2024 Mazda CX-90: This Is A Huge Middle Finger To Luxury SUVs Everywhere 

This vehicle is absolutely stunning. Mazda's design language is really unique and good in my opinion.

Personally I think the in-line 6 with the rwd layout are the two best selling points over the competition. The In-line 6 has a perfect balance : very smooth operation.

i have been watching many reviewers take of the San Francisco release of earlier this week, and many have said the driving dynamics to forget about all other competitors as hands down, the cx-90 is the best in the price range and some thought the cost would be $10 to $15k more... this was on the high output engine inline 6, the 340 hp with 369 torque. Also the good thing is that one could use regular instead of premium but of course sacrifice some hp, but the torque figures remain the same !

You can get one pretty well equipped out the door for $45k. Nothing compares for the price. Nothing. The engine and transmission are superb. Well beyond anything in its price range. You would need to spend $60k~$70 to get something better.

I absolutely LOVE Mazdas! My next new car is going to be the CX-90.

6:20 should be touch screen in Android auto or Apple Carplay. Just not the native system.

Yup similar key fob of my cx 30 I wish it come remote start on the key fob but Mazda doesn’t have cvt transmission on there vehicle I like it and maybe they could last longer

Saw a lot of people here trying to decide between the telluride, Highlander and the CX-90. It’s simple, if interior space is your priority, CX-90 would lose every time, as it was never designed to be a minivan alternative. But if you care about design, craftsmanship, driving dynamics, and how all of them come together as a whole, it would literally be an insult to even compare the CX-90 to the highlander, telluride, or even the MDX. Nobody in their right mind, given they know at least a little bit about cars, would compare a RWD inline-6 turbo setup to a bunch of FWD turbo 4 and V6 cars and ask which is better - they are not even in the same league. Can’t believe we are still having this conversation…

I am going to add the CX-90 to my growing Mazda family which includes a 2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring and a 2022 Mazda MX-5 RF. Both are manuals, but I will have to sacrifice my affection for the Mazda 6 speed manual for the CX-90's 8 speed automatic. If they ever offered a manual turbo Mazda 3, I'd get one of them too.

I just test drove this thing today. Great looking, soaks up road bumps pretty well for the wheel size. Also interior feels and looks great, although i did not get much time to play with the instrument cluster and infotainment. With all the positives in mind, i noticed one big and one subjective flaw. If you are taller than 6 foot (i am 6' 4"), i am pretty sure you will hate the driver seat. I also weigh 220 lbs, so not too bulky. The middle cluster to the door panel width is too narrow! There is no way to relax the legs a bit. It forces you to sit lets say properly and straight. Good for short trips, horrible for anything longer than 1 hr. This is a big bummer for me. 2nd, the top engine is too loud in the cabin especially when being aggressive with the pedal, and also it is not as torque rich as the spec claims. It will be hard to get better than say 6.5 second 0-60 on a regular basis, although i did not mesure it. Anyways maybe it needs some breaking in. The latter is bot that big of a deal to me personally, but the former is a deal breaker. Anyone else experience this?

Great price point. The only thing that I am not a fan of is it's bubbly look. I like a bit more angles, especially to the front end, like the CX9. I disagree with the description thats it's muscular looking. More accurate to say puffy/bloated, definitely not muscular. Having said that, at $45 to $50 grand, it is great value.

I sat in it. The vehicle looks great on the screen but up close the shape is very weird. Has Mazda lover and owner of two now. Huge protruding rear and a longer face with not enough beefiness to even up the rear. Imo.

Wish they would offer high output inline 6 on all packages even base one

Forget about toyota and lexus for the price the CX90 is well worth it

In a year or so, all automakers will be building some sort of Inline-6.

The hood design is SIMPLE, not 'simplistic'. 'Simplistic' means something is dumbed down so much as to be meaningless, like a simplistic answer.

Can't get excited about it. Looks like a wagon in this particular spec. The new platform and new I6 is where the real excitement is, the possibilities. A new 6 and Lexus IS were rumored to come from this component set. We will see. The Mazda brand is about to see where their price ceiling is with this thing. I wish them luck.

No middle finger here.... If anything, I'd say it's an appropriately priced, reliable suv. Definitely NOT on the same plain as the high end luxury autos as far as tech, build materials or performance. It's still a step up from Mazda though.

Mazda was my last hope. First the CX50 with stop/start and now this one. Glad I have a 22 CX9 that I’m keeping a long time without the annoying engine cutting off garbage. I know u can turn it off but regardless its horrible.

Idk I’m just not sold on it. Seems like it has a lot of nice features, but im not sold on the looks, especially the front. Also there’s a few annoying things about it. For example, the infotainment screen functions as a touch screen in park but not in motion. Also you cant get a 2nd row bench in any of the higher trim levels. Also the top of the line turbo plus engine is not that fast, I watched several reviewers do a real world 0-60 and timed over 7 seconds, that’s considerably slower than most of its n/a V6 competitors, and nowhere near BMW’s turbo i6 despite having similar power numbers. Id probably just get a Pilot or a CPO bmw/audi and call it a day…

only mazda can lengthen the wheelbase and overall and add no more room, made room to make the hood longer??? I do not get it, is there people who insist on straight 6 - not in america, maybe why a new NA president

I'll believe it when I see it on the road meaning someone payed 50+ K for this. It is unusual to see a v-6 offering but other than that this is a basic car nothing special about it. Should be priced at 40K and 5K more for the top gun version.
