The season starts THIS WEEK! These are my full & complete predictions, from division winners, wildcards, the World Series, MVP, ROY, Cy Young, and more!
How do giants improve by only 1 game by getting rid of all their bad players signing blake snell, jung hoo lee, matt chapman, jorge soler, jordan hicks, murphy, etc
Everyone improved outside of the padres but I still think they are better than the giants. Did you see what the dodger did? Vegas has the giants at 83.5 wins after signing snell. Personally, snell is a bad signing. He’s had two good years. The others have all been below league average. If you are below league average then you are a bad starter. His metrics suggest regression. Chapman has been trending down for awhile now.
After watching what Terry Francona did in Cleveland, I think you are selling short the Council effect with the Cubs. Good managers are worth some wins. Cleveland will be interesting as I expect Cleveland to finish strong this year once Manzardo and DeLauter get called up (that is if Delauter doesn't make opening day roster.). The worry will be the pitching this year. bullpen will start cold because of injuries and worries about the kids having a sophmore slump. Love the channel.
I'm a lifelong Orioles fan and a fan of your roller coaster content, but this was my first time checking out your baseball channel. Let's just say we're off to great start with you picking my O's to win it all! I just watched Burns' debut, and boy does he look worth it.
@@porguinturtle3854it worked in your favor last year with all those road playoff wins lol. As an Astros hater, I was mad when they got the division title on the last day of the season but it worked out pretty well for the Rangers!
The dodgers deferring that much of his contract should be against league rules. You want to talk about competitive balance, allowing players to sign for that much money and then deferring 90% of it just destroys all semblance of competitive balance.
Who actually cares? Any team can do it. However, they are going to be paying for it and having it count against the cap long after he is playing and good luck trying to unload him if you reach the point where you want to go full rebuild.
You do realize that the player had to agree to deferring their salary to a later date, right? The Dodgers couldn’t have deferred the amount of money from Ohtani’s contract without his approval. And every team has the ability to defer contract money - it’s not like the Dodgers are doing something that other teams can’t do.
I am a diehard Orioles fan and I stood by them through the good, the bad, and the ugh-ly...I would love to experience a World Series...the last time they won it, I was born and not yet a fan
I honestly think if Turner and Harper heat up, the Phillies could possibly make a run at the division, but it will be VERY close. That being said, if we do make the playoffs yet again with just over 90 or so wins, I don't think we're beating the Braves a third year in a row. As amazing as that would be, I don't think it will be the case. However, I will say that I think my Phils may be out for blood after being embarrassed by the Diamondbacks last season, so ... watch out! 👀
I don’t even remember the Marlins making the playoffs last year lol We’re seeing a lot of new teams in the World Series lately like the Phillies, Braves, Rangers and Diamondbacks so I’d be down to see the trend continue with Seattle or Baltimore. Not like the NFL where it’s always the Chiefs, Niners, Eagles or Rams
I agree with pretty much all of your picks though I do think Patrick Corbin will win nl cy young this yr he’s gonna have a 5 era but they’ll give it to him cause he will pitch innings and win 20 games
Can very easily lose 100. No pitching. If trout gets injured like he’s done the last 5 years. Plus 45 games against Rangers Astros And Mariners it’s not that hot of take 100 Ls seems more likely than not
@@Dorrizzy88 I don't think so. I think the offence is kinda decent. Not good, but decent. I think starters like Canning, Silseth and Detmers will find their footing. Ron Washington will manage the team better as the season progresses. If we use the right guys at the right times, it's not gonna be that bad. The Angels just haven't done that yet. Hicks should not be starting. Suarez should be kicked. Sandoval needs a therapist. I do think that Canning had bad luck in his start, but at least he threw 5 innings before the pen blew it up.
I’m a twins fan and have been hyper analyzing them them all offseason and while loosing Sony really hurt Lopez has Top 5 Cy young upside and a healthy Correa and Lewis is huge for a team that was carried by their staff last year
@@homerunproductions162you had a lot of fun takes! I think personally the royals were rated really low, and the mariners are really high! But excited to see what happens! Red Sox fan here, I’m hoping for the best but ready for the worst 😂
I heard someone on MLB Network say the Royals are gonna win the central. That's crazy bold for a team that lost well over 100. I guess they could pull an Orioles and win like 30+ more games from one year to the next
@@homerunproductions162the royals are an extremely weird team this year. In a division where a losing record has a chance to win, they could make a push - alternatively though, all the moves they made could just be trade pieces and the rebuild gets pushed back another year. Super interesting stuff, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.
They're one of the most interesting teams this year. Their pitching got significantly better but if they can't score then it doesn't matter much. Soler is a good pickup but he's not a guaranteed stud
@@homerunproductions162Yeah, especially with how inconsistent Soler he has been throughout his career. And personally, I’m not too high on the Snell Signing, mostly because he doesn’t go deep into games and he didn’t pitch in spring training.
As a Braves fan, I love the idea of winning the Division. But the Phillies beating them again in the playoffs? I’m selling that! They don’t want to allow history to repeat itself; especially to a division rival!
@@homerunproductions162 Philly goes to the playoffs twice, doesn’t win a chip but you want us to think they are “clutch?” 🤔 All that talk of them “hungry” to get back to the WS and “finish” the job can be said by every WS loser but we hear this a lot to the perpetual second place team? Braves come to play and will smoke a Philly this year.
As a Royals fan, I dont think they'll win the division. But i dont see them losing much more then 90 games. I see them winning 70 to 77 games. They lost 106 games last year, but they've done a lot to improve.
I have high hopes for the Atlanta Braves to win the NL East title once again! I’m ready to get another World Series championship for the ATL! That should be a warning to other teams who dare try to underestimate my Braves because Atlanta is FULLY STACKED AND FULLY LOADED!
Braves guy here, I don’t see Texas having the hangover. They will get Max and Jake back and the offense is explosive. They won’t be satisfied. Seattle doesn’t have enough offense to hang with the two teams from TX. With the Braves, health and having a non content mentality is the key. No offense to Philadelphia but ATL had no business losing that series last year. They weren’t competitive. They have the talent but they didn’t want to play a gritty series last year. Have to expect to win ugly and go all out.
It's gonna be a tough division, and once you enter the wildcard scrum it's easy to be on the outside looking in. I bet they'll be like the 2023 Mariners
I disagree with you being so low on the Twins. They have the best overall team in the division and had one of the two best starting staffs in the MLB last year. Won 3 playoff games including a series. And the best young hitting core in the Central. Wallner, Lewis, Julien, Jeffers, and Miranda are a deadly young group with Brookes Lee coming up sometime soon.
@@blakeattig5426 Pablo is the true number 1 starter. True Sonny was runner up C y Young, but Pablo is the higher ceiling guy. Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober are great and poised to take another step forward.
Cardinals win the World Series usually I'm pretty sure if they're going to take the NL Central because it's a very weak division and I'm pretty sure they're going to have like a 96 wins and face the Mariners in the World Series
@@homerunproductions162 You have the Dodgers at 1. Braves at 2. Reds at 3. The Phillies are WC1. Cubs are WC2. Padres at WC3. Which means the Dodgers would play the Phillies or the Cubs in the NLDS.
Yeah after thinking about it the Dodgers would end up playing the 4/5 match not the 3/6. I may have flipped the Dodgers and Braves seeding in my head when I did the playoffs. My bad
Putting the Reds in front of the Cubs??? I disagree. Maybe it is just because I am a Cubs fan, but we have a better lineup, rotation, and team in general. I think we win 90 games and the reds end in 2nd. Good video though!
The Twins will repeat as central champs. Too much good hitters to be a 81 win team. Their pitching will be fine. Tigers and Cleveland will be around .500
Same, but I have extremely low standards for my team. I just want to be entertained until football season so just stay in contention til Labor Day and I'll give you a pass
It happens sometimes. 2019 Nats, 2018 Red Sox, 2015 Royals, 2014 Giants, 2013 Red Sox, 2012 Giants just to name a few missed the playoffs the next year.
They're a weird team, most young teams thrive in the 2nd half but they really thrived in the 1st half and almost blew it in the 2nd half before their big WS run. Theyll be in contention but i actually trust the Padres over them
Dawg the Astros winning 100 games yordan mvp header gonna go wild with bull pen altuve and Bergman will be solid and Peña will bounce back and Kyle tucker will break out mark my word
Can't guarantee anything with the randomness of the playoffs, but I think they're set up to be in the playoffs every year and giving themselves the chance
If I were to change one thing at this point I may flip the Padres and Giants but I stand by it, let that offense prove themselves and give that good staff some run support
