Yayyy I am glad to hear you are doing better! 🤞🏼 I look forward to more language videos! I agree about Duolingo, I really only like it for dabbling but I would have a hard time quitting that streak too! 😮
thank you!!!!! you’re so right about duolingo and dabbling - i like the story function but that’s about it. i loved your goals video! can’t wait to see what you get up to this year!
Hey, the good thing about that 17 minutes in German is that it'll be easy to beat this year 😂Even though those 20-ish hours weren't what you were hoping for, it's still 20 more hours of exposure to those languages that you didn't have last year ☺ best of luck in the new year!
Hi Katherine (I'm sorry if I miswrote your name) how are you? My name is Jonathan I'm from Brazil and I've started learning English in 2017 by myself, I already knew Portuguese and Spanish and in 2021 I've started learning Russian and in 2019 I've started learning French German Italian but I've stopped to focus in Russian. I'm watching your videos to practice my listening skills in English. But in 2024, probably I'll go back learning French and German.
hi jonathan! that is so cool!! how is russian going? i’m glad that i can provide english listening for you. thank you for your comment, i hope you have a wonderful new year!
Also a recommendation from me, I use Knowt now instead of quizlet bc I Knowt don’t have a subscription like quizlet do so you still get the cool features just with ads on the side of the webpage like quizlet used to do! (And quizlet decks are transferable so you don’t have to remake them all over again!)
I was kinda waiting for the part where we found out how Tchuss was both goodbye and cute, hehe. In recent years I have also learnt that sometimes hobbies do need to be put aside, no matter how committed we are. But it sucks when that happens. So Im glad you're doing better and hoping that your language learning continues and gives you all the satisfaction in 2024 :)
Heeey! Happy language learning. If you’re looking for some German help through YT, I’d love to hear your opinion on my learning content. As you enjoy learning by reading, my german short stories (listen + read) may be helpful for you. Very excited hearing from you 🥰🇩🇪 Viel Erfolg 🥳
@@natesempire2143 I learned English with a series of books written in both, English and Spanish. I read those books many times in 10 months. This + a native speaker as study buddy would be absolutly the best way to learn English, Spanish and many other languages that use the alphabet as writing system, in my opinion.
