Here we cover our air filter testing, any necessary tuning for a replacement "performance" air filter, and the actual performance improvements they provide on these bikes!
We also cover the HUGE improvements from throwing the stock tires in the trash where they belong, AND properly readjusting the chassis geometry to MASSIVELY improve handling and braking stability.
Our Mail In ECU Flashing Service for these bikes is on sale for $349.99 at 2WDW.com, and if you have any questions please feel free to email us at support@2wheeldynoworks.com. We are always happy to help!

Just sent you my ECU yesterday as well as my 2 buddies all at the same time. We can’t wait. I’m running the DNA filter with M4 exhaust

I appreciate you going over the suspension settings you're using because I'm not far off 240. I'm still working on break in but the Yoshi and a tune by you guys sounds like a winner.

@@2wheeldynoworksThe SP guys are crying a river hearing that the “premium” ohlins outfitted from the factory isn’t “that much better” than the base model setups. lol. I have been saying this since the release of the gen 3 in 2021. The components that come on the bike vs the ones purchased aftermarket are not the same. Especially in the case of the gen 4 with the rear shock and forks being improved over gen 3, I’d buy base all day and put the extra money towards a tuned suspension setup for my specs. To each their own I guess. On another note I had a feeling the drop in filter wasn’t going to do much. Maybe once DNA makes a lid there can be some decent gains to work with on the tuning end

love your content! just bought a xsr 900 together with my father and i'm super exited to break it in. you remind me alot of rudy from alpha investments - youtube guy that does content on magic cards. totally different content wise, but the voice is somewhat similar :) keep up the nice work - greetings from the alps

That flat rear tire profile is the exact problem I had with S22s. Front was fine but the rear would be on the edge at very little lean angle. It’s a shame, really because otherwise, they seemed like a decent tire. S21 was the same. No idea what the S23 rear is like because now I just buy Pirelli.

Exactly our thoughts as well. The front seemed great, but the rear profile is a joke.

Hey man, I have a 2023 MT-09 SP and i just figured i would ask about your experience with the brakes on the 2024 at the track. Im going to the Ridge in August and its my first time. Just wanted to see if you experienced brake fade at the pace you ride at. Also, waiting for my LV Race Full System to come in for the bike and I'm so excited to see the difference 🙂

Love the look of the Leo exhaust on this bike. Does it make any subtle pops on decel to add to the experience?

Hello from Greece! I appreciate your time you spend to have a good result on this engine but i have a question and i want the exact answer please. The tune every body makes disassembling lambda sensor. I don't like that because i think it makes a somehow clever management to stupid. You can't give a target AFR, so the engine adapt to every climate?
@Syphertek

Dumb question but will there be anyway to modify the airbox in future to accommodate more air flow since the filter isn't the bottleneck?
@2wheeldynoworks

Yup! DNA is working on it.

Wouldn't raising the bar height make higher speeds more squirly? I mean, the thing is already a handful when grip and rip is engaged lol Also for future exhaust videos, can you leave a purchase link? I plan to get an exhaust soon and a tune from you. Just waiting for your very informative videos to come out to make my decision

With the increased ride height and better weight distribution from the taller rear tire and raised front forks, the head shake frustrations we first had were completely gone. Some of that may have also been attributable to the S23s. Either way, it's gone and I didn't even think about it one on track this past weekend 👌

Do you think the SP suspension will be better for us larger riders? I'm north of 240 lbs and was considering the base model, but I wonder if the SP is the way to go? 🤔 I'm not a track rider though, only on the street and twisty back roads
@2wheeldynoworks
@2wheeldynoworks 17 дней назад
Either way, the bike is undersprung for guys our size. All bikes are. Anything I keep for myself personally gets Ohlins properly sprung for my weight for exactly this reason.

I'm a total noob here but if I understand correctly, the tire size is not very important but rather the profile so you should be able to stick to the stock 180/55R17 tire size but a different profile and have the same result you had going to the 190/55R17 right? Also, is it possible to twist the end pipe away from the swing arm on the LV exhaust? I see springs but I don't know how the exhaust mounts but I really love the look of it lol *Edit: looked up videos on the exhaust and see now that the LV exhaust has a bolt on the backside that prevents you from twisting it away, could be solved by taking out that bolt and twisting it away but you're right, at the price of the exhaust, that's completely unacceptable.
@2wheeldynoworks
@2wheeldynoworks 17 дней назад
Exactly! Anything with a taller profile will work MUCH better.

Sounds like a giant dude of your size could use a set of springs at minimum. Every motorcycle under $20 grand has a lot to be desired with suspension and chassis setup. That said, with some good research and development, the aftermarket can get at least 90% or more of the way toward "perfect" (whatever that means) by way of neutral steering, lean clearance, pro/anti-squat behavior, and acceptable tire wear on track with suspension setup. I had been pretty ignorant about suspension years ago so I did my own independent research and watched a few lectures from professionals in the business. Plus I'm tired of badly handling factory bikes. Factories try to meet customer targets (price, weight class, anticipated use) and as such, are totally dependent on compromises. Bikes can handle SO much better than how they come off the showroom floor. Thanks for the information you provide!

@@zrx1100zz The chassis geometry of the 2018 MT-09 is problematic, no matter how perfect the suspension could be made to be. Yamaha changed that a lot over the next couple gens.

Isn't 190 to wide for that rim to give correct profile?

Not at all. That specific Michelin is 5mm wider than the OEM 180, just much taller with a much better profile.

I understand that you are a big guy but if you're saying that 240 is too much for this bike than I have absolutely no idea how are you supposed to ride 2 up on it. there is no way to not go over 240 with two people on this bike unless you mean it in a way that for track riding this suspension is to soft for your weight. Yamaha offered a spring kit for the 3rd gen maybe they will do the same thing for this one
