2024 Lexus TX Review 

Can you tell me how you are enjoying your new TX? Looked at them today at a dealership and consider it over my QX80.

I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s very quiet, the additional horsepower, and electric motors add significantly to the experience, and their rear wheel steering is fantastic when maneuvering tight areas, like a U-turn, or in parking lots. While I have no issue with the doorhandles, it does confound people the first time they get in or out. The seat bolstering is fine for me, but my wife does find the seats to be more firm or narrow than she’d prefer. I like split armrest, where I added a plexiglass garbage receptacle. The split makes it easier to access without interrupting a passenger who may have their arm there. Unlike many other cars, the cargo area may not have a cigarette lighter style 12 V, as most are replaced with a household style plug-in. this leaves the only cigarette style typical being in the front cubby below the wireless charging. This model doesn’t have extendable under thigh seats , as some other configurations may. Also, compared to other models, the lumbar is only two way, not four-way adjustable. Compared to other vehicles, the HVAC is good, and each row has foot and upper/head vents. I hope this helps, if you have other specific questions, feel free to respond.

One more question, I watched a video where it was mentioned that the ambient lighting in the interior is low and leaves for a dark interior at night. Is that true? I now have to wear reading glasses and at night is more difficult for me to see!

@@CCBloom1 Interesting. You can customize the brightness for the full interior ambient lighting, or split it into 3 zones (I think) and then customize each of those separately. I generally find it to be too bright when driving in the dark and opt to dial it down mostly, or entirely when driving in the dark. My TX actually is having an issue with the ambient light on the passenger side dash, it does not turn on at all (need to have it fixed under warranty). That said, the lighting is similar or identical to the 23 RX and I had that for about 18k miles. For driving in the dark, I typically dim the gauge cluster light using the buttons to the left of the gauge cluster and this dims the ambient light proportionately. Once you hit the lowest level, it turns off any ambient light. If I am driving on the highway or where there is little or no street lights (at night) I also turn off the infotainment screen (still runs, just no display) if not just dimming the light to its lowest setting. I do not think you’ll find there interior light to be inadequate.

The Seqouia Capstone and Platinum are such underrated choices and I’d consider them true luxury SUVs. You should def get one if you like it.

sequoia is Ladder frame suv but TX is monoque SUV, so if you want more comfortible drive then chose TX but if you to go offroad then chose sequoia ,

That 500H is closer to 85K out the door after sales tax and fees.

Totally agree. The TX definitely has the edge on gas mileage, but it’s overall pretty bland looking when compared to the MDX.

That is what I thought. I am 6’4” and there is no way I was getting in that MDX third row. Fit in the TX third row with little problem.

@Boston37PB Yeah, that's usually the difference between most "midsize luxury" and "full size luxury" crossovers. While none of them are made for people closer to 7 feet, full-size usually means average and slightly taller adults can fit in those third rows. Mid-size usually means slightly below average to shorter teens, and kids can fit in those third rows.

@@normanli7085 exactly. on another review I saw people comparing the TX to a BMW X5 and why would I get a TX when the X5 is the same price (and it isn’t as luxurious). I was like uhhh no, the TX is the same size as an X7 and the same price as an X5. So more value in my opinion.

did you even watch the video? there are 3 powertrains... the 500h is a regular hybrid.

I am 6’4” and fit in the 3rd row with the 2nd row seat back. The 3rd row seats recline.

it's nothing to the thrilling, but I I think the design for age well, which goes well for resale value

@@jp23baz33 no I do. It could be the best selling vehicle in the history of human kind and still be dead on arrival in the segment compared to the GV80 CX90 Grand Cherokee L Aviator Q7, MDX, telluride, palisade, xt6, qx60, etc etc etc

No doubt! This much ugly as a hard sell. Even for blind people. I hear it will be coming with the recall Notice in the glove compartment lol!
