Long drives would still be a problem till Charging Infra developes and the number of chargers increase by leaps and bounds. Thanks for bringing such reviews.
Hey I have 2 XUV400 and Getting 360km in Highway and 280 to 300 in city. All in Fast and Fearless mode only. EVs need a really different driving style. After getting the car first 2 months I was only getting 250km range but later now after a year I have 360km highest achived range on highways and 280 to 300km in city and with Fast and Fearless only. And my second car the new model like shown in the Vedio perform the same.😃
My Nexon EV Max gives me 300 km with 10% battery remaining ...runs at 28 km/wh with AC always on at 23 degree ..I have done 10000 kms ..No hassles any whatsover ...And I will buy it any day over the XUV 400
Gaurav bhai....mai aapka mureed ho gaya hoon...jis tareeke se [ considering practical aspects] aap range test analysis karte hain ,aisa maine kahin aur nahin dekha. Itni lambi rides me raat aur din jaagte hue har ek test karte hue result batana ....waah kya baat hai. Thanks you sir🙏
No matter what any company may clam, the math is simple for the range in ev's... when we drive at 100 Kmh and AC is 100% on and the elevation is plain, the most efficient EV's in the world (Like Tesla Model 3 or Lucid) would give a range of about 6.7Kms per KwH. My Nexon EV MAX, driven in the same condition gives me about 260KMs which translates to 6.5Kms per KwH. This is pretty efficient considering it to be a crossover SUV.. This XUV 400 getting 230-240 KMs may be because of the way the driver had accelerated to get to the speed of 70 or 80. For any aspirant of Indian EV's, most of our EV's are efficient and we can expect the following figures - Speed -90 to100 : Range - 6.5 Kms per KwH Speed - 70 to 80 : Range - 7 Kms per KwH Speed - Around 60 : Range - 7.5 Kms per KwH About the New XUV400 It's good that they have upgraded their features and reduced the price. But still there is one major flaw with this EV. THAT IS ITS BATTERY CHEMISTRY. The heart of any EV is its battery. It's the single most expensive component of an EV. Mahindra still uses NMC batteries which suffers from the following two set backs - 1. Limitation to charge to 100% all the time 2. Less tha half to 1/3rd number of charge cycles compared to LFP batteries (used in Tata, MG or BYD) This would determine the longevity of the battery and thus reduce the ownership costs for the customers Im eagerly waiting for Mahindra to upgrade to LFP and then we would have a healthy competition :)
I hope this is one off case but 220-230 at 70-80 KMPH at moderate temperature is too low. It will be difficult for it to compete with Nexon on this range. I get close to 350 KMs with New Nexon LR variant in these parameters.
@@rishabhkumar8360 small in size and hence smaller are their batteries. Their power to weight ratios are all almost same that's why all are around 200-300 in range
@@sahilroy893 Test was done by gaadiwadi itself. Its in RU-vid. My cousin has nexon ev max 2022 model. He gets 300+ range on highways. He drives mostly in eco mode. His nexon has clocked 26000kms
Mahindra and BYD working on better battery pack then this. We can expect new version of xuv400 till July 2024. I think this is the reason behind price cut by Mahindra. After newer battery pack range and life cycle of battery pack is going to improve.
its already too much effort in driving for such long hours with 2 ppl, but he did so for us just to show how much range we can get in similar conditions. If you're smart enough you can make an educated guess what's the range you'll get with 5 passangers in this car.
@@Papa.y0gi I thought this will help uneducated people as well. Just gave as a suggestion for future videos. I never meant to do it on same car. Anyhow thanks for responding.
One of the finest test ❤🎉😊 explained very well...thank u for that...mahindra needa to improve a lot...w minimum of 350 real world range is required for a indian family to invest that much amount of money 💰
Sir You did best efforts to make this video for your Subscribers. I like my best EV cars all the time is XUV400 and today after watching your video i impressed with your best content ❤❤ keep it up sir I subscribed you. Thank you 🙏
Mahi dra claims the range of 452 km per charge and as we see it gave 220-240. Almost half of the claimed range. And sir didn't hesitate to claim it better over Nexon. Only the size is bigger than Nexon and nothing else neither feature nor looks nor range
Thats is good insight on the battery mileage. It would be nice to see what happens when the battery goes to "0%". does the car stop or is there a reserve mode to driver a few more km.
🌟Unexpected Surprise From Mahindra😍 Literally Almost 3L Price Drop, With Features & Safety Addition......Now The XUV 400 EV Become More Desirable & Value Offering Than Its Direct Rival Nexon EV......XUV 400 EV Already Had Size & Space Advantages & Now It Has Almost 3L Price Advantage Too😍👍
So the EV playground depends on per unit charging rate from different changing stations. Are they trying to match the fuel prices ? Because there will be less tax collected as thedemand for ICE lessens. Any idea how charging stations decide the rate per unit ?~ ₹.40 seems too much high as personal charger is far more less than it.
0 to 80% charge it does in 30 mins on a 50 or 60kW charger. And when in 0 to 80% it does 120km range in just 15 mins of charging on 50kW or above charger. I love it❤
A perfect explanation of every detail of the newly launched xuv400 top variant. Definitely worthwhile to see your review before deciding to purchase a nexon or mahindra EV variant. My only query is what was the company's original mileage on a full charge. If it is somewhere between 400 to 450 Kms then sir the actual range for this top variant is only 275 why is it so. kindly also clarify whether the same mileage is possible if all 4 members of the family are on board.
Hello sir, do you have any idea regarding fortuner mild hybrid diesel , when it will be coming to india. Worth to wait for it or to book existing model within 3- 4 months.
Nexon ev have better range for sure, i have max varient with 60-70 maintained avg. speed my car returns around 300-320 real life range where as this is just returning around 230 km's. Plus interior of nexon feels more plush compared to xuv400
The problem is this is wirh just ine or. Two passengers, with full load rhe range gets affected , thata why Nexon is the pure delight and more economical
Commercial charge cost and hybrid car cost will be equal in such long journey right? Charging at home will cost 1rs else it can go up to 5.5 same as hyryder strong hybrid
I wonder if Mahindra will give option to upgrade old xuv 300 dash board to new 10.25 in display and new Instrument cluster in the future ... FINGERS CROSSED🤞
Li ion battery performance in cars depends on temperature. The higher the temperature, the more range it gives. This range test is conducted on very low temperature. That's why it is giving lower than expected range for this car and battery size. Also AC is used despite the lower temperature. In India, Northern states has this kind of low temperature during two months December and January only. So we can expect 280 kms range from this car when the temperature is normal or higher. You can also confirm from owners of XUV400 who has used their cars extensively. And there are many videos on RU-vid that shows the effect of temperature on Li ion batteries in cars.
This effect is very minimal in lfp cells which tata and other ev industry uses. Also i lion has very less cell life than lfp. Mahindra is working on changing to lfp cells soon.
Agar 10kw solar system ke sath esko charge karege to phir to free me chalegi. Sooraj ki dhup se bijli bnao aur us bijli se ghar ka load chalao aur car scooty bike cycle bhi charge karo
1100 mein car charge hui aur chali 220 km. That means per km Rs.5/- hain. Meri Creta ka tank 4000 mein full hota hai aur 950km chalti hai. That means Rs.4.5/-. Matlab electric cars mehngi bhi jyada hain aur paise bhi jyada khaati hain
XUV 4OO KA NEW LOOK AWESOME HAI AUR RANG BHI ACHHI HAI ..... PRIZE TO UNEXPECTED HAI... AUR GAURAV SIR APKA MILEAGE TEST VIDEO DEKH KAR TO KISI KE BHI DOUBTS EASILY CLEAR HO JAYEGE 😊
Full led Lamp is a miss. I wish they release 4xo ev next year, im definitely considering it. Commercial charger is too expensive. 5 rupees per km is loot comapared to 1.5 rupees on home charger. Thats more than 3x expensive! I know its faster, but 3 hours is still a lot of time, this is basically almost as expensive as a petrol car, while being so expemsive. They also need to release a 50kwh battery pack option so that 300km real world at one go is possible.
mahindra ka sunne mein acch lagte hain, Service center jao tub pata chalege.... adrenox aur touch screen kabhi theek se nahin chalte. Navigation wagere bhi theek nahin chalte. RU-vidr logno ko paise milte hain aur company se invitation so kuch bhi sahi-sahi batane mein sankoch karte hain. Asliyat mein yeh promotion hain mostly.....
Why does no one talk about the kind of battery setup on the car. The life and performance of battery depends on how you take care of it with right charging habits etc. and that changes with the type of battery.
