@@bcajun1437 his original stock was around 2nd round most likely late, presuming was hurt because of his attitude during a reality TV show he took part in during his high school years, seems to me like he has matured but he was like mahomes in the sense of he was a bit of a crybaby blaming every one else even if it wasn't the best throw. kinda hard to forget about that but im really happy we drafted him
@@benjamindelgado2552 I disagree with you Jayden Daniels is going to be tough to get Will be happy if we get him. Bo Nix is underrated and wouldn't mind Penix is overrated injury prone and will not be drafted by us unless it's 4th round this Guy is a Sleeper
That's great I'm a BO NIX fan. I also coach football for 14 years. and I know talent when I see it. like JJ MCCARTHY if any one if those are there at #13. I would pick them. they can draft Spencer Rattler in 3rd or 4th bring him in for competition because the QB room is empty. AOC all we have.
@benjamindelgado2552 penix has had 2 ACL Repairs and jayden Daniels is to skinny want be able to take those hits in NFL look at panthers QB they gave up 3 first rounds for worst QB in the draft. just to much to give up on a chance
Only gamecock fans will truly understand what spencer meant to us. He is incredible on and off the field. We will miss him so dearly and root like hell for him
I was just thinking it'll be awhile until we get another QB like Rattler. I hope the new guys prove me wrong, and I hope Rattler goes big in the league
@ryder710 his top end speed is nothing to write home about but he can run to extend plays and is mobile outside the pocket and throws well on the run. SC's offensive line was trash last year so all of the numbers Spencer put up he did while absolutely running for his life. He's got a ridiculous arm, and behind a line that gives him any sort of time to throw he can pick a defense apart.
Its always the top 3 QBs, theyre so overrated. Im gonna be so upset if pats dont go with the best player in the draft with Harrison jr. Wed love to get Rattler in 2nd round@zm8w88
Im telling everyone right now. This is going to be the next big thing guy right here. He’s majorly underrated and in the right situation and be a top 10 QB. Big arm, excellent pocket awareness, good footwork, good accuracy, can read a defense. This dude has all the tools that when refined will make him a star in the NFL
Good fundamentals in the pocket, steps up when pressure pushes behind him, keeps his eyes down field and gets the ball out when he needs to - nothing flashy, just get your guys the ball and let them do their thing. I'm a fan and wish him the best.
Good fundamentals? Then why does he more often than not throw while on his back foot? Calling cap right now on this whole notion he has good fundamentals.
Gamecock fan here, where ever he falls in the draft the team that takes a shot on him is gonna be very happy. Dude has some real skills. Arm talent is off the charts and the best ive ever seen out of a gamecock qb. Accuracy is amazing and processing is decent. His o line was the worst in the sec and his only consistent weapon was Legette who was injured but played through it. If you watch the snaps where he actually gets protection, he usually makes a perfect throw on the money, but he showed he has a good amount of speed to run out of the pocket and make something happen. His stats might not look the best but watch his tape and I think he can be a solid starting nfl qb at worst. Consistency is key for him as well 🤙🏻🐓
Good comment. It makes me sick as a gamecock fan to think about how good we could have been if our o-line had not been depleted and young. and if wells had been able to play along with legette.
I thinks he is a perfect fit for teams like Seahawks, broncos, Saints. Where he can sit a little and be a great starter in year 2. Reminds me of Darnold coming out of USC. Great arm above average runner, tough as hell. I think he has a 10 year pro career.
Spencer may end up being the best QB in this draft. He has a quick release when he throws and he has good accuracy. He's also smart about when he chooses to run for the 1st down. And one more thing he has a strong arm that throws a good long ball.
The best thrower of the football in the draft. He was always my #1 guy with purdy being #2 as far as pure throwers accuracy and throwing wr open. Fast delivery and great mechanics
I genuinely hope that the Vikings take him, and get some other position in the 1st round. They already have a loaded WR/TE room, and their OLine has been playing well. I think Rattler may be the combo of Kirk and Dobbs that the Vikings need.
Is it just me, but after watching film on Williams, Maye, Daniels, and Penix....Rattler looks like the best out of all of them. Can make every throw, elevated talent around him, tough (ability to stand in and take major hits while completing big time throws), has very consistent mechanics and footwork, and has enough athleticism/mobility to make special plays when needed. As a New England fan I'm hoping they take Marvin Harrison Jr or trade down a few spots to take Neighbors and pair him with Rattler in 2nd.
His mechanics are really really clean. And while he only ran a 4.9.....we have to remember Mahomes ran a 4.8, Purdy ran a 4.8 and Burrow was a 4.8 as well and yet he looks a lot more mobile than that time.I love his arm and mobility
Hes been tested character wise an d has all the talent, survived so much scrutiny. I believe God humbled this young man, now its JUST football! He's about to ball out in the NFL
Best QB in the 2024 draft. I'm calling it now. A lucky NFL team will draft him and they will have the QB spot filled the next 13years. He is that good. Hope he goes somewhere that can groom him properly and improve his decision making.
This guy is special, very bright future in the NFL. RAIDERS please draft this guy, if he was in a better school hed have better stats and would be in the top 10.
People will look at the numbers and not be impressed but keep this in mind. He was one of four QBs to be sacked 40 times. He had the highest completion percentage of those QBs and was second in yards and TDs. Shedeur Sanders was at the top with 27 TDs. But he also played much tougher competition and better defense including Georgia and North Carolina. He’s a talented player, just needed to keep developing
Mike Tomlin has been open about wanting to target a QB in the mid rounds of the 2024 Draft. I think Rattler would be the perfect prospect for a QB friendly Arthur Smith system.
Haven’t paid attention to this kid until the Falcons buzz started a couple weeks ago. After giving him a hard look this kid might actually be the most NFL ready QB coming out. Whether it’s Atlanta or not, he’s about to find himself in a great situation.
I like that he stands in the pocket if he sees a guy getting open. Not afraid to take a hit. And he's not afraid to go deep. Chris Olave will be down there for him. Second string Derrick Carr NOOWWWW...
Absolutely love his footwork. And i remember him saying Mahomes is one of the qbs he looks up to. Didnt pan ouy with the sooners but just like everyone's saying. He'll be a sleeper.
If you’re a true football head you know THAT THROW AT 5:25 WAS FUCKING INSANE😂😂 55 yards off the backfoot, in the bucket, while someone is legit a millisecond away from burying him.
You wanna talk about a guy who blew alot of money. Start here! I do agree that he might be a sleeper prospect and get drafted earlier than people think.
Yes please in the 2nd. Don’t wanna take a chance that he gets scooped up before the 3rd. And definitely don’t wanna trade everything but the kitchen sink to move up from 6.
To me the guy who really pops off the tape here is Xavier Leggette he looks like an absolute stud. Unfortunately he landed with Bryce Young so he’s going to have a tough time producing as a rookie. Rattler looks like he will be a solid backup qb in the league maybe borderline starter
