“We love Penix jr” that’s what I don’t get. If everyone is high on him, how is it a bad pick? We got 35 year old Kirk recovering from an Achilles. Penix makes a lot of sense. If you want to question why give Kirk 4 years, that’s a totally different discussion and has nothing to do with the quality of their draft.

Don’t knock it til you try it. Spencer Rattler might actually make some noise one day in the not so far immediate future. At least he don’t have to live up to the hype of the number 1 overall pick or 8 pick in Caleb Willams and Michael Phenix Jr. . Aside from the Carolina Panthers, I think the NFC South has the potential to be one of the better divisions in the NFL this year. Falcons should be really good on offense but really bad on defense, the Bucs will probably be good on defense and sub par on offense and I expect the saints to be vastly improved from a year ago on both sides of the ball. LETS GEAUX who dat nation!!!

The ONLY way the Penix pick makes sense is if the Falcons don't care about the $$ they are paying Cousins or any future Cap hits...and they also don't care that they COULD have drafted someone else who could step RIGHT IN and be a potential STAR from Day 1...AND they also don't care that Penix will be getting little to ZERO playing experience while he sits for 2-3 years...AND they DON't Care if Cousins AND Penix are both UnHappy...Cousins because he feels duped and Penix because he will not be playing....

I think if they try to trade penix then maybe it will make sense later

I hate to bitch and put my fan hat on, but damn can the BUCS get some respect. Every team has to get past them in the South and they won't I guarantee it.

The reason among many reasons is because they don't believe they will be drafting this high again for a while because they did sighny Kurt cousins was to make them contenders again I quite frankly think they did good ❤❤

Bucs had the best draft, imo. Plus they actually develop draft picks better than any other team in the NFC south. They made some solid pick ups in free agency too.

What's the over/under the Falcons wind up with 2 injured starting QB's this (pre)season? Anyone remember the 49ers having to bring in & then start Brock Purdy in the playoffs? That did turn out well, doubt #3 QB @ Falcons will do as well.

Drafting the future QB of the franchise now was genius. If Cousins plays well in a weak division as expected, the Falcons would never be able to draft that high. Not to mention, the Falcons may loose a first round oick for tampering. Turner didn't even go until pick 17 which tells me that hes not the guy to turn the franchise around. They addressed defense in the next few rounds and Kirk has offensive weapons to win now and in a couple years, or sooner, so will Penix.

The panthers probably just had one of the best drafts in NFl history, especially from the awful position they were put in due to the last GM. Despite that, I still have zero faith

This Was A Great Draft For The Falcons.. They Sured Up A Aging Defensive Line With A Bunch Of Powerful, Long Arm, Quick First Step, Pass Rushers Who Played Multiple Spots On The Line Which Is Good For Match Ups And It Wont Be Unfamiliar For Them To Come In And Do So. And They Got They QB Of The Future And Yes Kirk Cousin Is A Very Good And Capable QB But He’s Old And Just Came Off An Injury, I’ll Give It 2 Years Before Penix Start .. Which Is Basically Kirk Cousins Deal It’s Basically A Two Year Deal

Does anybody remember how atrocious the Falcons QB play was the last few years? Problem solved.

Thank you for taking check-down Charlie and his overblown contract off our hands. Kirk is 16-47 against winning teams, but will still leave your fanbase divided because of his stats. As a Vikes fan, I personally see him as an accurate passer who sells his throws with his eyes. He misses a lot of wide open recievers. REMEMBER I SAID THIS: throughout the course of the game, Kirk may go 5 for 6 or 6 for 6 on any given drive. Amazing right? It looks amazing on a stat sheet but that 5th or 6th completion was on 3rd and long or 3rd and 10 and Kirk chose to dump the ball off for a RB screen pass or a 7 yard pass to a TE who is immediately tackled short of the sticks. At the end of the game, half of the Falcons fanbase is going to look at Kirks stats and say, it's not his fault. They will blame the defense or anything else. The other half will say that Kirk killed 3 successful drives with check downs and the defense looks bad because we don't have the money to spend in free agency. That is gospel and it's your life now as a Falcons fan. From this day forward, you're a deteriating team with a playoff buuble future and a 12% chance of beating anyone who's .500 or better. MNF, TNF are dead to you now. He doesn't play outside of afternoon games on Sunday.
