 grill should be here this week so we’ll see how I like that
I have a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and I'm learning everything. It is a little different than my previous 2016. Thanks for what you do. @@DIRTROADCRED

I hope Jeep redesigned the sunvisors, I have replaced 3 in 2 1/2 years. and they are currently on National backorder. I also would have prefered less tech and had lockers on all trim models.
Three weeks into my 24 Wrangler Willys and I'm finding my UConnect is constantly cutting out when listening to music. I wonder if there is already an update for it?
I wonder if there will be widescreen cameras available from the aftermarket. That 12.3" screen turns into around a 6" screen. That would have looked incredible if the cameras put out the widescreen format.
Soooo, no more aftermarket grab handles??…. Not sure if I like the center speaker design, will have to see in person? OlllllllO Knocked this out of the park!👍
The wide screen isn't as huge a positive as it probably to others, but it is better. I love the customization options, though. Bugs me that on my '22 I can't prioritize the icons I use most(other than the bottom; that's nice) on the first page. Thanks for the vid! Good luck with the partner deal! PS: I prefer "diminning". :)
Love this video! I still have concerns with Uconnect 5 though. It definitely still has its issues but I’m curious to see if being integrated into the dash would help with the cold weather issues it has like on the compass and other models. Those usually have the back half of the radio exposed and when cold UC 5 has issues with it
My Sport S Gladiator has the black steering wheel bezel and agree its way better than the silver one. Also any info on when the new grill may be available to buy? Would love to have the black one for my my Nacho.
I like the functionality but still not sold on the look of it. Looks too slapped or bolted on idk. It's like the design doesn't work with the rest of the dash.
@@DIRTROADCRED That sucks! They have multiple passengers settings in Uconnect but no seat memory. I loved this video by the way! Best one out for the Uconnect system.
Cool video matt thanks for showcasing the new 2024. My question to you is… is it worth to get the new 392 2024 insted of the previous model ? Since the 2021 and 2022 is going to run for less money. Is the new screen and sound deading worth it ?
Lol. If it wasn't for you and your side kicks info. My hubby wouldn't be thinking of just buying a new jeep to adding mods. So in 6 months or so. I may have a new 2024 jeep willys. 🎉 I will share pics after I add all my mods to it.
I went to the DC website and they had several 23 392's available, I checked the other day and nothing now😲 I guess people decided they would rather have a 23 over a 24 after all.
I feel like they just slapped the Cherokees center dash in there, like if there was extra parts floating around. It needs the circular ac vents just doesn’t look right
On some screens I love the extra real estate, but then others it looks like it's too densely packed with information on the screen. It doesn't seem as easy to use as the uconnect4 in my 8.4 is way easier to use. And the dash seems chunky compared to how the current dash looks, so I'm not too jazzed about the refresh. That grill though I kind of want on my JL.
Looking forward to the rubicon and rubicon x model video. I have been chatting with Lindsay from Dan Cummins. Reached out through the affiliate program. Waiting to see if any new color drops!
Im trying to to find someone who can answer this question if you or anyone in the comments can tell me if I can get this new infotainment system on my old model
Unconnect 5 is still problematic. Owner of a 70k custom ordered Jeep High Altitude. Issues- wireless car play disconnects and you have to delete and reinstall the bt connection. Sometimes I can’t control the volume on anything, phone, manual control. Better than the last jeep I had with the blue screen of death when backing up and the audio that skips.
For sure. We’ve reset ours it seems to always solve the problem How to Restart Uconnect 5 in your 2024 Jeep Wrangler or 2024 Jeep Gladiator ru-vid.combY0AdrI9xFU?feature=share
I don't like the look or grab handles that wrap the roll cage. I got some washers, painted them black and used existing screws to mount my grab handles. Now you are probably SOL for the sun shades that use bungee straps
I like the newer style dash panels for the Rubicon, and Uconnect5 is long overdue in a Wrangler. I still don't care for the screen, looks forced and clunky. Next model Wrangler will have to redesign the HVAC system to incorporate the screen better. A pillar redesign is for the new side curtain air bags.
All I need to know is what is the minimum trim 2dr we can buy with the power adjustable memory driver seat. Can we just buy the seat? Please Jeep! I am 6'5, my wife is 5'2. I need that seat or its no go. You will gain a whole 'nother class of G wagon mom wannabes and very happy husbands if you give us that power seat everywhere as an option!
Y'all talked about all sorts of stuff we're wondering. Great job. I just had a scary thought though: Jeep states that all vehicles will be electrified by 2025. I hope that means every model will have a electric OPTION. But does that mean the naturally asperated V6 will be gone? I plan to order a stick V6 late next year, so it might be a 2025 by the time it comes out! Oh no! I don't want electric motors! Just a good 'ol Pentastar V6. 😅 I guess we'll see .. hopefully they don't force electric on folks. They'd have to get rid of the 392 since there probably ain't room for all that extra.
time will tell if it's reliable, figure after the multiple class action lawsuits against them for the constant broken uconnect with no permanent fix, it was really only a matter of time till they tried to fix it..
I'm an old guy. I've never had an infotainment screen or backup camera. Two weeks ago I bought a 2024 Wrangler 4Dr. Right away you lost me. You move/point click way too fast for this old guy.
That new lcd screen ruins the Jeep interior lines and protrudes too far. Bigger screen is not more innovative. I prefer round air vents for a reason. What were they thinking? but that's just my opinion.
Eh… looks like it was transplanted from another vehicle, and out of place in a Wrangler. I’m not a fan of the entire dash pushing out further, that’s how how it was designed to look…
