A small trip to Maui. Its whale migration season from November to April but the peak is in February. We were able to see whales jumping out of the water (breaching) from our hotel balcony. While also catching a rarely seen by human event of Whale Tail Sailing with a baby calf. If we weren't on the beach we were finding great food places to try and the poké is amazing, even the ones from Costco was good! Restaurant links are below the Chapters section of the description.
We went not only to enjoy some time on Maui but to also to help the locals and the economy with our dollars where we could. The city of Lahaina has gone through a lot with the recent fire that destroyed or affected so many homes, businesses, families and lives. There are many who are still living in tents on the beach and others working and trying to keep it together. If you can't go then donate to various organizations such as the red cross to help with the relief effort. Any help you can provide with go a long way to helping the people of Lahaina and Maui recover.
