payton wilson is the best LB in this class, if he didnt have the injury history he would be a top 15 pick.. he will easily run a 4.4 40, i wouldn''t be shocked if it was faster too

IF Edgerrin Cooper is on the board when the Eagles pick I think that’d be a slam dunk selection. Seen him getting Bills first round whispers, as well. With LBs, I really like finding the diamond in the rough late round/undrafted guys. Guys like Robert Spillane, who wind up making plays years later sometimes. I liked D’Marco Jackson a lot two years ago, and still think he has a chance. Last year I liked Drake Thomas. This year Austin Moore from Kansas State is a guy I have an eye on. Undersized but processes the field exceptionally well. Has a 4.0 GPA, placed 4th at State for wrestling in high school. Played HB and LB in high school. He’ll get no hype but he’s an impressive athlete in his own right and would be a great UDFA at the very least. Aaron Casey from U Indiana is another good one, too.

Depends on what round you're projecting him to go. He's never drafted a linebacker any earlier than the 3rd round, and even more so its his most devalued position.

Detroit ignored the trends. They took Campbell and Gibbs with number 1 picks. It worked for them. That’s BS that you don’t draft LB’ or RB’s in the first round.

I'm not sold on Carter at the next level, hearing you talk about his movement reminds me of Brian Asamoah & he has a bit of the Nakobe Dean hype to him, who I wasn't sold on either. Cooper is my top actual LB but I think the best LBs in this class might not be playing the position. I think 6'5 220lbs Miami Safety James Williams has everything the NFL is looking for in a LB and could be the next Fred Warner. He needs to get a little stronger but is definitely a guy who can cover TEs & RBs & make life miserable for slot WRs with his length while being able to come downhill and fill a hole. If he bulks up a little bit and adds some strength to better deal with OL he could be special. I'd love to have Williams on the Commander's handling the RBs & TEs to free Jamin up to use his speed and explosion downhill. I also think Utah's Jonah Elliss could be the best of the brothers if he follows Kaden's footsteps to LB since he's only 6'2 240 lbs. I think he looks more fluid & athletic than Kaden who was a pretty good LB in New Orleans. OK States Collin Oliver is another undersized Edge that I believe has a ton of potential at LB at 6'2 235 lbs, getting sideline to sideline chasing down ballcarriers and rushing passers. A guy that could be very similar to Ivan Pace, but be less of a liability dropping into zones.

Something that's not talked about enough is not drafting a lb in the 1st. We always talk about it for rbs but linebacker is similarly devalued. But unlike rbs lbs bust a ton in the first and it has heen alot more effective to draft an athletic guy on day 2 or 3

Looking more at the LBs, it’s a much better class than last year, but it’s also not very strong. Jeremiah Trotter and Barrett Carter hasn’t been very good. Eichenberg is average at best. Payton Wilson and Edgerrin Cooper have been on the rise though.

You’re either lying about being a state fan or if you’re not lying you’re just a terrible one. He was arrested a single time and that was 5 years ago as a freshman and it was for underage drinking and fleeing. Nothing terrible by any means just a dumb mistake many normal college kids make. For injuries he has had a couple but come back each time with more production and better work ethic. Putting him down like this is an absolutely terrible take. He may not be a first rounder bc of the injuries and age, but knocking his personality and morals is fucking disgusting and you should be ashamed. Point, blank, period.

You’re full of crap about jail….he has had some injury issues because how hard he plays but averages 14 tackles a game and played every game this year..some State fan huh…doubt it..
