My wife has a gt version AUTO 2024 model she has gone from a 3 series BMW AUTO 21 Model m sport the Peugeot is the comfiest car we’ve ever owned the auto gearbox is so smooth in comfort mode never tried sport or eco she loves it. I’d like to test drive the 5008 if the 2008 series is so comfortable and quiet!
Tim from the opening shot I was hooked "Will he be able to fit in it ?" - you aced it ! The most interesting thing about this car is the front view where we get the clue that Peugot may be considering a side hustle of making retro fireguards :)
I've just bought a e-2008 1st edition, Registered Jan 2004 (on a 73 plate) ex demo with 1k miles on the clock for £23.5k. It's crazy to think that Peugeot are selling the exact same car for 42k! I genuinely feel sorry for anyone that's bought one at that price.
I tried a 2008 as a potential replacement for my 3008. The sales dude said I'd find leg/foot space cramped compared to the 3008, and he was right - I had to adjust the seat fully back and then the steering column didn't really come far enough out to match. Surprised that Tim, at the same height as me (6' 3") appeared to have no problem - perhaps the facelift has changed things?
I think that’s my favourite house in town! I notice the 2008 has a strangely protruding rear bumper. It reminds me of federalised euro cars of yesteryear 🤓
@rodneyforde1872 when I ordered the extras were standard but due to timing my order was 'upgraded' to the mk2 2008 peugeot assured me I'd get my sunroof and heated seats back in April 2023 August the same year I got the facelift version tbf I got free black paint and the premium 3d sat nav but I'd rather have the latter over that lol live n learn it's still a very nice car and super comfortable mine was £31k on the road
You forgot to mention that every time the driver stops with pressure on the brake peddle the engine stops and when you release the brake peddle the starter motor has to restart the engine, this puts extra wear on the starter motor and the engine, also the engine starts with an extra load of fuel so tell me how is this helping the environment.
Thanks so much, watching them melt away within 48 hours felt so good, and yes, I used what I mentioned the other day. It actually took a bit more to make them totally disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and days after I still can't believe the comfort.
The 2008 …. and indeed recent Peugeots in general, do seem to the knack of being rather lighter than you might expect. Hence, I guess the 1.2 litre 130PS is pretty good even for the larger cars.
I have just passed my test at the grand old age of 40 and my first car is the 2008 GT Auto in petrol (73 plate) - and I absolutely love it! Definitely made the right choice picking this car - great review!
