@@jackbuendgen389he sure is! Funny how he gave Mathews a 4/5 on speed that shoot 15 FPS slow lol. Then “took into consideration they have 80% mods” and then gave them credit for an additional 4-5 fps. Hoyt has 80% Letoff on their cams. He never took that into consideration. Only for Mathews

@@connor_bohnts it’s a speed test! You can’t give 1 company a make belief additional 4 fps for Letoff and not do it for the other company in order to make 1 company look better. I own a VTM and a RX/8 and a V3X. I know all about the difference. Going from 80-85% on a Hoyt and you will not even notice it regarding DL. Mathews always measured 1/2 long but you never see him factor that in. The Mathews was very far off it’s IBO and should not get a 4/5. Not saying it’s a bad bow but he should be honest.

11 fps off while giving them the free 4fps even though the parts aren’t available should have been a 3 if you ask me. But it’s not my channel. I think it’s pretty clear that’s being extra generous when on any other bow you wouldn’t have finagled yourself into justifying the misrepresentation. Even with 4fps being given for a part that’s not available it was still outside of your 10 fps range but you gave them a free excuse by saying it’s still fast for the feel 😂 either be objective or don’t come up with a scoring system. That’s why people are mad. There is clearly some sort of difference between manufacturers or you would say the same things about Mathew’s that you critique on every other manufacturer

Now rates do nothing because most people that buy one is gonna leave a 5 star. If they don’t then they won’t review. Then additionally everyone is different in what feels good. Some people say the lift isn’t smooths I think it’s draw is smoother yet has a bit heavier feel than all others. To the point I ordered 80# mods because 70# mods was like butter coming back. I personally have never been a big fan everyone calling people fanboys though. Most people have never talked to people that’s a part of the company’s. Mathews is the only manufacturer that will make you feel like family while they brake it off inside you attempting to get you to buy a bow. Hoyt bowtech they don’t even use ky before they rape your wallet.

How so? Price only went up $30 over last year and my local shop doesn’t charge extra for the other colors. I do agree prices are ridiculous, but it’s all manufacturers these days. This bow with tune-ability and features that Bowtech has would have been the craziest hunting bow to hit the market. The hype is cool and the lightness and speed sure but id almost sacrifice that to have the features and tune-ability to do myself without a whole press and draw board and shop. Only thing i hear is bowtechs servings and cables arent durable at all which is a little scary

The factory strings/cables on my Bowtech SS34 were garbage, the serving on the cables separated in just a few shots. I replaced them with Catfish Custom strings/cables and those have been perfect. Outside of the string/cable issue, my SS34 is easily the best bow I have shot in a very long time, and I have had all of the Hoyts, Mathews, etc. the past few years. The deadlock cam system on Bowtech is a feature that elevates Bowtech in a very big way.

I’ll admit this may be the quietest bow on the market, which does make it a joy to shoot. The draw cycle is very linear, it feels like 70# all the way till it drops into the slot, whereas my pse tapers off towards the end. Not better just different. But With a 332.66 average fps I’ll keep my 4 yo evo nxt that’s rated at 329 and ACTUALLY shoots 329 at 30/70/350. At best I’d pick up 4-5 fps not worth the $1400 price tag imo.

I think you really wanted to give this bow all the points you could. True average of those 3 shots was closer to 332, not 333. Even if you give it an imaginary 4fps, thats still well below your own benchmark of no less than 10fps slow. Have you ever given a bow extra speed in a review based on a hypothetical? Id be curious to see what it actually does at 80% letoff. Regardless, nice review and looks like a solid option!

Has nothing to do with that. IBO speed testing is not based on the criteria he is using. IBO speed tests are done with 80 lbs draw weight, 400 grain arrow, and there is no draw length max. So in my opinion it’s a fictional number for most of us. What he is testing against is ATA speeds. Mathews doesn’t publish the ATA speeds which is something that I don’t understand because everyone assumes that they are lying, they aren’t but what they are telling us is not a realistic setup for 99% of us.

The reason people hate on Mathews isn't because they're bad bows, they're excellent. It's the "fandom ruins everything" mentality. Same reason a lot of people hate Glocks and Milwaukee tools. I like Mathews bows. I've shot a couple older models and liked them but I have two friends that have them and it doesn't matter what you shoot, if it's not a Mathews it's a POS and belongs in the trash. They've done enough innovation with this one to make me consider one for the first time, although the cost of the accessories still may have me leaning towards the Hoyt.

Dude i hear that. But you get what you want dont worry about the internet tribalism, that stuffs gay anyways. The accessory price really isnt that difference except the bridgelock stabilizer. Its about 100 bucks more, after you buy that youre done. I was going to buy an Alpha X but this Lift bow is ridiculous.

Hey Brother. Another awesome bow review for the best bow reviewer on the internet. I've always wanted a Mathews, but I can never afford one. And I won't be getting this one anytime soon. It is a badass bow for sure. Really appreciate you doing such in depth testing and holding the companies to their word. I'll see you on the 33" video.

Hello. Oh yeah. I totally agree. I'm looking at a couple of Mathews that are a couple years old. Where the person had 2 bows already, then upgraded. And are now selling their extra bow. I have 2 bows right now. A 2007 Diamond Triumph, that I bought in 2018, and I just bought a brand new 2022 Bear Legit at the beginning of this year. I'm now wishing I would have waited on the Bear purchase and saved for a better bow. It's a good bow, don't get me wrong, but it lacks alot of features that the flagship bows have. I'll get a flagship bow one day. I appreciate the advice. Thanks.

Exactly so spend your cash at the hair and nail salon. And that's an impressive draw weight for a woman. You must work out a ton. To bad there's not much of anything you can do being born so petite about your draw length. Nice to see woman so involved in the archery game. You go get emm girl !!

Now that I changed jobs so I can go back to finish out a degree, and am broke as hell, Mathews drops this........... are you fuggin' serious Mathews.... 😐

My only comment back to Mathews engineers when they say “we can build an aluminum bow better than a carbon bow” is, “Wake up. The customer is asking for a carbon bow from Mathews. Carbon bows aren’t a fad. There are a LOT of customers who would LOVE to have a choice of a Mathews carbon bow. And you are telling them to go buy a Hoyt or Bow Tech or PSE or Elite.” I’m in sales, too. And one rule of thumb I always use is to ask myself “what would my competition think of this strategy?” So I ask you, what would Hoyt and the other carbon bow manufacturers think if Mathews came out with an incredible carbon bow? Would they be all happy, or would it give them heartburn and cold sweats? Yeah, I bet the latter, too. So come on! Let’s see your best carbon bow, Mathews! Carbon is just plain cool for a lot of us, and we know you can do it. Look at those carbon guitars you make. You’re basically telling the top of the market bow buyers, who couldn’t care less about a price difference, to pound sand. How is that a good business decision? Best of luck to you. Hope you offer me a carbon bow someday.

Few things 30” draw and 70 pounds is not ibo. Put in 80% left off and 80lb mods at max draw. There is your ibo setup. 30”-70# is ata speed test. It’s a mistaken assumption that thes bows ibo on 30-70 because that used to be the common top end. It’s no longer the truth. Ibo means max everywhere. I’ve personally had talks to companies directly about it. Aside from that it’s plenty fast. Grip gripe is from those that just simply can’t and I mean can’t shoot a rounded grip due to their own issue. It’s a easy and cheap fix all the way down to free. Just pull it off honestly or shoot side plates that mathews makes. I do not count points off for options available or if something is for sure offered through the manufacturer of a product. To each their own. I shot 3 bow techs today. 4 hoyts and the 29.5 mathews. I still know which on I bought and the bottomlands camo and granite limbs will be here in Marchish. But to end it ibo isn’t regulated, ata is so either everyone needs to advertise ata or everyone needs to learn that ibo is max effort from the bow. I’ll put money that at 80 lb and 80% max draw the bow hits 348 to 350

My Bowtech RPM 360 is the smoothest-drawing speed bow I have ever had the pleasure of owning. At 26.5" draw length (27" measured), 64#, it shoots my 385 grain arrows at 285 FPS. The draw cycle is smooth as all get-out, and the way I have it set up at 85% let-off, I can practically hold it forever.

Pretty wild to charge $1330 for an aluminum bow. Its cool though, they're stabilizers are $250 and so is the quiver. The differences year to year better start gerring bogger to justify those costs

I wish I could justify trading in my VXR 28 whitetail bow for this, but I just can't yet.. my draw length is at 29.5", the 28 ata is an aggressive af string angle but it works soooo damn well for slaying deer and it manuevers in the tree stand so well. I could trade in my target bow v3 31 @60#dw, but then I'd be giving up some ata and that doesn't make sense either! Someone give some input to change my mind here lol but my conclusion is that pretty much any mathews bow you're shooting is going to be hard to get ride of!!!

I'm getting rid of my vxr28. I bought that andN Obsession fx30 the same year. Keeping the fx30 gone is the vxr and the lift is filling its place. Last leaf ghost riser red cams red black twist strings 65lbs 28" 350grain arrow 324 fps from my fx30. Sick looking ,speeds and shootability I love my obsession fx30. That's what I hunted with this fall 2 doe and a small buck. I let my kid use the vxr28 last 2 years. But I think I'll be hunting with the lift next year !!

V3 was meh. Longer Ata gives you a smoother draw. Upgrade bro! Or find a mathews traverse out there if you like a little heavier bow. Traverse was one of the better ones in a long time without the switch mods it was a much smoother bow

Very sketchy to press these bows with that limb angle. I felt like this bow with the 80% mods had zero valley and a spongy back wall.....Anyone else have this experience or just me? Wish these videos had a creep test of some sort.
