2024 Nissan Versa S Manual Transmission | Owner's Review

You can watch this in 4k if you'd like.
This is my own personal opinion on my experience buying an owning a new 2024 Nissan Versa S--the cheapest car you can buy in the USA right now. Listen to the video for my thoughts if you're interested in buying this trim in particular; if you're after the SV and SR trims, watch other, more professional videos which cover those specific trims in detail. I wanted to record and upload this because when searching for this vehicle myself, there wasn't a lot on RU-vid that got into the specifics. I hope this helps any prospective buyers because with proper maintenance this car WILL get you well past 200k.

18k out the door plus free home delivery of a 100 miles is incredible! You did very well! Just to put it in perspective, in my area, the cheapest 2024 Toyota Corolla LE gasoline sedan (LE is the base trim like your S) is $27,000 out the door. So you saved 9 thousand bucks! Plus since it's manual, you know it's going to be reliable and last forever!

I have a 2023 Versa with a manual. The automakers say no one wants them but the dealer I was working with told me they can't keep them on the lot when they do get one. I was lucky to have called just after he had looked at what was coming in, I had to wait six weeks. Said while it was on the lot for the one day before I picked it up two people asked if it was available. It is bare bones not many bells and whistles as this video is telling you. The one thing I wish it had was a key fob. You have to manually unlock the door with the key. Driving it is actually kind of fun. Once you get use to it, it is quite quick. I get a minimum of 35 mpg on average. I think they would sell more if they offered them in a basic package. I paid less than $20,000 brand new. The dealer told me they don't make much on them but I think there is a market for more cars like this. They probably could ask another $1500 and still sell them. They want to make money on the bells and whistles on the more expensive cars

The only problem with the portable battery pack in the trunk is that, it will jump the battery with a “ no start “ problem. If the alternator is shot, car will run off the battery and eventually stall out. The jump start portable can jump it again, but a parking lot should be your next destination. CB

They don't make subcompacts anymore because automakers don't make as much profit per vehicle, and for the past 20 years, subcompacts have been sold as the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel new car. Especially in the US, you can just pay $100-200 more a month for a corolla or something. It really is a shame because I drive a huge sedan and I could really use a small, efficient car when mine dies. Not everyone wants an SUV.

Love the 5spd and speakers is surprisingly not bad at all. Although I didn’t get as good of a deal as you. How did you get under 19k after taxes? If msrp is a little over 18k and that’s not including taxes.

The manufacturer omits Apple CarPlay/Google Auto for safety reason, because it’s manual transmission. I notice the steering wheel isn’t perfect round, the bottom is flat. More leg room I suppose
@ComputersAreEverywhere
@ComputersAreEverywhere 15 дней назад
@@aps125 other vehicles with a manual have Apple car play so this was a Nissan decision to exclude it from this trim. I really love the steering wheel tbh. I want to talk about it when I make another video but it has indentations for your fingers behind the steering wheel that you can’t see which makes it more comfortable to use. TBH one of the best things about this car is the steering wheel lol. I wish the suspension was better.

It only has 5 gears. Around 65mph you’re doing 3kish rpm. You do have to get used to rolling in the higher rpms but that’s where the power is, and you still get above 35mpg. If you do highway mostly you can easily get over 40.
